The US healthcare system is fucked.
reblog this if you’re jewish or your blog is a safe space for jewish people
in light of recent events as well as a new rise in creating nazi ocs I think this post is an important one to have on your blog if you stand behind your jewish followers or are jewish yourself.
If you can’t reblog this unfollow me.
Please reblog this if fanfiction has been beneficial to your mental health.
so can we start hunting down white liberals now or what
The full picture is even more heart breaking after you open the uncropped version. Just a heads-up, it's rough
“The Roman Catholic Parish in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was just grafitted.”
Nah let’s post it. Let’s feel it. Don’t look away.
I notice alot of my followers on here skipping these posts just to mess with my lgbt ones, suspiciously the white popular ones.
Heres a not so friendly reminder, as an lgbt metis person, i dont give a single fuck what your blog is themed or if this is too painful for you to look at. Reblog this post. Reblog this post with the sources of the 751 children who were found.
Your compliance and silence as well as the compliance and silence of your ancestors is what allowed these schools to open and kill first nations children. The children of MY people.
Dont follow me if you cant reblog this post or the one with sources to your political blog or your most popular blog. Add trigger warnings if you must but if your political blog is only focused on the harms you personally face like being lgbt then you need to see some bigger pictures and stop being afraid of angering your racist mutural or actually saying some shit about racism. If you can reblog some antifa graphics or add blm to your bio to be a surface level ally, you can reblog some sources on the genocide first nations people faced and still face today.
They were CHILDREN.
They were murdered in cold blood.
I’d like to add this photo I took last night in Victoria of the statue of Captain Cook. Though I myself am not indigenous, I 100% agree that these murderers, kidnappers and rapists shouldn’t have huge statues and plaques that decorate them and say how “great” they were.
Here’s another photo of the legislative assembly from yesterday. Later on there were more items, candles and signs at the memorial, as well as a big poster with 1505 painted on it but I didn’t get a picture
People need to see this. Not just quickly glance at the photos and keep on scrolling. They need to see this.
Reblog this or just stop following me
I had seen the first picture of the church, but not the second.
I went to a “Cancel Canada Day” event and burst into tears - not because I was surprised to learn of the unmarked graves (survivors told us they were there. Our government pushed it aside, and we let them), but because seeing all the people gathered in mourning drove it home: They. Were. Children.
This is my country’s legacy - and it’s not history. The last schools closed during my lifetime. My Father went to school with students who lived at the local residential school, after it was changed to a boarding house (read: holding centre) for indigenous youth who went to local schools.
They were all children, injured, abused, and killed in my country’s attempt to erase them. I want the world to see this and hold the state accountable to *active* reconciliation> I mean we could at least truly adopt UNDRIP in action instead of words for god’s sake.
here you can read an article about a survivor of the church and some of the things he experienced to help put into perspective how awful and just how recent it was
Quick PSA,
You can fight for a woman's right to wear a hijab and also fight for another woman's right to NOT wear one if she doesn't want to - and you'd still be fighting for the same thing, a woman's right to choose.
You're still fighting for her freedom.
absolutely in love with the fact that maeve was stronger than homelander and could have killed him like she dreamed about but she chose to pull soldier boy out the window and save everyone instead
It’s funny. My whole life, I didn’t think I had any family. Turns out I got two.

I love this song.
Specially when sung in groups:
GOD I just want to be CREATIVE but all my energy is being used to survive
this is one of those "you put it into words" kind of posts. right on.
Don't feel ashamed of doing "CHILDISH" things
•buy toys/dolls/crayons •play with Legos •play old videogames/dress up games •weave friendship bracelets •watch cartoons •use stickers •draw pics of your favorite characters
If it makes you feel nice, do it. Don’t even worry about what other people think, because it doesn’t matter–if it brings you happiness, it’s not “ridiculous”, or “immature”.
You deserve to enjoy yourself.
Let me share with you what I consider to be the most important less I’ve learned in my adult life:
“Growing up doesn’t mean you can’t have Zebra Cakes. Growing up simply means that, if you want to have Zebra Cakes, you buy them for yourself.”
“What the hell are you talking about, Bear?” Well, let me explain. For those of you who live outside of the US, this is a Zebra Cake:
It’s a little pre-packaged snack cake that is horribly cheap and junky and really not that great, but it is like manna from heaven to me. I fucking love these things. When I was a little kid growing up, my mom bought Zebra Cakes but once in a blue moon. They were intended to be put in mine and my siblings’ school lunches, but my brother and I would eat them whenever we wanted, so Mom just didn’t see the point. (They also used to be kind of expensive, at least for our family’s budget.) Needless to say, the coveted Zebra Cakes were a luxury for me, and were one of the tastes of my childhood.
Fast forward to my college years. I was living in an apartment with three other people, doing my own shopping and cooking. I was in the grocery store, picking up some stuff, and I happened to walk past a display of snack cakes. Among them were several boxes of Zebra Cakes.
I paused at this, chuckling to myself. Oh man. Zebra Cakes. I haven’t had those in years. I loved those when I was a kid. I reminisced happily and thought about how much I missed the taste of Zebra Cakes, then started to walk away.
And then I stopped dead.
Because I had realized that there was literally nothing stopping me from buying a box of Zebra Cakes. There was nothing stopping me from buying ten boxes of Zebra Cakes. If I wanted Zebra Cakes, I could have goddamn Zebra Cakes, because it was my money and my decision to make.
I put two boxes in my cart (they were 2 for $5) and never looked back.
Here’s the secret I learned that day: The idea of something being “just for kids” is, by and large, bullshit. What you do on your own adult free time with your own adult money is, by its very nature, adult stuff. It’s like comedian Eddie Izzard (who frequently performed his routines in drag) once said when someone asked about him wearing ‘women’s clothes’: “They’re not women’s clothes. They’re my clothes. I bought them.”
I am 25 years old, and yesterday I bought myself a shark lunchbox. Look at it. Look at how awesome my lunchbox is.
Was this lunchbox intended to by bought for and used by a child? Yes. The tag said it was for ages 3 and up. But it was bought by and will be used by an adult, and anyone who thinks that’s wrong is probably just jealous that they don’t have the self-confidence to rock a shark lunchbox at 25.
So like. Being “mature” and “an adult” doesn’t mean you have to completely abandon the things that made you happy when you were younger. It just means that you may have to approach them in a different way.
Pay attention, there’s a lesson here
I hesitated reblogging this, and I am not entirely sure why.
LEGO. I just turned 42 and I have LEGO sets allllll over my house. Why? Because I wanted them, and because it is my money and I will spend it how I like, MOTHER.
As long as you aren’t bankrupting yourself, buy the things you *want* to buy, the things that bring you JOY.
you are missing out on so much if you just stick to “adult things”
I still sleep with plushies
My Very Adult™ office in my apartment is decorated with Funko Pop figurines and Titans vinyls from my favorite fandoms. 💙
My Dad: “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.“
Me: Yeah they didn’t have video games back then? So-
This is important. As someone who grew up with religiously strict parents I felt like I missed out on a lot of things in my childhood. So now I watch all the cartoons and eat all the sugary snacks I wasn’t allowed. And it makes me so happy.
"The joke at Marvel is that the reason why I made Eternals is so I can go online & read the fanfiction about my own movie. I'm also going to write some on AO3 and put it up with a different name." - Chloé Zhao

Does anyone else feel, like, a weird inhibition against starting new TV shows? Like, there are shows I want to watch but when I think about sitting down to start it something in me goes “no you can’t just do that.” What am i waiting for? I feel like I need to prepare? Brain: You have to wait. Me: Wait for what??? Brain: WAIT
I found out recently that it’s due to not having enough emotional or mental space to process something new. Got too much going on in your own head/real life already.
Me: I would like to experience this new thing.
My Brain:… no.
Me: Why not?
My Brain: Can’t do it. Not today.
Me: Whyyyyyyyy?
My Brain: Because we are processing at capacity and one more stream is going to crash the whole system.
Me, aloud: I’m not in the mood to try (new thing) right now.
THIS IS A REAL THING??? ARE YOU SHITTING ME?!!?
Wow. that explains… so much
No wonder I can barely start new anime or cartoons anymore.
This also can be a very common issue for people with ADHD or other conditions that cause emotional dysregulation, even if you’re not actively Going Through Something at the time. Like, the knowledge that it’s going to evoke an emotional response in you means you’re more likely to keep putting it off because you have trouble returning to an equilibrium after an emotional spike. Like, shows that I have been REALLY INTO, like SUPER INVESTED, with lots of feelings involved – I have to take breaks between new episodes of it and go back to watching things I’ve already watched before that I know how they end, and I’m prepared for the emotions that go with them, to give myself a break from the emotional spikes and exhaustion of being surprised – even pleasantly – by the media I’m watching.
Oh gdi…
I’d also argue that streaming platforms dropping whole seasons at once is a big part of the problem. I can totally find the emotional bandwidth for one episode a week. But 8-12 episodes all at once? Nope. And I know I’m probably not going to be able to stop partway through, or do one episode a week on my own, because I know I AM going to get invested in the story.
Didn’t know other people struggled with this as well
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS GIF SET EVER SINCE I GOT ON TUMBLR
And there it is.
Men actually ADMITTING that they realize a lot of men are fully aware that they are generally unlikeable, have little substance and little to offer a woman in a relationship.
They're also admitting that said men are becoming butthurt about the fact that women now more than ever are making the conscious decision to no longer settle for them just so we won't have to deal with the "shame" of being single.
Insecure and self-entitled men are literally upset over the fact that women no longer need them the way we used to in the past. Their sense of self-worth is dependent on female validation and instead of stepping up their game, changing how they think, etc, they're starting to pout and throw tantrums over how useless they feel.
Bravo to the men speaking out on this in a positive way
Sad, innit?
