the thing about the aemond-alicent relationship that i personally find interesting is that because aegon is a useless loser and viserys was seriously ill and incompetent even when not ill for a lot of his second marriage, aemond seems to have been somewhat parentified from a young age by alicent (see: the multiple times in season one when he reassures her about things, even including the scene as a child immediately after he lost his eye where he has to be the one to stand up and diffuse the tensions after viserys refuses to do anything). this seems to have contributed to his control freak tendencies and belief that he is the only competent person in his family. unfortunately this does not seem to be what the writer's room of house of the dragon finds most interesting about their relationship.

facts i think need to be kept in mind when looking at trinity's hatred for/fear of langdon:

she was sexually abused as a child by a male authority figure

her childhood best friend killed herself because of their rapist

langdon is a male authority figure who is commiting a crime

langdon is a father. he has access to children

trinity, on the same day, watched her department collectively decide not to report a man for raping his daughter

I sometimes see people talking about her like her issues with Langdon are unfathomable and irrational but that is just not the case. Should she probably process and deal with it? Yeah. But it is not ridiculous for her to inherently distrust him especially since he was literally stealing from the hospital why would she trust someone who lied about something like that for so long? And was frankly unnecessarily cruel/rude to her on, wait that's right, HER FIRST DAY? Whatever man.
