(air, land, sea)- to self, your loves, and community, on our ever so small yet vast planet.
(cone 5.5 stoneware, underglaze, glaze) ceramic wall tiles made from my gay and trans perspective :)
extras: The albatrosses stem from the broad number of female same-sex lifelong couples. The bucks and whales stem from documented homosexual behaviour of the species. A kobudai is also featured in the third tile changing sex from female to male.

I tried to make one of those fuzzy animal type art dolls, has turned out very floofy
I made a pretty okay tiny waffle plate though
I tried to make a miniature kitsune udon but the resin went wild and now it is very haunting
I am making the 2nd edition of my zine that will not die - Nature is Queer as Fuck
Itâs about how biology is actually super weird and queer and the ways nature can inspire the lbgtqia+ community đ
The 1st version is over 3 years old but it still sells at like every market so giving it some new art and 9 new critters âcause it deserves some love for itâs Sydney debut/Mardi Gras season
Here is some redone art (text not finished) and look at one of the new pages!
Casually browsing SBS (one of Australiaâs public broadcasters) and saw this extremely bad looking movie, being a person of taste, I clicked through
Why is rated MA15+? Is it a parody thing?
Oh no
Oh no, the uploaded film is not-quite-porno of the same name
This was my greatest triumph in my cursed food dice making phase. I made these about three ish years ago and posted them to Reddit at the time, but now that I'm back on Tumblr I wanted to share them again here! They're made out of UV resin for the sauce and polymer clay for the beans. ^^
Father and Son, Lugh & CĂș Chulainn || Justice & Strength
Just because I got a reply to this post and I havenât addressed it on tumblr, this is a PSA that I have no time for anyone that promotes racist ideologies when it comes to both my art as well as the broader subject of Irish mythology and folklore. Much like Norse mythology, interest and promotion of Celtic mythology has oftentimes been used as a conduit for racism. This must be tackled head on with upmost severity.
I enjoy creating diverse characters when drawing. The subject matter of Irish mythology and folklore does not and should not limit this because it is fictional, there is no canon interpretation of any story and character and, if you want to be extra pedantic, the Tuatha DĂ©, Fomorians and Fir Bolgs are different races in themselves, so any assumption that they should abide by a small-minded (and racist) interpretation of how Irish people should look is already null.
My interpretation of Lugh is inspired by how heâs described in âMĂłr ar bhfearg riot, ri Saxanâ, taking the description in the literal sense. But regardless, however I choose to draw him is my business and mine alone and if you disagree, then you need to take a long hard look at yourself and realise that whatever way you gloss it over, you are being racist.
Reblogging the above sentiment once more in consideration of last week's events in Dublin. The majority of the country have stuck their heads in the sand for years with regards to the ever-increasing far right in Ireland. We cannot allow fascists and racists to win. If you engage with my art and harbour small-minded and racist ideals of what is and isn't "Irish", I will block you on sight.
I have not had much art energy as my PhD is unending and I work full time but I did make a cosplay and go to a comic con for the first time in like ten years

The winged ox of St Luke, patron of artists and physicians
I love thinking about how saints often also incorporate older stories and traditions, a little bit of insight into some lost mythology. Winged bulls and cows appear in other, older mythology about creation and healing and most explanations of why it is st Lukeâs symbol are a pretty big stretch imhoâŠ
There is a lot of debate but St Luke probably had nothing to do with art in his life (he was probably a doctor of some sort) but there is still something that ties science and art together and makes it make sense that the same person should look after both of them.
Finished my very stupid CĂș Chulainn zine!
Full version + printable pdf available on my Patreon for now! Will eventually make it public but idk when
What is this, a crossover episode?
