CDD terms and related things where it's just breaking down different types of DID (part of a megapost I'm making but breaking it down into parts for simplicity) DID - having 2 or more distinct parts/identities, and the presence of dissociative amnesia P-DID - full term: partial-did. Described as having a dominant/main part with other parts fronting/"intruding" less often. Not in DSM-V but in the ICD-11 (Medical term). Sometimes viewed as a subset of OSDD 1 on a community scale. Doesn't normally involve amnesia but sometimes can. Sometimes described as "host is always co-con" PF-DID/C-DID - PF: polyfragmented. C: complex. Community prefixes used to denote "severe" cases of DID. Involves having high fragment counts, and several subsystems. Normally has high alter counts in general but not as a requirement. Formed from types of inescapable/daily abuse, commonly forms of RAMCOA (Ritual abuse/mind control/organized abuse). CANNOT APPEND TO OSDD 1. Medical/clinical term = you can get diagnosed with it Community term = you can't get diagnosed with it but people in these communities will likely know what you're talking about

14 year old me was so fucking funny because I learned about DID and thought "wow, I sure do show all of the signs I mean I'm even multiple people but I don't really have childhood trauma, like, my dad was only a little abusive like he only beat me a little bit, and like, those other people aren't really other people they're just really convincing fake identities and I am so good at making false identities that I literally become them. I don't have DID tho"

this is so real except i was 15 and kept saying “okay. so. i don’t have DID. but. i have bpd. and i have bpd “personalities” because like… uh… mood swings? yeah, like there’s one that’s like a total asshole and doesn’t really have any emotions other than anger! then there’s one that’s like super sexual and flirty. then there’s me in little space except i’m literally just a child who doesn’t understand adult concepts. then there’s one where i don’t really know anything about myself or who i am and my identity feels blurred and mixed up like i’m sort of in between different personalities. then there’s—“

and every time someone tried to tell me “that sounds like DID” i’d get really mad and go “NO. i do not have DID. i have friends with DID. i know what DID looks like. i’m basically an expert. i don’t have DID. i don’t even have amnesia!” whilst being able to recall about 3 distinct memories about the past week LMAOOO

we’ve been sussing our partner system on being programmed for a while too and had it confirmed by their primary gatekeeper last week. it’s not particularly a bad thing, because we expected it and we’re very aware of a lot of our personal traits and cues and such, however, they’re completely in the dark about most prog things. their hosts have no idea and their gatekeepers are doing everything in their power to keep it that way until we can see them irl again and be there physically when they get that bomb dropped on them. they had a programmer alter switch yesterday and we dealt with it fine, no harm was done but we did have to essentially force them to switch by cueing another alter to front (as the programmer alter was fully intending on severely harming the body) and we feel disgusting about it despite it being out of pure necessity and their gatekeepers telling us it’s fine + the alter being completely okay with no memory of it happening. this is all really scary. i think it’ll get easier once they know. we hope it will. we hope we can work it out. we hope we can keep them safe from the bad people in our system too. it’s just… a-fucking-lot.

recently had someone add 100+ alters to our simply plural on a totally random night & our primary gatekeeper said he wasn’t aware of a lot of them either so we’re probably a bigger system than we thought. a vast majority of those names are extremely obviously ramcoa influenced as well. so. we’re scared we’re on the edge of finding a whole, fully programmed side system, considering our “front” system doesn’t show extreme signs of prog, specifically in terms of programmer alters. it’s scary as fuck, honestly. we try to make light of it for now but it’s not easy. i feel like our every move and reaction is being watched. we’re walking on eggshells.

Not every pwOSDDID grew up with inexplicable voices in their head or imaginary friends pre-system discovery. It happens to a lot but sometimes someone can be completely left in the dark up until they're presented with the idea of being a system. It's a covert disorder sometimes alters are going to be hidden until it's safe for them to not be and sometimes that means you don't know each other until post system realization

it’s a little but funny hearing from people that my ex isn’t even trying to deprogram and is going into a field that directly influences their programming. like obviously i don’t wish that shit upon anyone but they did reprogram and assess us for years (not sure if it was conscious or not but idc at this point) and consistently lead us to extremely triggering material and used being programmed as an excuse to treat us like fucking shit, so at this point i think it’s valid for me to have a little giggle over how fucking delusional they are. they pretend to be this tough army dude AND a fragile little victim that never did anything wrong ever at the same time & refuse to acknowledge the fact that they are programmer alter heavy, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing always, but it is when you refuse to acknowledge it. welp. hope their new partner is having fun bc i’m not touching that flaming garbage pile with a ten foot pole. not my circus not my monkeys.

it’s so interesting how programming just absolutely FUCKS the order and presentation of a system. like i was so certain we had osdd and there was no possible way we had did because of the immensely frequent co-conciousness that we experience, that caused us to think we don’t experience any dissociative amnesia, because “everyone always knew everything”… like yeah bitch all of the 10 alters you THOUGHT you had knew everything because they were always present to see it. going from that to knowing there are 400+ of us and that we have an insanely large headspace with a town in the mountains that literally has a fucking c/lt operating there… bruh. it’s so fucking wild.
