I can no longer remember the title of the book it’s from, but here’s a quote that has remained trapped in my head for the last 8 years: “Driving in Ireland is dangerous because the roads are full of old farmers who’ve led good lives and are fairly sure they’ll get into heaven.”

My dad did write a song, and as a fun thing I once recorded it with Chet Atkins and Floyd Cramer when I was in Nashville. I played bass, Chet played guitar, Floyd played piano. The name of the record is "Walking in the Park with Eloise." I took it back to my dad and said, "Remember that song you wrote?" He said, "No." I said, "What do you mean?" He said, "Son, I didn’t write it, I made it up." And I said, "Oh, we call that writing."

does anyone remember the amc show interview with the vampire? one of the greatest things television gave us in its era. heartbreaking that it ended after two seasons when those characters were so beautifully crafted. i really wish we could’ve had more.
POV: it's 1969, the Beatles released their latest cringe track The Ballad of John and Yoko, and we gotta find a reason to get that shit banned.
Claudia was… everything. I loved her unconditionally. All the noise, the chaos, the crisis of my former existence, silenced. The simple joy of her hand in mine. You had a daughter. I had a daughter.
