hellooo all

little introduction post:

- i’m max 🔥

- i’ve been obsessed with kotlc for years now unfortunately (no casual interests we hyperfixate like men). have only really been involved with the fandom on instagram until now though

- my favorite kotlc character is fintan. if you follow me on ig you already know this because he is literally all i talk about. kotlc instagram’s #1 fintan stan. so yeah you will definitely be seeing him a lot. i’m so mentally ill about this fictional asshole. i have more headcanons than shannon messenger does.

- also just gonna get this out there i think keefe is overrated. so don’t expect me to draw him often (sorry </3)

- second fav character is marella! we love our pyrokinetics

- i’m mostly a digital artist (though i do my sketches on paper usually), but i do traditional art occasionally too!

The concept of Sophie's Infliction working exactly like Fitz's 'anger issues' in that she has to bottle up her frustration and anger until a point where she can physically externalise it in an explosive way, the only distinction being that Sophie is able to solely direct it at people who 'deserve' it because her explosions are tied to an ability that forces her to teach herself emotional regulation and make her explosions seem justified and put to good use while Fitz don't have that: oh, let me scratch it for you.

trying to write another noxflare-related scene for my fic rn and it’s bugging me how in stellarlune fintan described them as taking five hundred years to bloom, after soaking up the light from their two hundredth blue moon.

like what does that even mean in this context. hello???? like. does the actual light itself appear blue?? because that doesn’t seem like something you would use to measure the growth cycle of a plant considering the fact that that would only happen under certain atmospheric conditions (most commonly smoke, but since this is fintan we’re talking about he could have very easily started a forest fire or something to make the moon appear blue during EVERY full moon, which wouldn’t take 500 years)

the 500:200 ratio suggests that shannon means the calendrical definition of a blue moon (the second full moon in a calendar month) which also makes absolutely no sense because: 1) why would elves use the same calendar system as humans, 2) even if they did, the creation of the noxflares would date back way before the gregorian calendar was established, 3) a full moon being considered the second of the month is entirely dependent on how we as a society structure our time and dates, which is something a flower would not gaf about. a full moon could occur on the first or second of the next month and the flower wouldn’t know that it wasn’t the same month as the one the first full moon occurred in. so it wouldn’t have any impact on whatever magical light it thinks it’s absorbing (the most logical conclusion here would be that oh, well obviously the actual date that the moon is full doesn’t matter; it’s not like the light itself is any different; it’s just a way of saying that the flowers take this much time to absorb all the light they need to bloom. but that unfortunately brings us back to points 1 and 2!!! and why doesn’t light directly from the sun count??)

there’s also the possibility that a blue moon means something completely different to elves, and is actually some sort of unheard of astronomical phenomenon similar to the aligning of the five unmapped stars (and the appearance of the secret sixth unmapped star (that happens to glow green for some reason)) (aka nightfall)
