Friday night I saw my favorite band for the second time. This experience was nothing like any other concert experience I'd had. When @smashedchina and I arrived at 11 am, we had no idea who anyone else in line was. By the time the doors opened we had made our own 1975 family. @adamtpowell brought us all together to talk about the band and the world. He made us all think very deeply about the world and what we and music have to do with it. I want to thank him thousands of times for this because after he walked back into the stadium, the conversation continued. The discussion that we all had for the next 4-5 hours changed our perspective on nearly everything. Concerts aren't about looking at your favorite artist, it's about hearing them. Not just hearing but listening to what they say or sing. @the1975 are an amazing group of talented musicians who speak the honest truth we all need to hear. We should all be loving some. Loving each other. Together we all decided not to just talk about taking action but to do it, and to do so peacefully and in a manner in which you don't feel scared to join in. That's why I want to begin by spreading this message. The way I want to do this is through music. I want to heal and inspire people just as #the1975 has done this for me. I hope everyone can read this message or hear my music and want to change the world for the better too. Thank you so much to Adam P, The band, the amazing people I came to know, and the incredible crew who helped put all of this together.
