If a woman was forced onto, resulting in her being pregnant, should she still carry the baby? And if she decides to keep it, but is financially unable to care for the baby, is giving them up to an orphanage the best option?

I’m genuinely curious since this aspect is always a possibility.

I believe she should carry the baby, yes. Orphanages don't exist in the US anymore, so the best option if she is financially unable to care for the baby is to place the baby for adoption. There are many times more people waiting for a child to adopt than there are adoptable children in the US. Adoption can be closed (no contact with the child or adoptive parents) or open (ongoing contact with the child and adoptive parents). Kinship caregiving may also be an option if the woman has relatives or friends willing and able to raise the child. Hope that helps!

WIP #25

A Cosette.  Ink pen, Copics and Sharpie marker, liquid ink, and a touch of colored pencil, on bristol paper.  This one gives a good idea of how important a little Photoshop color-boost is for giving Sharpie pieces that extra BLACK black. 

In chronological order:

1.) The almost-finished pencil lineart.

2.) Haven’t yet worked out the colors under the veil yet, and the background isn’t started yet.

3.) The finished piece (the raw scan, not yet color-corrected).
