@crazy-orangecatlady55
I keep on seeing this one post floating around talking about how becoming a radfem made them miserable and I wanna be nice but... take the L ladies. Life's so much better when I can put a name to misogyny. Or cutting ties with porn supporting male friends. I'm more will I need to call out things that make me uncomfortable, I'm actually excersising(mostly because the prospect of endometriosis has put the fear of god into me), I'm generally more extroverted... I'd need a control group to prove my theory but being able to call out misogyny just makes everything in life better. The only thing I've lost from being outspokenely a radical feminist is one or two male friends and like... is that even a great lost? Feeling worse just seems like a skill issue here.
True, sry just want to add my perspective
Honestly it isn't the knowledge or perspective I gain from radical feminism that makes me sad or miserable, it the fact I can't do anything. It's the fact that reading everything that has been done to women, it just makes you feel so upset because how can men do that, how are they so cruel, how can you trust any man in your life after learning about every aspect of misogyny, and then I start blaming biology because if women weren't physically weaker this wouldn't have happened. Just centuries and centuries of physical, mental and medical torture, it isn't just the knowledge, it's the realisation that it never stopped, the torture never stopped til this day there are women who have to cover every inch of their body because women are blamed for men looking at us, women's genitals are cutt off as babies or children while they are wide awake and screaming just because it's considered wrong and dirty for women to experience pleasure, women are denied pain meds while a baby is literally ripping her body apart, womens v*ginas are cut during labour just because men thought natural tears are too rugged, women are given an extra stitch after giving birth so they'll be tighter for their husbands, women are denied education and married off as kids or teenagers, women are beaten and raped by their husbands, forced to stay at home and forced to keep on birthing kids til it eventually kills is, and so so many more horrifying things are done to women daily.
It's the fact that there is no end to this torture that is what makes me miserable. And if I wasn't aware about this perspective i would most likely end up the same way other women have, married to a man being his personal maid and child factory.
You can do something though
I'm still living with my family and i don't have enough time because I'm studying, so i can't go out and help out at rape shelters. But i have friends you have tried to convince their families to let them study and nothing ever happens, I'm not a country where there is really anything you can actually do because no one here wants to listen. But the things I've written in the above post there is no change you can bring on your own.
obedience is expected from women
And disobedience is punishmed
Obedience is rewarded from men
And disobedience is expected
I get to see this everyday anytime a man does something hes supposed to do like a man doing the laundry or taking care of his child it's rewarded so much in society and if a man is neglectful towards his children, if he weaponises incompetence then it's expected it's seen as the norm. Meanwhile women are expected to do everything from childcare to house chores, we're expected to clean up after men and if we don't were punished by it either by society or by our families, she's too much of a feminist for not having kids, or she slept her way to the top because a woman dared to get a higher position. And it's there in our language and in everyday talks and the way women are spoken about, its like we're constantly expected to be mens personal slave and any deviance is punished.
The older I get, the bigger my disdain for religion grows.
I just don’t understand how generally intelligent and good people believe in those ideas. I mean yes it’s good to promote loving one another and sharing community, but then your religious texts have multiple examples of your god murdering, destroying and preaching hate to women, non-virgins, homosexuals, non-believers etc etc. Especially Abrahamic religions which are very clear on their views on women: How can you think for even a second that an ideology which oppresses and undermines half of the global population could be compatible with society?
The more you look into it you can’t help but see it for the burden on society it truly is and how much it is holding us back from real progression and modernity.
the worst part is that they're so brainwashed you can't even tell them you don't follow the religion otherwise your going to hell according to them, islam literally kills ex muslims through sharia law and muslims have the audacity to defend it.

Put your hands on me, I am lust
I poem i made called put your hands on me i am lust.
I don't have a body, i have sin
I don't have clothes, i have shame
I don't have a soul, i have blame
I don't have a voice, I have lust
I am not a person, I am dust
I am not a child, I am not a being
I am not a thing, I am not a saying,
I am blame, I am shame,
I am a curse, I am vain,
I am nothing but pain
i hate muslims
Islam is probably the only religion where people who literally know absolutely nothing about the religion will tell you that you don't know the religion even if you know more about it than them. I am so bloody sick of muslims commenting on my posts that "🤓 um actually you know nothing about islam and everything you are saying wrong and you have no rights to complain about a religion that kills ex muslims", it doesn't matter if i provide sources are not because all of them are "misinterpreted" nothing is enough for them. Genuinely muslims are the most brain dead people possible.
I can't believe they let you out of jail
right because women who have opinions about a religion that oppresses them deserve to go to jail, amazing what wonderfully modern misogyny you display, don't worry islam already thought of that just for you it's called blasphemy laws where sharia can legally kill you because you dared speak bad about islam.
oh look it's "i discuss the intricacies of lesbian attraction to combat lesbophobia and the oppressive nature of censorship surrounding female homosexuality that exacerbates lesbian erasure" time
the difference in smell between women and men is night and day for me. idk if its pheromones or chemicals or whatever the fuck, but it's the first thing i notice when i get close to someone.
i've never met a (hygienic) woman who didn't have a pleasant natural smell. it's unique to every woman, but it's almost... comforting? heady and earthy, in the way a post-rain forest is. and even with women i'm not attracted to, they still don't smell bad, ya know?
men, however, smell like dogshit. every single man i have ever met, no matter how good his hygeine is, has the most repulsive underlying scent that it's immediately noticeable to me. it's like this overwhelming musty mildew funk that my brain sounds the alarm at.
it's been like this since i was little, and is probably why i never caved to the pressure from my family to date boys. a few years ago, i had a fling with my trans man friend that lasted maybe a month because the T gave him that same musty ass smell and i genuinely could not tolerate getting close to him. i felt so bad about it 😭
in conclusion: i think my lesbian biology makes everything about men utterly repulsive + autism has made me very sensitive to how people smell, and i cannot tolerate Man Musk.
something something, the lesbian sexual orientation requires every aspect of female biology to be present for attraction to occur. stop simplifying my attraction down to female genitalia to justify your lesbophobia, etc etc.
There's just something about being a woman that breaks every part of me
As a Muslim I wasn't allowed to raise my pants that go down to my ankles, a little below my knees because as i woman i have to cover every inch of my body, i remember crying when that was explained to me I was 13.
When I went to a store with my sister she told me to stop stretching my arms, even though every inch of my body was already covered.
At home when I was sitting on the couch and my pant ride up a bit my mom would come and pull it down to cover my legs.
At home i have to wear clothes bigger than my actual size and even then my mom will tell me to wear a dupatta because my body will cause lustful thoughts in my own brother and father.
I can't go out at night and I watch my younger brother stay out all night.
In school majority of 16 year old girls were engaged and weren't allowed to study further nor were they allowed to even leave the house if it wasn't for school.
At home my younger brother would steal any snacks I would get and I'd just be told it's just food, if he'd insult me I'd be told don't get angry he's just trying to get a rise out of you.
If i complain about a certain treatment from my mom she'll tell me that atleast I don't lock you up at home like your friends as if giving me human rights is too much for her.
When I complain about women's treatment to a male family member I'll be told we'll you don't go through it.
And then learning about the centuries of torture women go through, I don't want to be alive in such a world.
Males think that oppressing women is a human right. No matter how oppressed a man is, he will always seek to oppress women in the same position as him. Their entitlement to oppress women is considered a given, and when they feel injustice at being poor, a large part of it is that they feel injustice at the fact that they can't oppress rich women as much as they oppress other poor women.
Men don't measure class by wealth, or race, or country, they measure it by how many women they are given the opportunity to oppress.

It's kind of fucked up how religious men view women as temptation. As something to be avoided in the same way that partaking too much in alcohol is to be avoided. Women aren't people, they're something put here to test the morality of men and bait them into evil. Men fully believe that the apple Eve ate was passed down in each woman's stomach, and their job, as men, is to correct Adam's mistake by not taking a bite of the apple that's being "offered" to them.
It always pissed me off as a kid listening to religious lectures in the masjid where “women” were listed as just a sin. They would never say “sex” or “fornication”, just women.
“Brothers! Stay on the right path! Don’t be lead astray by temptations like alcohol, drugs, money, fast cars, women…”
Women?? That’s your mother, your sister, your wife. And that’s all you reduced her to. Just another sin.
I’d always look around at everyone else in the women’s section (which was always shittier than the men’s and full of screaming babies) and think, “Are yall hearin this shit? Why are we even here?” 🤨
women in my temple have to sit behind the men. we are not allowed to touch the feet of any religious leader because we tempt them. these religious leaders are barred from communicating with any women (including family) they don't even talk or acknowledge women. it's insane.
any radfems with bipolar disorder out here?
Having bipolar disorder really fucks up your world view and life, and misogyny makes it so much worse and when I talk about the misogyny i get told im being a man hating feminist because women are wrong to hate men that have killed, tortured and murdered us for centuries. It's hard being able to talk to anyone about my experience plus I'm an ex muslim which makes it doubly hard. If your a radfem or an ex muslim and are interested id love to be friends.
i hate being a Muslim woman
It's so disgusting when I was talking about how women face injustice i was told it's like i face any and i was just so stunned me who can't even decide what I can put on my own body because of islam, me who can't travel alone far distance, me who can't go out at night and has to come home early, me who was forced to help in the kitchen while my brother didn't have to do anything and me who fears being raped everytime I leave the house. I don't experience injustice that's what my own family thinks, men are so fucking privileged they think just because your a little well to do that you don't fucking experience misogyny, i would cry for so long feel so fucking jealous because i could never experience what my brother's get to, i could never get their freedom and now I'm fucking told i don't experience injustice. I hate men.
i will never understand people who choose to have children
Women who themselves are constantly scared of rape, women who have constantly faced misogyny and you want to tell me after experiencing that hell you want someone else to experience it to. And if you talk about the economy, or injustice or inequality or anything the answer is well people who see all the injustice will want to change it and if people are capable enough they can get a job or if I raise my child well they won't be depressed which is such bullshit your telling me everyday that you hear about poverty or rape or child marriage you think oh I can just change it make the world all rainbows and colours. Your telling me you think you deserve to have kids and you don't care if the world is fucked because raising your child well will make them not depressed, do you people live on cloud fucking nine there is so much shit that's happening and people have been trying to change it for centuries and we still haven't been able to do what makes you think your child is going to end world hunger or misogyny. Every person that wants and has children is selfish you want to experience raising a child and you don't fucking care if the world is good enough to bring another human being into it.
Men will never understand
When I tell a man about the statistics of women's life becoming shorter after marriage and even after you explain that women work more take care of the house, children, mental and emotional load the answer you get is well what job is the man working what if he's in construction and his wife is a housewife with no kids which even then women have in laws to take care of, they have to make all the meals and clean and most of the times also work. If you tell them about inequality women face or the history of misogyny it's well it's different now and how do you experience any of that which I do experience that everytime I step out there is fear of rape, i can out stay out late or go out at night, i cannot travel alone, i cannot live alone and even fucking choose what clothes go on my body because hijab is compulsory. Men will never understand anything women go through they don't care to them they have all the freedom therefore women go through nothing and have no right to complain.
