It is interesting to talk about, I agree.

I am not sure, because one could argue that going back in time has already been factored in the equation and so you really can't change anything if you tried. Or you could change things like you suggested. There are a lot of possibilities.

…Hm. You’re right, but who is the say that it has to be that way? Say we did travel ten years into the future, do you not think that, when we returned with the knowledge and go about every day life normally, that the future would be exactly how we had seen it even when the ten years pass? Of course, for now we can only wonder… There are countless books and films about it. For all we know, all of them could be wrong, or even right…

I don't know if we would be able to return if we got knowledge of the future but if we did and spent time preparing for it, that in theory could change the events of the future. I think it might be something like the butterfly effect? You are right though, we have no way of really knowing...

[smiles and nods] Finding out the truth about some theories, for example, how some nations came to be. And if we went to the future it would be easier to become mentally prepared for whatever is awaiting us.

It would be great to find out those things... and I don't know about the future, who is to say that future would be set in stone? Any small change could change the flow of time and you would be preparing for nothing possibly.

It really would. I don't know about traveling to the future but going to the past really would be intriguing. Imagine learning about things that have been lost to time or seeing things as they were first built instead of how they look now.
