Good afternoon! Hereâs my dayâs #todolist. Recently, Iâve been trying so hard to keep in mind that the way people behave has less to do with me than with themselves; that the way people treat others is a projection of whatâs going with them, internally. Iâm in school three days a week, for ten hours a day, in one classroom with about 25 other womenâŠÂ
I keep myself pretty busy, but Iâm friendly, outgoing and helpful by nature and I put myself out there, not to bring anyone down, but to uplift and assist where I can. I have my flaws and I know Iâm not everyoneâs cup of tea, but I mean well, and whether or not everyone likes me is no concern of mine. I just am who I am, come what may, because I believe Iâm a good person. In this sort of setting, misunderstandings and tension are unavoidable at times and something happened yesterday that really hurt my feelings and betrayed my trust. Iâm going to think on it today and decide on the best course of action.Â
Obviously, talking to the person directly is my go-to, but this person left early so I came home yesterday with zero closure. I donât believe in accusations, but I do want to be direct. Sometimes this goes over really well; people are open to discussing the problem and a solution inevitably arises. Other times, walls and defenses are put up, lies told and responsibility avoided, making it impossible to move forward with someone. Iâm not sure which way this will go, but Iâll have to find out. Iâll probably also take some pretty pictures of things, because that relaxes me. đ đ·
