Okay, the NDAs might have been overkill, Dana was realizing.
"Sorry, should I have brought my lawyer to this little tea party too?" Yolanda drawled, causing a flurry of chuckles around the room and breaking the awkward tension lingering in this odd little assemblage, lounged around Dana’s coffee table.
It was a relief.
Dana was pretty sure none of them had ever done anything like this before.
Well, probably Baran.
But—
"Aw, give it a rest, Garcia," Dana laughed, tossing a pen at her (yes, she’d come prepared with the necessary office supplies, what of it? A venture like this required thorough preparation), the doctor flinching away in mock alarm, grinning. "They’re not real and you know it. I’m just trying to impress the seriousness of you agreeing to the rules here. I will not have anyone turning this around on Emma and making things difficult for her."
"Wait, does that mean no Dr. J videos about tonight?" Trinity smirked. "Cuz’ sexual health is a big topic on the 'Tok, I hear. She’d get some epic content, that’s for damn sure."
"Trinity, must you??" Victoria whined, dragging a hand down her belabored face. "And you know no one calls it that! You are literally just wreaking havoc!"
Trinity leaned forward with a wolfish grin. "Wait, have you even had sex, Crash, because—?"
"Alright, that’s enough," Cassie cut in with a snicker, drawing the still cringing Victoria close with an arm, the sofa creaking softly at the movement. "Leave the baby alone."
An indignant gasp: "I’m not a—!"
"No shame in it, hon," Cassie cooed, tucking the now-pouting girl closer. "I just meant you’re the youngest here. Now pay attention to Dana and stop letting Santos rile you."
"THANK YOU," Dana groused, trying not to grin at the chaos—better to inspire fear, after all— and shoving the small stack of papers to the center. She nodded for everyone to grab a sheet. "As I was saying. Emma chose all these boundaries, but she’s trusting me to keep them in place: so, you agree or you get out."
"Instead of get off."
"Trinity, honestly," Baran sighed, looking at her with tired dismay...tinged just enough with an equally-begrudging affection.
"Alright, alright," Trinity laughed, grabbing one of the papers. "Shutting up. Ready for your instruction, Nurse Evans," she parodied with a salute for effect.
"You’re lucky my attention’s not on you tonight, Santos," Dana warned, looking up from under her readers before straightening back to attention. "Now, most of it is self-explanatory. Nothing dangerous, nothing permanent. There can be some impact play, or discomfort, within reason, but nothing too painful beyond that. Stick to what you like in sex and you’ll probably be fine."
"We have words?" Baran asked softly, with perfect poise.
"Yes. Going with the classic 'Red' for stopping. Or tapping you, if her mouth is full." (Dana noticed Victoria squirming a bit at that and tried not to grin. She hadn’t been sure about inviting the kid, but Cassie had asked, and Dana figured having someone new to this wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing. She’d just be a bit softer for Dana’s girl in the midst of things). "And if Emma asks for me, it doesn’t mean you did something wrong—just means she needs something. Water, a break maybe. So, grab me and I’ll come figure it out."
"This says here that toys are okay?" Garcia asked, pointing.
"Right. There’s a table set-up in there that you can choose from. Anything on it is able to be used, and already sanitized. If you do end up using something, just toss it in the en suite sink when you’re done and I’ll clean it later."
"And if I brought one of my own?"
"Let me see it?"
Garcia rummaged in her bag, finally emerging with something like an over-large travel toiletry bag. Unzipped it and—
"Yeah, that should work. Bit bigger than ours but she can handle it. Probably best you brought your own harness anyway."
"Um… were we supposed to come prepared?" A quiet Samira piped up from the far armchair, lip between her teeth.
"No, no, you’re totally fine. Toys are welcome, but so is just good ole’ hands. Or whatever."
"You don’t even have to do anything sexual if you don’t want, Samira," Baran added, leaning forward with steady reassurance. "You could do anything you like. Braid her hair. Drag a feather down her arms. Even draw on her if you like—I’m sure she wouldn’t mind taking her blindfold off later to some pretty flowers. Just provide sensation."
"Right," Dana agreed. "Obviously, please, no-one make yourselves uncomfortable. The point is that you get to do what you want. Emma can handle a lot, sure. But mostly she just wants to be," (curse her Germanic complexion and its tendency to blush when aroused), "used."
Samira nodded slowly, clearly still wrapping her head around things.
Fair. In some ways, Dana was still wrapping her head around it too. She’d been planning this for a few weeks now, sure, but until Emma had brought up the idea, this would never have even been on the map of things Dana would consider.
But, oh, now that it was…
Well. Let’s just say Dana felt invested.
"…Is there, like, an order or something?"
"No, except that Baran goes last. Baran is the only one Emma knows about for sure, and we have specific, agreed-upon plans already about what that will be. Which folks are welcome to stay and…" actually Baran was probably better to speak to this. Dana waved a hand in her direction for permission.
"Yes, you’re welcome to watch," the woman said. "It will be… intense. But I’ve been doing this for years and have a lot of research and training on how to keep it safe. If you want to learn, I’m happy for this to be a demonstration."
"Provided, once again," Dana warned, "that nothing that happens here ever leaves this room, or this circle of women. That includes not bringing it up to Emma. She has a blindfold that will stay on, as well as soundproof headphones. The 'not-knowing-who' of it all is part of the experience. She trusted me to choose five women from the hospital as I liked."
"Who knew Bambi was so kinky!" Trinity cackled, eyes bright. "Christ, can you imagine? Walking into the Pitt and knowing, there working around you, any one of them could know exactly what you look like when you come—is playing it in their minds every time you hand them a chart?!"
Dana let the smirk unfold slowly, gloriously upon her face: just like the idea of it unfurled hotly, incendiary in her chest. "That’s is indeed the point, Santos," she purred.
"Jesus, fuck," Cassie muttered, shifting her hips on the couch, Victoria looking up curiously from where she was curled against her shoulder.
"Fuck indeed," Baran said with a rare, almost carnivorous smirk.
"And when does this start?" Yolanda grit, already impatient.
"Sign that agreement for me, and I’ll tell you," Dana instructed, nodding at the messy scatter of papers and pens.
With a chorus of shuffles and breaths, curious gazes flitting around as they each took in the jittery, eager, humid mood of the room, they did so.
Then, Dana gathered the little stack, checking each name in turn.

hear me out, we book an air b&b, we choose our characters, we dress as said characters, live like them, interact like them. We become said characters for a weekend and never have to think about anything else besides the plot.
