█ ▌ — A few more parting words and kisses on the cheeks and she was free to go. Sen wore her sunglasses, a barrier in many occasions and a sign to whoever dares to approach her that she is done talking. Her chauffeur was awaiting her at the door, he knew when she would leave, and she was never late. He stood in place, eyes locked on the glass door the woman was walking towards until she stopped in her tracks suddenly and turned slowly to glance behind her.
Sen would’ve pretended she did not know the words were addressed to her if it wasn’t for the familiarity of the voice, a part of her was certain, the other doubted her judgement. “Always a player! Displeasing to look at.” She retorted instinctively as she took off her shades and her features relaxed into a welcoming smile. “What are you doing here?” She did not move from her place, a lady doesn’t go after a man, she lures them in, isn’t that so?
¶ Taegeun faked a frown as he started walking slowly towards the woman, pretending to be hurt by her words. In truth — he knew they meant no ill intention. He knew when she was angry with him and did not want him before her sight, and today that was not the occasion. And if not for his keen senses, then he knew by the welcoming smile she gave him despite what she said.
“A business meeting with Mr. Kang.” he answered the question with a displeasing grimace, showing her that it was not a pleasant meeting at all. He didn’t care if the person he was speaking about would walk right past him, or would be right behind him. He usually made sure to hint the old man about the fact that he did not like how their meetings always turned at the end, and he figured it was about time he said it straight out. But there was no such a thing, and he hoped his female friend would figure out what happened again. “I really need a rehabilitating time with a nice and gorgeous company, so do tell me you can fill in the space? I would be immensely happy.”

█ ▌ — “Good morning ma’am.” The chauffeur smiled as he held the car’s door open for the lady in blue summer dress, and a white hat, holding a pearly clutch purse. “Good morning, Jongwon. How are you today?” She flashed him a smile and he lowered his head slightly, mirroring her smile. “Sorry that I had you have your breakfast earlier and not with the rest of the family.” She added as both settled in their seats. “It’s okay, Ma’am.”
Every Saturday, Sen would not have breakfast with her girls and boys as she had weekly breakfast gatherings with some of her most important customers. For more than half of them, Sen was a major player because of the information she had on many of them, and getting her to sell some of what she knew would help them against each other. It was a game of power that she enjoyed taking part in. If she was asked how entertaining those meeting were, and she answered honestly, she would admit that not having someone to talk about them takes away from the fun.
¶ The air was stifling, dry. Packed. Well, maybe packed was not the right word for air but Taegeun felt like the air was tightly packed, making it hard for him to stand in it, what comes to breath in it. ‘Two years in a coast city made me soft’ he thought to himself, while tugging at the collar of his polo shirt and smiling at the elder before him who seemed perfectly fine. Well, how could he not be fine? He was just suffering from the heat, not heat and a mix of scents. But it was all Taegeun’s own fault. He knew Mr. Kang always tried to match-make him with some of his nieces during business talks, so he always had to endure the honey scent from him and those hopeful, lustful, and awe-like scents from the girls.
The tall male faked a laugh, that seemed all too earnest from the side, and moved in a way that would help him scan his surroundings. The business talk ended some time ago, now he just had to slip out of this situation, before he started planning his own suicide. He prayed he would see someone, or come up with an idea that would excuse him to leave, and of course his prayers were met. For good or worse. ‘Definitely for good!’ the male thought excitedly and quickly stood up from his seat, making some sloppy excuse and leaving the old man and his niece (which he sincerely hoped he would see for last). With quick strides he hurried after the woman in the blue dress he saw walk towards the exit and right before she managed to get in her car he spoke loud enough, so she could hear him, even from the distance he was at. “Always a goddess! Gorgeous and hard to catch a glimpse of!”
× about time
Taegeun was spinning the phone between his fingers, standing before the glass wall that showed the runways with the departing and arriving airplanes. He couldn’t believe that it took him this long to finish the job. It was insane, but he had to know before he started. Taking such a big client had to tell him it will take long, but he also did not expect to find so many faults in the documents for the past ten years. So it took him long, and like it or not, he decided it would be best if he contacted the people of his past life as little as possible. Some none at all, but that was to avoid the feeling of wanting to catch the next plane and leave to the homeland. Now he had to make amends, and work again to earn his spot.
The smell of milk chocolate, mixed with something he knew well, but was not so fond of, took him out of his thoughts and made him look around, spotting a group of three females not so far away from him. He definitely was not in for this, so he just furrowed his eyebrows at her stare and then turned around, heading in the direction of the terminal he was supposed to depart. As he walked he unlocked his phone and re-read the messages from his cousin, giving off a small smile as he was told his new roommate waned to meet him.
( sms: Daehan ) naaaah, I won’t invade on your love nest. I already found a place. ( sms: Daehan ) The house was too big for me alone, anyway!
A female voice soared through the speakers, just as the male was pocketing his phone, and it announced that it was time for him to board the plane. Finally, he was going home.

12th November 2013 - Flying Back
"So, I’ll be your cousin?" the male asked with amusement sipping through his voice, even if his expression didn’t show it one bit. His hand was rested on the armrest of his seat and his head was lying in his palm, eyes traveling to the tall male sitting beside him. Taegeun had flown to get him, giving him all the needed documents and somehow finding a private plane to get them back to Korea, because the terminals were still strictly secured and checked. He still couldn’t believe the mess he had stumbled in out of nowhere, but the tall male was his only exit out of it for now. At least after Renata helped him hide for a few days until everything else was fixed, he really owed the female too much. "And are ya’ out of yer mind? Forgin’ me an economics degree or whatever it is."
"It’s a degree in accounting, Daehan. Please at least remember that.” The werewolf only smiled at the red haired guy next to him and returned to reading his papers. He had to admit he was way too worried when the man next to him didn’t answer his phone for a whole week, not to mention that at one point the device got turned off and all the wrong scenarios had played in his head, one of them coming out to be true at the end. But he had managed to get in contact with the immortal at the end and help him out. One of the pros of washing money was the fact that he knew people who could help him with all that needed to be done. And fast at that. “Don’t worry over it. You will be working for me, so I will teach you all you need to know.” Saying that his eyebrows furrowed at the numbers not adding up to his calculations and the thought of him having to start over if he didn’t find the mistake anytime sooner, caused him to curse under his breath. “Ah!” he then spoke and turned to the male next to him again. “Who was the female with you?”
"Thanks for takin’ me under your wing, hyung." the address he used at the end of his sentence was said more of a joke, than a mock to the actually younger guy, that right now was going to play the role of his mentor. There wasn’t any room for him to argue when the male had previously explained to him the basics of his new identity. He was his relative from his mother’s side, carrying the name of Eun Daehan, supposedly a 26 years old guy who studied in Australia for a few years. He was also going to live with him and work for him, but that, as the taller one explained, was for the werewolf’s convenience. And Xeno complied. For once the idea of having someone around and close that knew how he was and what he was didn’t appear so bad. "The female?" he asked, snorting and turning back to the window. "Just someone I know that happened to be able to help." he cut the conversation at that, adjusting in his seat and closing his eyes. He wasn’t going to talk more on it even if the werewolf asked. Whether he learned more about Renata later on or not, was going to be based only on what the girl would let him learn, if they somehow ended up together long enough to talk about it.
"This sounds way too weird, cous’." the accountant laughed and waved his hand as he saw the male lean back in his seat and close his eyes. The immortal has always been hard to converse with when Taegeun tried to get something more from him, but that was something he had learned to accept and live with. There were still the moments when he would get his trust and learn what he wanted, but apparently this was not one of them.
Letting the topic go, caused something else to catch his attention, firstly the mistake he had apparently made involuntary, and secondly the way the male next to him spoke. “Make sure to drop that accent when we’re at work. I’m speaking as your boss.” He didn’t get any type of reply to that, but he was sure the male had heard him, and wanting or not he was going to make him drop the accent if the older one didn’t comply.
Now all that was left, was for both of them to reach Seoul.
