give me a prompt (or seven) and i'll (try) and make a short story since i'm bored and cant stop this wanting-to-create feeling. but like, idk what
Myra
Humanoid artist(distant offspring of human/seer species; empathic ancestor also suspected but cannot be confirmed)
Appears to be human, however she smells different (almost ‘too sweet’), extremely pale skin, sometimes has prophetic dreams, fresh blood is bio-luminescent and extremely nutritious
Failed experiment for genetic selection, Myra was born and raised by several different alien Scientist factions throughout her life,
Used as social/situational ‘lab rat’ in early life
After several experiments went ‘sideways’ (read: dangerous), Myra was forcibly retired from experimentation at age 25
Unbeknownst to Scientists, Myra was and is still incredibly attentive to and manipulative of emotions of anyone she meets, often taking only an hour or so to study and read new beings body language, after which she is able to make predominantly accurate assumptions on mood, thoughts, motives, and even future reactions in very few interactions
Lives on a permanent sub station, a common stop for space-fairing beings traveling between the Old Sol System and The Ursa Major III System
Lives in a small, but warm, permanent living unit (P.L.U.) by herself where she practices the art-craft of sculpture
Occasionally consults with low-level advisors/dignitaries part-time for supplemental income, regarding such things as body language interpretation and some light Oracle duties, both by appointment only
Tobin
Humanoid, barely (prehensile tail, eyes like a goat, dark gray skin, prefers crouching on tall surfaces rather than sitting/standing ‘properly’, spider-like grip on hands/feet, angular form)
High body temperature, wears few clothing articles outside of current socially acceptable norms to compensate
‘Jack-of-all-trades’ (has been a mercenary, ship captain/crew member, manual laborer, scientist, agriculturalist, etc)
Doesn’t like being the center of attention, prefers to work/be behind the scenes
Gives most humans/humanoids ‘uncanny valley’ feelings regarding body proportions
Stands either dead still or is constantly moving around, depending on how much attention he thinks the current situation requires
Extremely observant, to the point where he overthinks insignificant movements/behaviors (twitches, tilts of the head, voice inflection differences, etc, which causes some low levels of awkwardness and slight distrust/resentment between him and those under his command)
