Insanely tough day at USAT Duathlon National Championship Standard Distance. Quite the challenge with hills all around with a starting altitude of 4,000 ft and topping out at 5,400 ft. From winning SB Duathlon that was flat and zero altitude to altitude with hills. From a 2:20 to a 2:27, that marginal difference in finish time surprises myself with all course and conditions considered! Congratulations to everyone who finished and will torture themselves with a second race of draft legal Sprint and non draft legal Sprint tomorrow!! (at Bend, Oregon)

Your body knows what to do the second you toe the start line to when you cross the finish line. When you trust your body and lay it all out there. ⚡️Raced all by effort and trusted the process. I didn't know where I was for a position all day until getting off the bike. This was by far my best race despite the injuries I believed would hold me back. You are stronger than you think you are. I just thank my Sherpa/boyfriend/coach/support/jack-of-all-trades @loc_intri ❤️@pfits for dialing me in on the bike where I smashed a 2:36 🚴🏼‍♀️ @cruze2health for putting my body back in alignment and bringing back my health in time to race 💪🏻@shellyflipntri for being an inspiring individual and wonderful homestay 🍷 @jackiej_tris for teaching everyone the lesson that age is just a number and anything is possible 🏆@flocycling for engineering wheels that fly like rockets 💨 and my parents who constantly fly give me the support inner to thrive in this sport I am passionate about!
