I have started a new project! I am going to attempt to create an illustrated storybook of The Phantom of the Opera based on the original novel! These are a few of my concepts. I am taking inspiration from the art of Mary Blair. Hopefully, I can actually get this done!

Sometimes I get really introspective about how far I’ve come and how much I’ve grown and I think the coolest and one of the most profound feelings in the world is realizing that the people I looked up to and idolized are now good friends or peers (or both!). No more fanart

I have come to decision regarding my general online art activity.

Moving forward, I will no longer be posting fanart on Tumblr. I will continue to post quick silly doodles on my Instagram, but I’m no longer going to post finished fanart for several reasons.

The biggest reason is I’ve had enough of my art being stolen. The online attitude that if it’s posted, it’s free and you can do whatever you want with it is infuriatingly wrong and unfair to creators. Not gonna give credit where it’s due and support the artists who give you so much entertainment for free? The artists will simply stop. I am choosing to stop.

I WILL continue to post Pocket Princesses here (and on FB) and post about my professional work, as well as my convention information.

I know many people DO appreciate creators and their work. Like I said, I WILL still post Pocket Princesses as long as it’s professionally practical and I’ll keep everyone in the loop when I have new official stuff to announce - there will be a LOT of it coming up next year! And the BEST part is, unlike all the rampant copyright infringement that goes on in the fanart community, everything you buy of mine is fully licensed and branded by the copyright holders! :D So you are supporting the companies that own the characters you love so much.
