I would like to confess to my crimes: i used ChatGPT today and yesterday to help me figure out tasks for my presentation for school. I feel kinda bad but at the same time I understand the appeal now. Will I keep using it? Fuck no. But it was really helpful to get example tasks and then pick out one that i like and rework another. Especially since its for a subject and a topic i couldnt care less about and that will never be important for the rest of my life.

But, now i do have some slightly complicated feelings for AI. Im still against generative AI and AI „art“, but ChatGPT did save me a lot of time on this. But the impact that these companies have on the earth and the climate are also just way too much. But then again, which company doesn’t have a negative impact on the world? It’s basically impossible to live nowadays without hurting the climate, so i‘m wondering how much me generating a few things could really hurt the environment compared to, idk, any billionaire or company out there.

Anyway i still feel bad for using it even though i vowed to never use it, so yeh

no but you can FORCE it away. use ublock origin and copy paste the blacklist i made into the filters to be able to remove the bullshit AI overview that google forces. it also removes youtube's forced ads (at least until they fix it)

you can also use the ublacklist extension and use this blacklist of AI image generation websites to curate your google image results

there are ALWAYS ways around stuff. it's just a matter of looking into it and asking around
