okay wait wait hold on. do you guys know the difference between a tag and a search? is that what the discrepancy here is?

when you search something you get every post on the website containing those words. you have to go into the tag to see posts that were published with the understanding that others would see it when they go looking for the thing.

tags are the things at the bottom of a post with a #hashtag. you deliberately put those on a post to categorize it and make it findable. you will see those posts, and ONLY those posts, by searching the tag.

these two functions are completely different:

if you click the top one, you're going to get every original post on the website that uses the word malevolent, NOT the curated tag. check the list of hashtags at the bottom of a post--if #malevolent isn't one of them, people in the #malevolent tag were not meant to see it!

while we're here, a couple blacklisting tips: blacklists will pick up the tags on the original post even if a reblog doesn't have them! if an original post is tagged #malevolent neg, blacklists will catch EVERY reblog of that post!

also, when setting up a blacklist you can use asterisks before and/or after a term to broaden it. blocking "#*malevolent neg*" should cover tags like '#malevolent negative' and '#cw malevolent neg'. there's also a field for blacklisting terms rather than tags, which will block every post with "malevolent neg" anywhere in the text, including usernames!
