The Legend of Vox Machina Season 2: From Table to TV
I fucking love these dragon designs. They are all so different, they’re beautiful
The Frigid Doom, Vorugal
The Hope Devourer, Umbrasyl
The Diseased Deceiver, Raishan
The Cinder King, Thordak
Recently finished artwork of Percy and Vex a little angst won't hurt anybody ❤️ It's not the best art but I swear I tried
Vox Machina Origins (2020)
Oh yeah, the Glintshore fight may actually ruin me.
Bonus: Close-up of this one specific panel that has me by the throat, because apparently they wanted to instil as much pain as possible and now I’m crying.
YOU’VE BEEN A GOOD DAUGHTER??!?!?!? ‘what would you ask in return’ ONLY WHAT YOU WANT TO GIVE saundor is going for the throat he is PLAYING BALL
the SELF-WORTH issues the TRUST ISSUES SHE WANTS SO BADLY TO BE LOVED FUCK
also NOTICE HOW HE APPROACHES THIS DIFFERENTLY TO PERCY
and THATS where he fucks up because
ft bonus Percy ‘wow she makes that strength of seven WORK. wonder who she means. lucky guy or gal‘
On Perc'ahlia and Broken Things
Something I think is overlooked when discussing the Raven Queen's conversation with Percy is that after she tells him he was "always broken", she says this:
All life is inherently broken from the start, Percival. Take solace in that. There is no perfection in life. Otherwise, what would be the purpose of death? It's to try to find ways to better yourself before the end that gives us purpose. You are all broken, but also understand—Mortals can achieve great things. I did.
The Raven Queen's point to Percy isn't really that he, uniquely, is broken. She starts out that way, yes (which one could argue is tactless, although one could also argue that the Lawful Neutral goddess of death and fate probably won't be terribly tactful by nature). The Raven Queen's point to Percy is that he is broken because the world is broken, because everyone is broken, and that deeds make or break whether or not they will be fixed.
(She also reminds him, the second after she tells him he was always broken, that he was also preyed upon. And her tone and personality—again, Lawful Neutral death goddess—both suggest that she isn't showing him pity. She's simply telling the truth as she sees it from as objective a standpoint as she can. And there's quite a bit of truth in her words, whether or not Percy or the audience take them as they're meant.)
I've seen the line "You were always broken, Percival" juxtaposed with "Sweet, broken Vex'ahlia", in contexts suggesting that they're equivalent, and I just don't think they could be more different. The Raven Queen isn't trying to prey on Percy the way Saundor tries to prey on Vex. She isn't trying to chip away at his insecurities and use him to make herself feel better. She's simply giving him her honest assessment and a look into her perspective.
I do think, however, that comparing the two quotes can be an interesting look at what brokenness means to both of them. For Percy, who likes to fix things, brokenness is a challenge to be overcome. It's a jammed gun during battle or a blacksmith's missing hand or a friend who needs a place to worship. It's realizing the commitment of a grave wrong and spending a lifetime in atonement. But for Vex, who wants to belong, brokenness is an inescapable mire. It's a father's coldness or an empty coin purse or ears that never looked "like they should". It's putting up wall after wall after wall to ensure that the cracks never show again.
It's just interesting, to me, that someone who deeply fears their brokenness would be drawn to someone who almost excessively accepts their own.

Gosh, so excited for what awaits the campaign and characters next, since there are a lot of arcs and theories that have some sense and may come together. We'll see! ^^
I am in your hands. And I am no longer afraid.
I am happy with the changes they made between CR1E34 and TLOVM ep12 BUT new fans don’t know it was originally Vex who got fucked up by Delilah, not Keyleth, and that Percy nearly broke his damn ankles racing to help save her, even sort of forgetting about Delilah for a while
Critical Role had the right idea about revenge when Percy forgave the last person on his list–not for her, but for himself–and accepted that he’s come as far as he can on this journey (and setting the foundation for him healing after) but then having his friends fucking EVISCERATE her in revenge for Percy.
My heart is someone else’s…

RISE OF THE CHROMA CONCLAVE (2x01) - PART 1
okay so i saw someone point this out and now i can’t find the original post about it but i am losing my entire mind over how the “golden string of fate” or whatever you may call it in the tlovm intro passes over everyone and they all lift their heads to look at it except for vax!!!! i can’t believe i’ve never noticed this before i’m going to be so unwell over it every time i watch the intro from here on out.
Alternatively, Vax'ildan is the one holding the string of fate together. See how the intro begins with a raven flying over Emon.
Then there's a golden light that begins to sort of wrap around the raven's wings and tail until the raven bursts into a white ball of light. And from that ball of light, golden strings come off.
These golden strings then shoot across Exandria. And notice how there's very specifically seven of them.
And because of Matt's description in episode 115 that says: "There's just one raven. Flies down, lands on your shoulder. It's a bigger raven than any you've seen before. You've not seen this raven around. And every day that raven comes to visit." we know that Vax can either take the form of a raven, or at the very least, use a raven as a way to manifest himself into the Prime Material Plane.
So I'm choosing to believe that it's not that the string of fate doesn't touch him or avoids him. He is the string of fate that will forever connect Vox Machina.
A completion of my favourite Perc’ahlia lines because I’m such a sucker for them:
“She is my heart and my judgement and the future that I have chosen.” (Percy)
“Darling, take the mask off.” (Vex)
“Every time I thought I would sink, I would see your face- your face, the first time I truly lost control, and you told me to take off the mask.“ (Percy)
“You’re a good person and you’re not broken anymore. All right? We’re filling each other’s gaps. We’ll be the glue.“ (Vex)
“Never forget you’re my favourite.” (Percy)
“I’ve known a lot of people with money, and they are definitely not worth you.” (Percy)
“Nice shootin’, stud.” (Vex)
“You’ll have to amend that one name, just to be fair. It’s Lady Vex’ahlia. Lady Vex’ahlia, Baroness of the Third House of Whitestone and Grand Mistress of the Grey Hunt.” (Percy)
“My heart is someone else’s.” (Vex)
“I should have told you: it’s yours.” (Vex)
“There was a hole in my heart, and I truly believe the only reason I didn’t perish from it was because you were holding my heart so tightly. I thank the gods I gave it to you. It is yours, forever and always.“ (Vex)
“I’m just screaming to the world.” (Percy)
“I just scream, I scream.” (Vex)
“I need you here now, I need you here.” (Percy)
“You still have a little blood behind your ear.” (Vex)
“But I don’t want to be here if you’re not. Whitestone still needs you, darling. I still need you here.“ (Vex)
“You’re far too wonderful for an idiot.“ (Percy)
“He’s married, to me, and I will cut you.” (Vex)
“You have given me a future I had cheaply sold away.“ (Percy)
“You allowed me to be a part of the thing that you hold dearest. And I was so proud.“ (Vex)
“Vex, I heard you. It was the only thing I heard.” (Percy)
“Were you going to fight the Raven Queen for me?” (Vex)
“I promise to walk into the future with you. I promise to build a family with you. And I promise to always be here for an adventure with you.“ (Percy)
“Right. That went well.”
