I am getting that you might attract people who are already in a relationship or in a long time commitment. And that is also one of the reasons people talk about you. They also talk about you neighborhood two faced and shit-talking about you behind your back. Pile 1 I'm getting that you are very rude with people in general and very nice to the people you love and that is why others say you are two faced. Like you are the complete opposite with the people you love as compared to people you're not close with. People also talk about how they can always ask for your help or advice if they even need it. Like you are willing to always help them. They are willing to trust anything you say. Planetary squares

Many people are always talking about “cosmic witchcraft” or “lunar magic” so I am going to give an overview on what planetary squares are.

Planetary squares are used heavily in all forms of magick, especially the creations of talismans, in spirit work, and all aspects of ceremonial witchcraft.  Each of the seven classical planets has a square these seven planets are of course Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, and the Moon.   (you can find the magick squares at the end of this lecture as well) The actual squares come from the magickal system the Kabbalah(notice the spelling is different from the Qabalah because in more modern western occultism as they are different system in many aspects).   So, for example Saturn is a planetary symbol of the Binah, the third Sephirah on the Kabbalah Tree of Life.  This the square has three compartments each way (vertically and horizontality), each section (sub-division) is a number in the square (math time 3 time three is 9), so all numbers from one to nine are arranged in a way that each column will add up to 15, and the three columns will add up to 45.  (Saturn is also the smallest square)

I am not going to explain more on each planet squares, separately as one can find them online and one does not need to make squares as they are already made for the magi, since this is an ancient system of magick, and especially since you can find any information of this from most Golden Dawn books.   Now I am sure all of you are wondering what you can do with these and are wondering what these numbers mean.  Traditionally one would use Hebrew numerology for these squares, I personally already dislike using the Kabbalah, so I use the western system of numerology, the Pythagorean system (you may remember the dude from algebra and fun math problems with triangles).   As one can see each letter can be reduced to a number with this system, it is those letters and numbers which you will use with the planetary squares. (notice the * on K and V, these are “master letters” and should not be reduced if possible) Usually in this system of numerology the vowels are separated from the consonants, but for sigil-making you do not use this custom.   Now I will show everyone how this works. Let’s take the name “Gavin” first we must match it up to the numbers in the chart above.  Which is simple enough G a v i n 7 1 4 9 5 Now since we are making a sigil l from this name we would keep the vowels in the name.   Next what would one want to do with this name?  What is the intent?  Let us say that Gavin needs to be aggressive and war like for the big ruby game coming up, for this we will use the square of Mars.   Here is the Square of Mars representing the fifth Sephirah of Geburah. Each side has 5 units for a total of 25 squares with each line both sideways and up and down counting 65, the total being 325.

Now this is only one way to do this type of sigil/square.  The Pythagorean system is one way, but since the numbers only go up to 9, it is not a good system to use when you are doing the bigger squares with numbers higher then 9, even a simple square like Mars is a good example above.  If one used a larger phrase than just the name “Gavin” they could not put it on the square without it looking like gibberish because of all the repeating numbers.  Because of this most people use this system of numbers. Since this is a easy lesson I am going to stop it here I am going to list the 7 classical planets’ charts below.

Birth- Hermes was born from his mother Maia, the goddess of the fields, and his Father Zeus, he hid in a cave with his mother in Mt. Cyllene in Arcadia, the same day he was born (or when he was a toddler), he ran away while his mother was out, he stole cattle and turned their feet backwards, to 'trick' Apollo, he went back to the cave and made a fire and sacrificed 2 cows to catch the gods attention and ate 1 and hid the rest, outside after he ate he saw a  tortoise feeding and cleaned it out and made strings together from a cow he ate, and made a lyre and a plectrum, and Apollo found him, furious he took him to his father and he denied everything and zeus found it hilarious, and he had to head back to the place where he hid the cattle, on the way he played the lyre, Apollo was enamored by it and asked for it and in return he would be his best friend and forgive him, and while helping Apollo tend to the cattle he made pan pipes, which Apollo made him a deal for his iconic golden snake staff and the skill of phropecy by using pebbles.

Killing Argos- Zeus had a lover Io, Who he was laying with in a field, Hera saw and strolled over, he struck in panic turned her into a cow, and Hera came over and demanded it as a gift, and zeus obliged, zeus in a panic asked Hermes to slay it, Hermes went to the cane where the all-seeing giant was, he lured him to sleep with a song, and when he was asleep, he slashed all his eyes and killed him, and took the cow, and in grief Hera turned the giant into a peacock to save the memory and to honor the giant. that's the myth where he gained the title 'Argos slayer'

Aphroditos, the Trans Aphrodite worshipped widely in Amathus and Athens.

This particular pose, where a feminine deity lifts up their skirt or dress to reveal a phallus, is called the Anasyrma or Anasyromenos and was widely regarded as an apotropaic gesture, averting evil influences and bringing forth good fortune.

"There's also a statue of Venus on Cyprus, that's bearded, shaped and dressed like a woman, with scepter and male genitals, and they conceive her as both male and female. Aristophanes calls her Aphroditus, and Laevius says: Worshiping, then, the nurturing god Venus, whether she is male or female, just as the Moon is a nurturing goddess. This combination of masculinity and femininity in the same Deity and their assocition with the moon, both of which were considered to have fertilizing powers, was regarded as having an influence over the entire animal and vegetable creation.

A Note on Priesthood

So mini semi-rant time: you’re definitely not a priest or an expert if you’re actively a teenager in high school. That’s just not how any of this works, regardless of how many years you’ve worshipped a deity or practiced magic or polytheism. Priesthood is an actual thing that requires maturity, life experience, and gives you a leadership role in a community that someone who’s in high school, or even college, absolutely shouldn’t be taking on. Having followers on tik tok or tumblr does not make one a priest and to spread misinformation like that can be harmful for people who are new to their spiritual paths. Furthermore, claims of spirit initiations into priesthood is tricky and ultimately gives me some red-flags. I definitely thought that happened to me when I was that age and it was really just me projecting what I thought of myself and what I wanted onto my experiences and onto the divine itself.

I think issues like this illustrate a huge problem social media and echo chambers creates (not being a fogey and being like “social media bad” here). There’s this hubris that comes with this positive feedback from the internet that makes people feel qualified to speak on things or in ways that they actually aren’t and shouldn’t have to be. I think it’s important to accept inexperience, because I’m there myself, and to just slow down. I know it sounds condescending and rude but I promise you that you are not going to be doing things the same way in a few years if you’re an adolescent now, just as I’m sure I will not be practicing the same in a few years. The most important lesson that I am coming to learn is how to balance the belief in my personal power and qualifications with my humility and accepting that I don’t know as much as I think I do. I have been at that place of self-assuredness, thinking that I know everything and that I know better than everyone. In time that will begin to pass. What’s unfortunate is that this era of our lives is now often preserved on the internet.

I know this is ranty and perhaps will be taken the wrong way, but I just think it’s important that, as someone who has been there, I share that this is definitely something that should be worked on and worked past. I’ve been studying magic for about 12 years now and have been oath-bound to Hekate for about 6 years, and I’m still growing and shifting within my practice and will continue to do so. And while I would love to just call myself a priest because of the effort I’ve put in and the time I’ve spent learning, that’s unfortunately not how things work, and there’s reasons for that. Priesthood is not just about knowledge, power, or experience. It’s about wisdom, and community leadership both spiritually and personally, and isn’t something someone can just take on without qualifications. And that’s good and okay. Someone my age or younger usually has difficulty managing our own problems, let alone the problems of those who would seek guidance from a priest. I think we really need to get comfortable as an online community working towards humility and accepting our inexperience. Because I guarantee that we are all sometimes getting those “Hey! Slow down” signs like a flashing Knight of Swords, and are just overlooking them because it’s easier to do that than admit we don’t know something or aren’t ready for something. But being humble is actually a really great practice and will help all of us grow significantly in the long term. Anyways, this is really just a message I wish someone would have delivered to me in my adolescence and I hope it resonates with people.
