Idea for why Vecna would target Holly.

Vecna isolate Holly by becoming this nice figure that people think is an imagery friend,and she thinks he protects her from monsters. Not knowing he in fact the monster.

Mike can relate to how Holly is acting the way she pulls away from their parents. So Mike gives her Holly the Heroic a brave cleric (wonder why he chose cleric?) because she can protect Holly.

The night Holly and their parents are attacked she uses a walkie and calls for Mike.

He drops everything to protect his family, only when he arrives his father is nowhere to be seen and he hears screaming from the basement.

Mike does protect Holly and their mother, but they are both hurt anyway and in that moment he is Vecna'd. He hears the voice telling him, it's his fault, they will die if he doesn't do as he told. "be a hero Michael" he is pulled out only so he can walkie Nancy or anyone really, telling them to call an ambulance... And then he screams himself as the demogorgon attacks and drags him away.

Targeting Holly was never about her. It was to pray on Mike's need to be a hero, to be needed and the fears that he will be the death of everyone he loves. Mike gets dragged away before he is even sure his family is gonna make it.

By targeting Holly, you target Mike, by taking out Mike you target the party, Nancy and specially you take Will's heart away.

A kiss I so desperately want to write in a Byler fic is a reference to Skam France.

I can totally see Will painting a wall or another type of bigger project and Mike helps out. They end up flirting a lot and Mike at some point playfully paints a little heart on Will's cheek. In the end they are covered in paint and making out.

They could already be dating doing this.

Bonus points for it being blue and yellow paint.

Remus being a werewolf = Will being a vessel for Vecna and having horrible visions.

Sirius had an abusive family, but he loved his brother, even though he could never quite get him as Remus did. = Ted wheeler low-key being emotionally abusive and Mike lives Nancy and Holly so much but never fully got him like Will did.

The marauders = The Party

Remus who is warm and cosy, likes to read and learn and most people who know him outside of the Marauders think he is some shy nerd but really he is just as mischievous as the others. = Will who loves art and music, and everyone outside the party thinks he is shy and awkward, but really he is Strong and fearless and is kinda bossy.

Sirius who when he stopped caring what his family thought grew out of his heir and started wearing clothes he liked. = Mike who when he stopped caring what his dad thought started to grow out his hair and wear clothes he liked.

Remus who is the more dominant one in bed and likes to praise and worship Sirius but also be mean and cruel. = Will who is the more dominant one in the relationship, likes to praise Mike but also likes to be really rough with him and degrade him a little.

We've seen Knarlie angst where Charlie's jealous of Knox's pursuit of Chris, but hear me out on this idea: Charlie being weirdly insistent and supportive of Knox getting with Chris. Charlie wanting Knox so badly but thinking he can't have him (either through internalized homophobia or feeling undeserving) that he'd do anything to get the two together because

1) Knox would be happy and at least someone can love him

2) It's less tempting and, "easier," if Charlie can't have Knox because Knox is already taken. No chance he'll be liked back, no chance he'll be given a shot, peace of mind that there's no point in asking at all since he already has an answer (that being, "no")

Self sabotage because he's so in love that he's terrified.

I’ve had this headcanon for a while abt byler, that when Will was a horrible baby to take care of the the first few weeks after he was born, like I’m talking waking the whole house in the middle of the night where everyone wakes up mad the next day, until the night of April 7, when Mike was born, he just became the easiest baby to get to sleep and overall made parenting easier on Joyce
