A fic about Luna after returning from the moon!
Luna followed her older sister into cantorlot castle. She looked around in awe, having never been here before.
“This is much larger then the castle of the two sisters…” she commented.
Celastia smiled, looking back at Luna. “Well, there’s much more to do.”
Luna continued looking around in awe. That was until she saw a stained glass window of nightmare moon. Oh how she hated it.
Celastia felt the drop in tone, she glanced down at Luna once again.
“Sister? Are you alright?”
Luna shook out of her thoughts.
Celastia sighed. “Maybe 1000 years on the moon did more damage than I thought.”
Luna didn’t respond. In her head all that ran through her thoughts was how lonely she’d been, how it all only happened because she wanted to be loved.
Was she banished because Celastia didn’t want her to be loved like her?
She was pulled from her thoughts by Celastia bending down to her. “Sister, what’s bothering you?”
Luna couldn’t answer, she didn’t have to words, at least not in a way she could out to her sister.
Celastia sighed. “You must be exhausted, oh goodness and starving! It’s been 1000 years since you’ve eaten, let’s get you some food.”
Celastia rose, starting a walk towards the kitchen.
Luna blinked, her brain a mess. Celastia was supposed to hate her… right? Well… she’d never been mean spirited but, Luna was Luna! Temperamental, loud, nightmare moon…
Lunas last memory of Celastia before the moon was a fight.
Once again, Luna is startled out of her thoughts by Celastia.
“Luna, sister, are you coming?”
Luna galloped after, she was hungry.
Celastia looked concerned as they walked.
Luna kept her gaze down, afraid that a wrong step would mean she would be back on the moon.. alone.
They arrived at the kitchen.
Celastia looked through the cabinets, of course they had cooks, but for her sister, she wanted to do it herself.
Celastia picked up a tin of animal crackers and floated it over to Luna, sitting across from her.
“Eat. The amount of magic you used as nightmare moon, and the long period of time in the moon must mean you’re starving, I don’t want you in pain.”
Luna cringed at the mention of nightmare moon, but ate the crackers.
Celastia smiled as she finished them quickly. “I knew you must’ve been hungry, sister.”
Luna finally looked up at her sister. “Do you hate me, sister?” The question was sudden, but Luna needed an answer.
Celastia was taken aback. “Hate you? Never, I- I feel horrible for sending you to the moon for so long, I’ve missed you every day.”
Luna blinked, then hugged Celastia.
Celastia was caught off guard, but softened quickly.
After a few minutes, Luna spoke finally. “I’m tired..”
“Well, I may have prepared a room for you… I knew we were coming up on the 1000th year.”
Luna blinked, then smiled. “I didn’t realize you cared so much.”
“For you, sister, anything.”
Celastia lead her to the room, just across from her own.
“I decorated it myself! I wasn’t sure if your style had changed but we can redecorate if you want!”
Luna was awestruck, it was a beautiful room, dark blue walls with stars painted on them, a balcony, and a lovely moon shaped bed. It looked amazingly comfortable.
Celastia smiled, “you like it?”
“Yes! It’s, it’s beautiful.”
“Now, sleep, sister.” Celastia closed the door, leaving Luna.
Luna lay down, falling asleep in minutes, how wonderful it was to be home.
