How is this planet even real
A German friend of mine (usually a sub) was experimenting with domming me over text message while I was at a work sponsored lunch.
She asked me what I was eating and I told her "a hot dog with ketchup and Sauerkraut" and the idea of putting Sauerkraut on a hot dog so threw her for a loop that she completely dropped her persona
Apparently the German desire for control is no match for American food sacrilege

for the lovely lovely deafies out there who want to get involved in direct action you absolutely 100% cannot ever bring a hearing aid or cochlear implant with bluetooth to any direct action. bluetooth devices all carry a unique signal that can be used to identify you if it's picked up at a direct action. go with a [more] hearing buddy and communicate in sign language. if you don't mutually know a sign language then come up with gestures. do not risk your freedom because you want to have your hearing aid/cochlear implant at the action. it's not worth it.
flock cameras are also now tracking bluetooth device signatures when you pass them. if you drive past a flock camera with your bluetooth-enabled hearing aid or cochlear implant, the flock camera knows you passed through
Wait I just realized this is gonna apply to all cgms and most if not all insulin pumps. Theyâre all Bluetooth devices, itâs essential to how they work
I did not think it possible, but I have just developed even more hatred, derision, and contempt for the perpetual surveillance state.
Hey all Twitch streamer, Twitch has you opt in by default that your streams will be use to train GenAI. To opt out, you have to go your "Settings" and in the tab "Security and Privacy." At the bottom of the tab, there is the "Training for Generative AI" setting.
you have fallen for AI before. even if you donât believe you could ever fall for AI, you very more than likely have at this point. you have scrolled past an AI generated ad not realizing it was AI. youâve seen a drawing online and thought âoh that looks cool,â not realizing it was not created a person. iâm not saying this to scare you, but i am saying it as a reminder that you are not immune to how realistic AI is becoming
Or how prevalent in previously trusted sources.
some seals and a tiny wee toad...extremely precious
"rocky would hate stratt because she hurt his bestie" plausible, even likely. "rocky wouldn't hate stratt because he understands the stakes of needing to save the actual world" nuanced, intellectually stimulating. "stratt would hate rocky because her ex wife whom she killed is happier with him" intriguing, avant-garde.
#7 billion fucking people on earth weren't enough but you'll die for the alien. sure. no yeah. sure.
you ever realize how able bodied people just are not expected to do things that cause them excruciating physical pain? like theyâre just. not
if i shouldnât use my cane because i can sometimes technically walk without it, it would just hurt like a motherfucker then abled people should no longer be allowed to use potholders to take things out of the oven because i mean
well they could technically pick up a hot pan with their bare hands. it would just hurt like a motherfucker
*sees an abled person using potholders*
i just think itâs really sad that youâre giving up on yourself like that
if you use potholders how will you ever build up the calluses necessary to pick up scalding hot metal without burning yourself so severely? itâs like youâre not even trying to get better
I mean, my mother uses potholders, but sheâs in her 70s. Youâre just⊠too YOUNG to be resorting to potholders at your age.
If you start using potholders, your inability to hold hot metal will only get worse.
As a professional cook I was, and still am, able to pick most stuff up out of an oven without a pot holder. I might get blisters and maybe it will hurt, but usually it wonât
AMAZING! based on this one specific individualâs experiences i will now safely assume that itâs possible for anyone to overcome hand pain & leave potholders behind for good!!! as long as you want it bad enough, anything is possible!! make this story go viral so that all those self pitying losers who still use potholders know that thereâs no excuse

My mother-in-law: now listen children - the birds will go quiet as the eclipse goes on
The eclipse: (goes on)
The birds: (go quiet)
One (1) Woodpigeon, continuously: HOOOO HOOOOO HOO. HU HOOOOO HU
(translated from Wood Pigeon): "You see, children, all the other birds have gone quiet as the eclipse goes on..."
am always obsessed when someone says to a character âcall off your dogâ about another character.

sometimes i wonder if we have forgotten that sharing creative work is, fundamentally, a bid for human connection. like I'm not posting art or fic for 'engagement' i'm posting it looking for other sickos to play with! i'd be making it anyway for my own gratification because there's something wrong with me, i'm sharing it hoping we can have something wrong with us together <3
My uncle waited until my aunt left to die.
He had cancer, and had reached the point that he was not very lucid, and we all knew it would be very soon.
But my aunt had to leave for the night, and he died while she was driving home. She felt terrible, and guilty, and sad â he had died with no one he knew beside him.
Something all the nurses told her was that some people choose when they die, and he did. Not using drugs or anything, just choosing when to stop fighting.
And he didn't want her to have to see him die.
Thinking about this again as i watch someone's posts about their father's approaching death. Just, you can't feel guilty if someone waits until you've left.
Okay we've seen the upper limits of what an astronomical budget for filmmaking can do. Let's cap the budget at $500,000 for a few years and see what film teams forced to get creative and utilize unknown actors produce.
honestly I hate âcan you pet the dog?!?â not for any of the common reasons but because it was initially interesting as a proposition of âcan you interact with the world in a way that is not within the primary mechanical loopâ and that very quickly fell away to being âwell now any indie developer making a game has to have a pet the dog button or theyâre going to get lettersâ
One of my dream projects has an NPC with a dog, and if you try to pet it, the owner tells you not to do that. If you try again, it bites you and you take damage. I want to do this entirely because I genuinely believe that this would make me feel way more grounded in the world than any âclick button to see cute animationâ would ever do, and also it would be really funny to have a game where people lose their runs because they tried to pet a dog they were told not to pet
