The fashion industry has a bit of a reputation for catty behavior, starving women, and the pretentious opinion that material possessions exceed intellectual depth. Yet, back in 2009, when R. J. Cutler’s documentary, The September Issue, tracked the inner workings of Vogue's 840-page September 2007 issue (the largest monthly of any American magazine at the time), fans were ignited to a different side of the industry. The answer was not the focus of the film, Vogue’s Editor in Chief Anna Wintour, but instead the feisty, lion-maned redhead creative director Grace Coddington, whose spit fire opinions and brashly direct outlook can be found in her new book, Grace: A Memoir.
