Also, regardless of your feelings on human nature or anything, I think that a world where children can go to school without fearing being bombed from an ocean away is a world worth aspiring to and worth fighting for. Okay we might never abolish war because the inherent human nature or whatever mighty idealism you have. We could at least try to stop these wars, though?
Again. Everybody get more anti war right now.

Hi sweet Cic. I hope you’re doing well these days. Got bored this past weekend with nothing to do and just decided to reread all your fanfics. I do hope one day who surprise us with a WK update. Or The Rules. Or more of the NHI universe. Really any of your work since it is absolutely delightful to read and so beautifully written. Whether updates are in our future or not, I hope you know how much joy your stories continue to bring me (and I’m sure others) still to this day. Stay well!
Hi lovely Anon!
Thanks so very much for your kind and very welcome message, and for reading my stuff. In this gaspingly cruel current world, I find it deeply comforting to hear I've connected with you and other readers in any positive way. Updates are definitely in your future! I've started posting NHI at AO3 and have WK and The Rules in draft over there as well, and moving those over-- as well as the support and encouragement of people like you and other fandom friends I stay in touch with-- really has reminded me what I love about writing Han and Leia (shoutout OG anti-fascists) and inspired me to get seriously back to my work in 2026. Writing fic may be small in the face of everything awful, but I don't believe creativity is ever a wasted endeavour, whether personally or if even to reach readers who then in turn enjoy and interact in kindness and support with each other and, luckily for me, me! Thanks so much again, Anon. Love to you. If you're in the States, stay safe-- Canada cares about you and is with you in defiant spirit.
ICE has executed a man in Minneapolis today. The video is horrifying. There were five ICE ‘officers’ against one man who was on the ground and they shot him repeatedly. This was caught on video and I watched it.
They will try and spin this. They will say he was armed (which is his legal right). They will try and say he was a paid agitator or part of some horrible left wing terrorist organization.
DONT LISTEN.
This was an execution clear and simple. Whether or not he was armed has nothing to do with it, he was subdued on the ground when he was shot.
I truly don’t know what the country/world is hearing from Minnesota right now but I’m fairly certain it’s not the whole story. We are angry, we are afraid, we are helping our community in unprecedented numbers, we have been peaceful, we know our rights and have followed the law.
Fifty THOUSAND people were in the streets yesterday with almost no police presence and the whole thing was peaceful and lawful and filled with hope and love.
The thugs hate that and they are scared so they decided to execute a man in retaliation.
I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
As some of you may have seen on the news, our city has been occupied by federal ICE agents for many weeks now; estimates hover around 3,000+ ICE agents. Agents have been waging a 24/7 campaign of terror against Minnesota communities, with a major emphasis on Minneapolis. They have committed mass abductions of our BIPOC and immigrant neighbors; they have subjected women and trans community members to gender-based violence; they have murdered two Minneapolis residents. They have detained children as young as 2 years old. Toddlers. They used a 5-year-old child as bait to lure his family from his home to be detained.
Whatever you think it's like in Minnesota right now from wherever you live, it's worse. It's far worse than you're imagining.
On January 7, ICE agents murdered Renee Nicole Good, 37, a queer woman, poet, mother, and wife. They shot her 4 times as she tried to drive away from them. They refused offers from observers to provide her medical care. As she lay dying, a male ICE agent called her a f-cking b-tch.
Today, on January 24, they murdered Alex Jeffrey Pretti, an intensive care unit nurse. Several agents - at least 7 - beat Alex repeatedly in the head, tear gassed him, restrained him, and repeatedly shot him at point blank range. Before they murdered him, Alex had stepped in to help a woman whom the agents pushed to the ground.
If you do not live in Minnesota, Stand with Minnesota is a very helpful website filled with places to donate, mutual aid information, scripts for contacting your elected officials, calls to action, and more.
Please help us. https://www.standwithminnesota.com/
Please do not read this and turn away. Please share this with anyone and everyone you know.
And if you support ICE, unfollow me. You are not welcome on my page, ever.
Yesterday, upwards of 50,000 people marched in Minneapolis under a -30 degree wind chill in support of what was the largest American labor strike in over 80 years and today the regime executed an ICU nurse in the street for the crime of filming their gestapo thugs as they terrorized his community.
His name was Alex.
Video from Aaron Parnas on Instagram.
Government controlled media is already reducing it to "hundreds" of people in the streets today, but rest assured it is tens of thousands of Minnesotans marching through downtown. Local folks on bluesky were saying all the buses were full, the metro trains were all full, the highways were empty on a Friday.
This is not insignificant. This is what resistance looks like. We outnumber them and we are organized
It sure would be a shame if this murderers face was plastered everywhere.
