I absolutely love your post about those who don't disclose their STD/STI status. A month ago, I was diagnosed herpes positive type 2. My giver believes he doesn't have to disclose to those he's hooking up with (how I got it) he says he was molested as a child and has trouble talking about it. He didn't think I would get it. He apologized many times. I'm extremely hurt, I'm not sure what to think. I know he's wrong but he doesn't seem to be sorry. He feels I gave consent to have sex with him.

Consenting to sex does not mean you consent to the possibility of getting an STD if you are unaware your partner knowingly has one.

It’s flat out lying, it’s selfish, it’s taking advantage, it’s putting others health at risk, and it’s fucked up. Plain and fucking simple. I’m not sorry to say that if someone doesn’t disclose, IMO, they’re a sack of shit who are not responsible enough to be having sex in the first place.

Having trauma does not give you a free pass to be shitty to someone and play with their well being. He was selfish, he wanted to get off and didn’t want to think about the possible consequences. His orgasm was more important than your health. Fuck that guy, I’m sorry he did you so downright dirty.

Cut the bitch off, block him, and give him the silent middle finger. If anyone out there is reading this debating on whether you should disclose or not, please be a decent individual. You can’t just go around hurting people, shrug your shoulders, and put the blame on an unconscious party.
