Sandow to TNA
This is awesome news for all us wrestling fans out there. Sandow is a guy who was so damn entertaining in his run with WWE though it didn’t get him very far. at one point in his Mizdow run he was getting pops arguably bigger then anyone else on the roster. I’m sure TNA will really let him be himself and I personally think he will Excell. Since TNA moved to POP they have been putting out better programming at least from the few episodes I have seen. I surely will be watching tonight and if it’s good TNA may have a new weekly watcher. #Wrestling #TNA #WWE
Why The Ego,Dude?
Yesterday I saw an article on AltPress that described a back and fourth had between Current Bad Religion and former Minor Threat guitarist,Brian Baker and Bring Me The Horizion’s Oliver Sykes and Matt Nicholas. The exchange was over the fact that the band had posted a sign at a festival both bands were playing saying quote:
“These People are not to be stopped ever
They may not have a pass
They can escort who they want where they want with or with out a pass”
In response to that Baker said that he would tell the band they sucked every time he saw them that day. Though he did not follow through with said action BMTH caught wind of the instagram post and responded viciously. They went on to mention how old he is and that he’s still playing under them and how he didn’t say shit to them the handful of times they saw him that day. Baker addressed their comments with a well written response noting that the real issue is the band’s sense of entitlement. Which is the part I take major issue with.
The blanket genres of punk and hardcore were (in my estimation) built on a platform against things like entitlement, bigotry, conforming to way of life that doesn't fit who you are, amongst other things. Now hearing that Bring Me the Horizon, a band that claims to be “hardcore” and has worked so hard playing shithole bars, traveling in a cramped van, playing to half empty venues at times couldn’t just relishes in their successes gracefully. I get that if you get to be a headliner you get “privileges” and that’s cool, you got to that point for some reason or another and now you’re being rewarded for it. But to act like you cant be bother to have a messily pass on you or don’t want to deal with by the security (who for the most part, are their to make sure that the only people getting access to certain areas are ones that belong there and aren't out to harm anyone). God forbid you actually have to have a human interaction with someone who doesn't worship the ground you walk on.
Now on to my next point, why in the world would you ever try to make someone feel inadequate on their spot on a show? I mean really, do I even really have to explain the legacy of Bad Religion right now? They have been a staple in the punk community for almost three decades now, and that fact can help and hurt they're ticket sales. The reason Bring Me The Horizon can sell out theaters now is cause they have gotten major exposure over the past few years and a majority of their fans are between the ages of 15-25, a very young vibrate audience seeking good times whenever they come, Now Bad Religion had that same audience... 20 years ago. As you get older going to punk shows seem like more of a chore then they do in your teens, being bashed around by a bunch sweaty teenagers as people are being tossed around above can get exhausting. You wanna give it energetic reaction you did in your youth bu you just don’t wanna have a sore back for the next three days.
I'm not even saying that as a “diss” to people over 25, I am 25 and i have that reaction now. I can only imagine 10 years from now if my option for an evening is a punk show and a night in with good friends and cold beers, there’s a good shot I might go for the night in for the most part, I know it sounds lame but its the truth, and when you take that harsh truth into consideration its understandable why Bad Religion aren't selling out giant concert halls,
But even beyond the defense of Bad Religion, the point i think that needs to be driven home is that the only thing worse then a “shitty band” is a band with a shitty attitude. Take for instance Sleeping With Sirens, I personally do not enjoy their music at all, if you’re a fan of them I won’t knock ya for it but you’ll just never get me to go to one of their shows with you. But I’ve always heard that their lead singer, Kelin Quinn is a super sweet guy and at a very young age (like 19, 20, not totally sure when) he married his girlfriend and adopted her child and has conceived more children with her not only giving this kid a father but siblings too. If that’s the case then ya know what, I might not be a fan but someone is and I hope you make just enough money to live comfortably and put your kids through college. Good people get nothing but respect from me, simple as that.
But then you have a band like a Attila, who thrive on being “bold and unfiltered” because they “don’t give a fuck,” and I can respect that attitude on a lot of levels but when someone hits you with any kind of criticism and not once ever can you just give a polite intelligent defensive response,. No rather they’d say something like “FUCK YOU FAGGOT”, real poets those guys. In a scene and frankly, market (let’s face it money keeps the lights on) built on youth when you stand for under the umbrella of punk or hardcore there is to me an expectation of how to carry yourself. Granted you’re not gonna be a “good ole boy” or a blue chipper” but you should carry yourself with dignity and humility and be an example to these kids how you can be yourself and still thrive in our cruel world. Rather than being an example of how to be human garbage.

Who Wins The Money in the Bank Briefcase?
For the first time possibly since the inception of the pay per view it’s the most prominent question in my brain. For one simple reason, just like a title, the man should make the Money in the Bank briefcase just as much as the briefcase makes the man... And 5 of the 6 competitors fit the bill to me! Now before I gush all over the place you might notice i said 5 out of 6, well it wasn’t a typo.
Let’s be honest, since his return last October, Alberto Del Rio hasn’t been given any favors. He had a big win over “the” John Cena for the U.S. Title ( but not in the strongest showing) but was stuck strangely with former borderline racist (in character) Zeb Colter. From “I don’t get this” scenario to a “well this wasn't just thrown together” one he gets put in the League of Nations, which amounted to one forgettable world title reign... for Sheamus. Now disbanding from the league he’s just been throwing into this match which winning the briefcase would help push him forward and would force the commentators to remind us that he would then be a TWO Time MITB Winner but what benefit would Alberto bring to the briefcase?
Now moving on to the architect of the match, Y2J deserves to have MITB win as a notch in his belt. Even if you discredit the fact that he came up with the match concept he is 6 Time World Champ, has more Intercontinental title reigns in history and has had legendary matches with almost every big name competitor still wrestling in his era. But he’s never earned a royal rumble win, he’s never been a King of the Ring, he’s never even won a damn elimination chamber! Can’t we just give him one moment in the spotlight as a nod of respect for his contribution to the business? Well it’s not that simple...
A guy that has (to me at least) has finally been making an impact since his return a few months ago is Cesaro. It almost goes without saying that the guy is a good wrestler (to put it simply) but everything hes been put with in the past few weeks has just been money. That new James bond hulking out entrance is perfect to show a new fan right away that Cesaro has brain and brawn and that why you don’t fuck with him. Of course I remember Vince McMahon’s brass ring comments from last year’s Stone Cold Podcast, well else could you want now? His own special dance and slogan? As soon as his music hits the people reacted, he can perform 5 star matches, he’s a winner.
Now there are two competitors that have been going back and fourth for months now and to steal a chant from NXT Takeover: DALLAS, FIGHT FOREVER!!! I love Sami Zayn, I love Kevin Owens, I love Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn. They know each other like the back of their hands and care about putting on a quality match for each fresh live audience, they are two guys that should leave a legacy in WWE (just like they did in Ring of Honor) but they’re feud feels unfinished to me. For that reason alone I kinda don’t want each to win but to have some amazing spots. Mostly against each other. But either would be very buy-able as the briefcase holder and can totally benefit from it if they don’t continue the feud.
But I have to of course mention the final competitor, Vegas’ odds on favorite, Dean Ambrose. Dean has been put the a little bit of a ringer since the demise of the Shield, grants he has been a part of some really great story lines, but is never really the star. Despite having an immediate reaction form the crowd when his music hits, having possibly the best mic skills in the company right now, and an aggressive, exciting old school ring style he has only one IC title reign to his name. He’s main evented multiple PPVs (never winning) in a variety of specialty and championship matches and has worked with almost every main eventer in the company, It’s time guys, Seth had a long standing reign, Roman is now a 3 Time Champ (Seriously.… It’s weird), Dean is too damn good of a talent to be the black sheep of the Shield.
With all that being said if had to pick a winner for my own sake, it’d be Owens. I would write it that he’s screw Zayn out of the briefcase and Dean would find his way into the title picture and he’d be champ going into Wrestlemania. Dreams are nice but if I’m thinking logically I’d go Ambrose.

Who Will Win the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank?
The never beaten, Seth Rollins, gets a chance to take back what was rightfully his, Sunday night, at Money in the Bank. Honestly, who didn’t see this coming? This is a long awaited match-up that was originally scheduled for Survivor Series, until Rollins suffered a knee injury in Dublin during a live event. What interests me most in this match is, “What will the WWE fans do when Roman beats Seth?” It’s almost inevitable. Of course, everyone wants Seth to win, but unfortunately WWE just wants to shove Roman down our throats till we start to actually respect and like him. Personally, I think Roman is a pretty decent performer in and out of the ring. I’m not taking anything away from Seth, just simply saying there is no reason for WWE fans to hate Roman so much. If anyone remembers correctly, Set Rollins was a HUGE heel before he left and I specifically remember WWE fans “BOO-ING” him. So the cliché of hating Roman aside, this match will likely be one of the greats in Money in the Bank history. My guess is, “And still, WWE World Heavyweight Champion, ROMAN REIGNS.”
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks.

Cena vs. Styles
This almost seems too perfect right? I mean on one side we have John Cena who has been the face of WWE for over a decade. On the other we have AJ Styles who has wowed fans wherever he has gone whether it be ROH,TNA,NJPW and now WWE. For many of us this is match we never thought we'd get to see, which WWE isn't letting us forget. They are billing this the best M.I.T.B ever and on paper it lives up to it, this match being key to why this PPV seems so big. We as fans can only hope this dream match is handled correctly and not a repeat of what happened to Kevin Owens last year. He got the big win over Cena in their first matchup but John beat him the next two. AJ Just came off of a feud with Roman Reigns in which we seen Roman beat him clean....twice and that was with assistance from The Club, who apparently can't get involved in this match. Well at least that's what they're leading us to believe. AJ needs to win this feud if WWE wants everyone to believe AJ is the talent they say he is and us former TNA fans know he is, and come on guys I mean is losing to AJ really gonna hurt John. I don't think so. I guess all we can do now is sit back watch the show and hope for the best
