tangled is so underrated and in fact better than frozen & i’ll fight anyone about it
There is nothing to fight about. This is Truth.
A politician’s job is not “thoughts and prayers.”
A politician’s job is leadership.
A politician’s job is legislative reform.
My dad’s job is thoughts and prayers. He’s a pastor. It’s part of what he’s paid to do.
“Thoughts and prayers” from a politician is nothing but a complete dodge on the basic responsibilities inherent to their job.
Actually, it’s every Christian’s responsibility to pray because that’s what God calls us to do and prayer actually works. There is a reason why people pray, and it’s not an empty one. God is capable of doing great things, and He listens to the prayers of the righteous and faithful. That’s not to say we don’t have other responsibilities as well, but there is nothing wrong with a politician praying over a situation (and perhaps the situation isn’t something he or she has control over or can provide legislation for). The child of a pastor should know this.
@shaelit obviously isn’t a believer.
I think y’all are missing the point
no, you are.
the point is that God is real.
just let that sink in for a bit
Let me be even more explicit for y’all.
My dad is a pastor. He gets paid for his prayers. It’s his job.
My granddad is a pastor. He gets paid for his prayers. It’s his job.
My brother is a pastor. He gets paid for his prayers. It’s his job.
My cousins are missionaries. They get paid for their prayers. It’s his job.
I am a Christian and have been since the age of seven. I work in marketing. I get paid for my output at work. I do not get paid for my prayers. That is not my job.
My elected representative’s job is not prayers. It is not thoughts. It is not fuzzy feelings. He may pray every moment of every day, and I hope he does, but
THAT IS NOT HIS JOB
And if he cannot do his job, then he needs to be replaced by someone who will.
As an introvert, once u find someone that u enjoy spending time with just as much as u like being alone, that’s a big fucking deal
