Today’s Action: Sign petition for LGBTQ+ equality in Italy

In a few days, Italy could make a historic move for equality: the Senate is about to decide if ALL Italian couples – including gays and lesbians – should be recognised by the law.

But it won’t be so easy. Anti-gay religious extremists and politicians are on the attack, calling for lawmakers to vote against the bill. Our partners in Italy are fighting back tooth and nail but, in order to tip the balance in the right direction, they need people from around the world to back them up.

That’s where we come in. Prime Minister Matteo Renzi promised that civil unions would be approved by now, and it’s the first time this bill has got to the voting stage. If thousands of us join together right now, we can make love win in Italy. Tell Renzi and Italian senators to vote for love and equality.

They are so close to their first big milestones of signings that we can really make a difference here.

For Today’s Action, we would like to see you sign this petition and spread the word about it on Tumblr and Twitter.

Steven Universe - French Dub Censorship in Jailbreak

HELLO TUMBLR. Remember how Stronger Than You was like, the best singing cartoon moment for f/f representation ever ? Well France is not having any of that. Here’s the full French song with subs, where Ruby and Sapphire are in the French dub une amitié qui durera à l’infini, “A FRIENDSHIP THAT WILL LAST FOREVER”. “A duo”, Jasper being mad not because she’s single, but because 1+1>1. No more conversation, just some complicity. A friendship. Cartoon Network France issued a statement here, on a paying LGBT magazine article. I couldn’t access it, but from what I gathered in the comments, CN is neither apologizing or planing on changing things. (I have NO IDEA how they’ll translate Love Letters. Or Keystone Motel. Or Rose and Pearl. Or anything, really, wtf Cartoon Network.) So far some people (French-speaking Steven Universe fans are a tiny community) have decided to spam CN France facebook and twitter page. An online petition is also up, please consider signing it !! And could you please help us, @rebeccasugar and @stevencrewniverse ? ALSO, please consider signal boosting this shit ??!!!

EDIT: it worked !! Amethyst French VA could be the one how left a message on a French blog calling out the team about the censorship, saying they would do a new translation and a new dub, apparently !! Thank you all <3
