Starship genuine danger to the people who live here. It's to the point many of the people here when they heard the explosion joked that it was probably another one of Elon's rockets.
This is a horrifying pattern we are becoming numb to, we hear about a planned test launch and brace ourselves for more debris.
Several of Musk's attempts at rockets, especially after the deregulation, have resulted in catastrophic explosions. Want the list? Here are a few!!
December 9th, 2020- Starship serial No. 8, or SN8. Exploded upon landing.
February 2, 2021- Starship SN9. Exploded upon landing.
March 3rd. 2021- Starship SN10. Landed in one piece. Fire at the skirt caused an explosion.
April 20, 2023- Starship. Exploded once more. Debris scattered in Port Isabell.
March 6, 2025- Flight 8. Spun out of control and exploded in a mass of fireballs. Planes had to be grounded due to the mass explosion and the debris are stills scattered in the ocean.
And now we have the most recent and the worse one yet.
June 18-19, 2025- Starship 36 during a GROUND test caused a mass explosion, the looming mushroom cloud causing locals in Cameron to believed they had been bombed.
The loser describes this it as a "rapid unscheduled disassembly" instead of what they are: fiery failures locals have to deal with as a result.
Pretty much everyone locally knows Elon Musk and his negative impact on our home, people who have had the unfortunate curse to have worked with him and the center call it Cultish, 8 members of his staff who spoke out against his behavior and sexual harassment were all fired.
Its a well known fact he hates the people here, and he goes out of his way to find employees who are not from this area and move them down here.
Musk has tried to encourage even more white people to come down to South Texas and live in his "Starship City". An attempt to gentrify and push out local citizens.

i cant reply to the post i just saw about this and i dont want to reblog, but: hyperlexia does not necessarily involve low reading comprehension, that's one possible expression of the cognitive-behavioral status referred to by the term "hyperlexia". and when it does occur, it usually is because someone is 4 years old and reading the new york times completely fluently, could read it aloud even, but naturally cannot define the words contained in the text. many or most people who could be "diagnosed" (it's not really a common, official diagnosis its more a rhetorical-medical idea, especially when talking about kids or adults who are JUST precocious readers without developmental delays, theres no reason to diagnose them with anything) with hyperlexia who are adults have equal or greater reading comprehension than peers in their age and education bracket. hyperlexia has also been identified in completely neurotypical kids who just read early and without formal instruction.
i fit every diagnostic criteria of "hyperlexia" without any* comprehension issues and no language delay, and early language/speech development, probably due to environmental factors (highly theatrical family, involvement in children's theater on stage starting in preschool, reading aloud/being read to daily at home).
big asterisk: i do have one standout comprehension issue and it's related to another feature of autism, over-literal reading of any instructional text. if there are instructions, especially in an ordered list where someone has to do X before Y, if it hasnt been written by the Shakespeare of technical writers I often need to check with several other people to be able to figure out what i am being asked to do, because inference of social norms from context-dependent instructions is a big blind spot.
i still experience this fluency-beyond-systemic-mastery issue in for example english grammar, where (and this is not reflected in my posting because i have intentionally adopted grammatical errors and tense shifts and plural/singular drifts to make my blogging less formal!!! and sometimes just for comedic effect!!) i can tell you that you have used lay/lie, apostrophes, or tenses wrong but have no idea how to refer to those issues using descriptive language. i just innately Feel how to conjugate most verbs and experience a painful electric shock when exposed to Youtube Standard English errors.
interestingly i still cant reliably do who/whom even when thinking about it, i need to work on that one
my big minmaxing cost was to math, i never learned multiplication tables despite intensive drilling with flashcards, and i flunked algebra in high school. interestingly i caught up quite a bit as an adult, it really was literal 'slowness' in that sense. i enjoy math very much but was categorically unable to perform 2-digit arithmetic in my head until my mid-twenties probably
here's a reddit thread of people who were actually diagnosed hyperlexic as kids, and a few like me that were never formally diagnosed but clearly fit the profile. a HUGE number of them end up in professional writing positions, creative, technical, and journalistic. i dont think comprehension issues is even a common factor in adult hyperlexics, which lends support to my supposition that comprehension deficitis is largely noticed as a factor of "4 year olds dont understand a lot of stuff in general" + autism + most typical childrearing environments are not equipped to instruct a kindergartener in adult vocabulary or comprehension anyway, and probably most importantly, the kids who have normal or advanced comprehension and no speech deficits arent going to be referred to special education, they will be instead diagnosed as "gifted" and you know the rest.
was just mulling this over in the context of the idea of special ed because what i meant in my last post is most childrearing environments arent great at teaching reading comprehension, period, but what i just realized is also true is that teaching a 4 year old with a precocious vocabulary and fluency how to access higher reading comprehension, grammar, etymology, and composition is actually a completely different set of educational requirements than educating a freshman college class in the same. so unless the hyperlexic 4 year old is born into a HFA household with a literacy specialization, theyre facing a serious special education need that probably no one around them will be able to meet for at least ten years. the negative effect this must have (and did have, on me, for every relationship with an adult besides my parents) is substantial.
