Parte dos of my yard work allergy attack
Thought for the day
A is annoyed at B for being in the shower for ages and using all the hot water. Unbeknownst to them, B has come down with something, and the shower was the only thing relieving their congestion. Not to mention comforting and warm against their achy body.
A goes to confront them, but their whole demeanor softens when they find B perched on the edge of the bed, towel pulled tightly around them. Still naked and damp, shivering, and sneezing pathetically.
Based on recent real-life events: I love when people comment on their partner’s allergies, sort of speaking for them! Like, the person with allergies sneezes and their partner goes “He has hayfever, it’s pretty bad today” or something.
Also love how people respond to their partner’s allergies if they are super used to them. Like saying Bless You after every sneeze, but sort of casually or bored or even with a slight hint of exasperation?? And this goes on for multiple weeks each year??!
Yeah, idk. Good shit, good shit. ❤️🔥
Okay okay okay OKAYYYY you guys convinced me. Here’s me, having a crazy allergy attack, in my car, while doing yard work … (1/2- if you like it, there is another vid from the same fit on my page)
Also I am like tinkerbell I need applause to live pls tell me if you got off to my sneezing
Big strong person
+
Big strong effort to suppress a big strong snz
=
Body shaking effort to release *the* most unhelpful little breathy sneeze imaginable
(and me swooning and melting 🫠)
hands
a slender finger poised delicately underneath rapidly-pinkening nostrils - a polite reflex that only makes them more aware of how wide their nostrils are flaring.
a knuckle, pressing insistently up on the underside of a nose in an attempt to quell a fierce tickle that’s been making their eyes water for the last ten minutes.
a palm, rubbing hard and violent against an itchy nose - up, down, side to side, anything to get rid of the annoying itch.
gentle fingertips, massaging the bridge of a nose that’s chapped and sore from a stubborn, lingering cold, giving the swollen mucus membranes some slight relief but in the process shifting some congestion that’s bound to tickle their sensitive nose into yet another sneezing fit.
a fingernail, scritching + tracing circles around a pink, quivering nostril rim, teasing out a sneeze that’s been building for the entire day.
two fingers, pinching a nose as hard as they dare and still only ever managing to half-stifle the sneezes - they’re too strong, too desperately loud, to silence completely.
one finger, held up as a clear warning for an impending fit - as if the glazed eyes, flushed nose and hitching inhales weren’t a clear enough indication for what is to follow.
fit with a stilted, interrupting, frequent cadence that seems like it’s being leaned into to annoy who the person is in non-optional company with, until a while of back and forth reveals how they’re just helplessly along for the ride here
sneezing while browsing through a record store. boxes and boxes of used, dusty vinyl to sift through in a cramped space. all the shuffling through the boxes causes more of that musty, well-loved smell to filter through the air - as well as more dust.
shelves that haven’t been dusted or well-kept in ages harbouring more of that tingly, tickly dust. sneezing could ruin the vinyl sleeves, or worse, cause you to bump into another box and unleash more dust into your already irritated nose.
When someone has a really bad cold or hayfever, and even when they're not sneezing, they look like they're about to. Eyebrows constantly pulling together, eyes narrowed with that vacant look coming and going, pink nostrils flaring/quivering, lips parted, upper lip slightly pulled up, showing a glimpse of teeth... they just look so, so sneezy, even as they go about their day.
And no wonder they look sneezy, their nose and sinuses are prickling and tickling nonstop... sometimes they tip over that tickly threshold and they sneeze. And they sneeze and sneeze. But every time they manage to stop sneezing, they still need to.
😈🥵
you're standing in line at the contagion clinic between a few other healthy people. in a separate line is a sick person who definitely needs more than a couple of tissues. Nose red, streaming, poor person all shivery, shoulders tense and always rubbing at their nose. While you're waiting in line to check in, the sick person gets to the front of their line. A nurse is doing intake behind a plexie glass wall. The poor sickie is answering her questions between hitches, doing their best to what seems like stave off a sneeze that's begging to come out. Eventually their body decides enough is enough and they gasp dramatically and lurch forwards with a harsh wet snz. You watch as mess and spray splatters and drips down on the class at the nurse's face height. More mess is dripping from the sickie's red twitchy nose as they finish with an "ugh excuse bme" and their shoulders slump hard and their face finally slack with relief
A Victorian man writing at his table feeling a tickle in nose nose that won’t go away, so he just used the feather pen he’s writing with to tickle it
people who sneeze in fits: how does it feel to be insanely hot
going absolutely crazy about the thought of a pink, ticklish and affected nose. the nostrils flaring constantly, the itch relentlessly poking inside.
and the character helplessly sneezing, the irritants in their nose stuck and clinging as they wipe and rub all over it.
Obsessed with the idea that stifling, which is meant to retract attention, can bring more of it. Like, aww, pooor baby, what’s the matter? You can’t stop sneezing now? Your eyes are watery? You have to gasp for air in between fits? They keep getting louder and louder and louder? It’s too itchy to stop once you’ve started? I thought you were trying to keep them secret, not let everyone know.
I love the idea of someone spending all day holding back sneezes and when they get home they're finally going to let them out and instead they're tortured with stuck sneezes and false starts
A series of quick, breathy sneezes that barely scratch the surface of the itch, punctuated by a huge, drawn-out sneeze that sounds (and feels) so satisfying.
Now I'm thinking about mr hơưsɛ desperately stifling his allergy sneezes
He'd start off stifling almost completely silently against his fingers, maintaining control and composure at first. However, the persistent tickle would force him to eventually pinch his nose in a desperate attempt to keep from letting out a sneeze. Eventually he'd be left with no choice but to let out a handful of big, muffled, sloppy sneezes into a handkerchief.
