MAYBE this wouldn’t turn out as expected…?
Lawless really wasn’t expecting anything from Arata in the first place. It was a really on-the-fly thing, but the guy actually gave Lawless a name and item, he had to somehow ratify it, didn’t he? It was only right – he had gone too long without a contract at this point.
And since Lawless was dead, and Lichtan still alive…
… With a swift step, Lawless hopped off the table, circling around Arata so that he stood behind him. His sly grin just… stuck, a fang poking out of his smile.
“It’s time for introductions! Introductions! You’re the guy who named me, so I’ll do aaa~nything you say, so long as you use my name!” Lawless tossed the dogtag towards Arata. “I’m a simple hedgehog looking for a pal, yanno~~?”
"introductions...?!” arata was, admittedly, completely and utterly stumped by this guy. and he also was losing his patience at lightning speed. whoever he was, the guy was seriously fishy and he could already tell that absolutely NOTHING good could come out of him.
catching the dogtag with one hand, he took a moment to silently read the name scribbled on it. frustrated, he clenched the dogtag with his fist and snapped, “first of all, who said i was the one who named you? i just read your tag...” he tossed it back to lawless stubbornly.
despite the shock he felt regarding this incident, somewhere, deep down, he was mystified by how a hedgehog could turn into a person in the first place. that small bit of curiosity he felt was the sole reason he wasn’t trying to chase the stranger out of his room right now.
“secondly, what’s with you? hedgehogs aren’t supposed to talk, much less turn into humans.” arata, now with the sudden shock having passed, was able to think a bit more clearly and get down to business.
