Blueberries and peaches come together beautifully in this rustic galette. The buttery crust perfectly complements the sweet and tangy filling, making it a delightful summer dessert.
Ingredients: 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced. 1/4 cup ice water. 2 cups fresh blueberries. 2 cups sliced peaches. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 2 tablespoons cornstarch. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. 1 egg, beaten for egg wash. 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar, for sprinkling.
Instructions: Put flour and salt in a bowl and mix them together. Add butter and mix until the mixture looks like big crumbs. Using a fork, slowly add ice water until the dough forms a ball. Cover in plastic wrap and put in the fridge for one hour. Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. Roll the dough into a circle on a floured surface. Put blueberries, peaches, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice in a different bowl. Leave some space around the edges of the dough and put the fruit mixture in the middle. Fold the dough's edges over the filling and pleat them if you need to. Spread turbinado sugar on top of the dough and brush the edges with a beaten egg. In a 350-400 degree oven, bake the crust until it turns golden brown and the filling starts to bubble. Let it cool down a bit before you serve.

Zest of 2 limes. Freshly squeezed juice of 2 limes. Green food coloring optional. 3 cups powdered sugar.
Instructions: Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C. Whisk flour, baking soda, and baking powder together in a medium-sized bowl. Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a separate large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the buttermilk, egg, vanilla extract, almond extract, lime zest, and lime juice and beat until everything is well mixed. If you want the cookies to be a light green color, you can add a few drops of green food coloring to the wet ingredients. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined. Put the cookie dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes with the lid on. Drop dough into round balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon. For 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way. Whisk the powdered sugar and just enough lime juice together in a bowl until you get a thick frosting that you can still spread. Put some fresh key lime frosting on top of each cookie after it has cooled all the way down. If you want, you can add more lime zest or slices of lime as a garnish. Enjoy these soft sugar cookies that taste great and have a cool key lime twist.

These homemade poppy seed bagels are a tasty breakfast option. The dough is homemade and studded with poppy seeds for crunch and flavor. The chewy texture of bagels is achieved by boiling them before baking.
Instructions: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, yeast, warm water, and 1 tablespoon poppy seeds until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes on a lightly floured surface, or until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased mixing bowl, cover with a clean towel, and set aside for 1 hour, or until doubled in size. Punch the dough down and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Make a ball out of each piece and poke a hole in the centre with your thumb. Form the dough into the shape of a bagel. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit 220 degrees Celsius. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and stir in the remaining tablespoon of poppy seeds. Boil the bagels for 1 minute on each side, one or two at a time. Place on a greased baking sheet with a slotted spoon. Combine the egg white and 1 tablespoon of water in a mixing bowl. Brush the mixture over each bagel and top with the remaining poppy seeds. 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool on a wire rack.

Enjoy these homemade Pumpkin Spice Donuts and all of the cozy, fall flavors. These make the ideal dessert to share with loved ones or the ideal treat for a cosy morning. These donuts are incredibly delicious and warm thanks to the additional layer of sweetness and warmth provided by the cinnamon butter glaze!
Ingredients: 1 cup canned pumpkin puree. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 2 large eggs. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1/2 tsp salt. 1 tsp ground cinnamon. 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg. 1/4 tsp ground cloves. 1/4 tsp ground ginger. 1/4 cup milk. Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: Mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and pumpkin puree thoroughly in a big bowl. Combine the flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, and ginger in a separate bowl along with the baking powder and salt. Mixing until just combined, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ones. Take care not to blend too much. When the batter is smooth and well combined, add the milk and stir. Preheat vegetable oil to 350F 175C in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot. Pipe the donut batter into the heated oil in a circular motion using a piping bag or a zip-top bag with the corner cut off. Fry each donut for two to three minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown. After taking the donuts out of the oil, drain any excess oil by placing them on a plate covered with paper towels. In a shallow bowl, combine 1/4 cup melted butter and 1 tsp ground cinnamon for the glaze. Make sure to coat both sides of each donut after dipping it in the cinnamon butter glaze. If you'd like, you can also add a little more cinnamon on top. Serve the Pumpkin Spice Donuts after allowing the glaze to set for a few minutes.
