Cis women chasers can be just as scary and weird as cis men chasers but they’re like sleeper agent chasers sometimes ur like wow my friend Becky is so chill and nice and really supports trans people thats so nice. So knowledgeable about trans stuff and always has had trans people around/ as friends. But then you come to learn slowly and painfully that Becky is actually a freak. She just learnt trans language from instagram infographics in order to get closer to vulnerable people she is personally attracted to for reasons she couldn’t fully articulate honestly without sounding very unwoke indeed
The motivations are sometimes different, it’s not always purely a sexual thing like it usually is for cis guys (although dont get me wrong it definitelyy often still is a sexual thing for them too.) but sometimes they’re acting more from having a terrifying superiority complex where they mostly enjoy feeling like they know something others dont. Maybe they enjoy surrounding themselves with those strange and beautiful transsexuals bc it adds some sort of depth of mystery or intrigue to their own boring lives. And cis girl chasers are (imo) much more prone to overstepping wildly on trans intercommunity issues. Bc they have this proximity to trans people that makes them think they know everythingggg esp compared to ur average cis person. But they don’t really actually understand (or more importantly) respect the conversation at hand or trans people having nuanced individual experiences. And they see someone expressing something different then what they have heard from Their Token Transsexual/s (which must be correct of course bc they are the ones that she personally likes) and they will talk over people who are actually trans in the name of “defending trans ppl” or whatever. Even if it means they’re scrapping other trans ppl about it. They enjoy the token transsexual they have collected. They enjoy feeling kinder, smarter, more worldly, more woke, for this exposure to the transsexual. Even if it’s literally just proximity and tokenism. They will flex the imaginary power that a trans friend/ partner gives them in queer spaces by wildly overestimating their level of actual understanding. Because their understanding has no depth and comes from a selfish place it will be full of holes. Holes in logic shaped like trans people they don’t have a personal relationship with and therefore dont need to listen to at all. They treat trans people they don’t desire (in whatever way) like shit. Bc they don’t respect us as trans people they respect something we can give them. Sometimes that’s a sense of superiority or charity work completed or it’s having sex with you. Which is also the ultimate form of charity to the cis woman chaser, and you will be indebted to her for this !
transmasculine erasure is just so wild. its genuinely like people have blinders. you'd think it would be impossible for someone to make a ludicrous statement like "masculinity is always rewarded and encouraged over femininity" or "a trans man couldn't be mocked for his masculinity, because that would mean questioning masculinity itself," you'd think people would automatically go "well obviously that's not true, people seen as women are actively encouraged to be feminine and to not be masculine, yes femininity is seen as lesser but people seen as women are meant to be lesser and are supposed to be okay with and enjoy this, like this should be so obvious that we shouldn't even need to go over specific examples of how untrue it is" but no. you can say stupid bullshit like that and people will not only take it fully seriously but will genuinely get mad at you if you point out how blatantly wrong it is.
genuinely anti-transmasculinity feels like this ominous looming black void in the middle of feminism that everyone just pretends isn't there, and you are meant to stand around it and act totally normal, and if you go "hey um isn't it weird how no one talks about the ominious looming black void? it makes me feel kind of uncomfortable" everyone looks at you like you are insane and gets mad at you and tells you there is no void and thinking there's a void makes you a misogynist and also if there was a void it would be your fault it exists in the first place. and also it would be kind of a funny, perhaps even good, thing if you think about it. but there is no void! so shut up :)
you can say these things and not only a bunch of people fail to challenge you on it, you can even publish it! those quotes are literally lines out of whipping girl!!!!

free the nipple has to make a resurgence for a number of reasons but bro look at our upcoming eternity of wet bulb temps youre smoking straight up cock if you think im keeping a shirt on when it hits 105° in new england
So much gym bro advice is bad, like a good 50% of it is wives tales (bros tales?) and another 25% is just way over thinking it and not necessary unless you're training to become a full time professional body builder competitor.
You really don't need to be "optimizing" your workout and the majority of people don't need to be massively altering their diet and lifestyle to build muscle. The human body is already optimized to build muscle.
The human body is a machine that turns carbs into energy and energy into movement and that movement creates strain. The human body is a machine that turns protein + strain into muscle growth. All you need is the correct amount of crabs, protien, and strain to develop muscle.
"But how much is enough carbs?? How much is enough protein??" 45%-65% of your calories should be carbs (preferably complex carbs and whole foods). If you're trying to build muscle you should be getting half a gram of protein for every pound that you weigh.
"But should I have protein before or after the gym???" it doesn't matter, just get the correct amount daily and avoid having more than 30grams in a meal becouse you're body will stop caring at that point. You should have carbs (roughly an hour or so) before the gym, remember the human body is a machine that turns carbs into energy and you need that energy at the gym.
"Do I need to have lots of testosterone to build visible muscle". No, the human body is a machine that turns protein + strain into muscle, regardless of your hormones. Higher testosterone makes it easier, but it's not required.
"What about all these complicated workout routines that Instagram keeps trying to sell me or that YouTubers keep talking about?" You don't need them. Pick three days you can workout, they should not be back to back. Muscle doesn't build during exerince but during healing after the exercise. If you don't rest between workout days you won't gain as much muscle. On one of those days do 5 exerices that involve the pulling motion. On another day do 5 exerices that do pushing motion. On the other day do 3 exerices for your legs and 2 for your core. Stretch every day including rest days. Do yoga at least once a week.
"How many times do I do those 5 exercises?" 4 or 5 sets of 4-8 reps for each exercise. Start with 4 sets of 4 reps and increase the reps as it gets easier. When it's easy at 5 sets of 8 reps, increase the weight by 2-5 pounds and start over at 4 sets of 4 reps with the new weight. Between every set rest 2-4 minutes (rest 2 mins if your lifting 20 or under and 4 misn if your lifting 20 or higher), rest between sets is important for your body to understand it needs to build muscle, it needs to feel the ache to understand that the protein should be used for muscle development.
"What about cardio?" if you get less then 10k steps a day, add 10-30 mins of cardio to the end of each gym day. If you get less than 5k steps a day add 15 mins of card to the end of each gym day and add a fourth day where you do an hour of cardio. If that's difficult, don't feel like you need to do it all at once. Do 10-15 mins, then rest for 2-5 mins, then do 10-15 mins more until you hit an both of cardio. Cardio doesn't kill your gains, the gym bros are lying to you. Cardio is good for your heart health and your balance which will help you lift more in the long run.
"Do I need to loose weight to gain muscle?" No, the amount of body fat you have doesn't effect your ability to gain muscle. The human body is a machine that turns protein + strain into muscle, and that includes fat bodies.
"Do I need to gain weight to gain muscle?" Maybe. If you are in a calorie deficit (your body burns more calories then you eat and you don't have fat stores to make up for that) then you're not going to be able to gain much muscle and eventually you're body will stop developing it when it hits it limits. Remember the human body is a machine that turns carbs into energy and energy into strain, if you don't have enough carbs you don't have enough energy then you can't lift as much. The human body is a machine that turns protein + strain into muscle, if you don't have enough protien then the strain breaks down your muscle and you have nothing to rebuild it stronger, which will result in injury insta if of gains. If you are skinny and eating enough, you will develop some muscle, but probably not as much as someone who weighs more becouse if there is less body then their is less muscle. Also keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat. When you work out the scale WILL go up, the scale doesn't know the difference between fat and muscle and bone and water and organs. The scale going up is not bad (regardless of the type of weight gain happening).
"Do I need a gym membership to gain muscle?" No, but it makes it easier becouse you have acsess to more tools, a monetary obligation to actually workout, and possibly gain a community that will push you to keep going (just be aware some of that community might firmly believe in gym bro tales about calorie counting and cardio=bad and body fat=bad. You mustn't listen to them. They have a body dysmorphia disorder and/or an eating disorder and they want you to have it to, in order to validate themself). You can buy some Dumbells and do a lot of exerices with those and a chair or a bench or a wall or your floor, no gym membership required.
"What about pre-workout?" You don't need it.
"What about protein powder? " It's an easy and cheap way to meet your protein goals, if you can't with the food available to you.
"What about creatinine?" It is the only supplement proven to help with muscle growth and has no medically known side effects, it has been highly studied and reaserched and determined safe to use. You do not need to use it or any other supplements to gain muscle, if you want to use a supplement, then the only one you should trust and use is creatine.

hai :3 you don't have to reply to this but is there any advice you'd give to someone going through syscovery?
EVERYTHING will change as time goes on so don't stress too much about nailing everything down straight away!! if it helps go for it, but trying to figure out Every Single Thing All At Once might not be as helpful as you think it is! I started out thinking I had five Versions Of Myself in here. turns out there are more like 20 and we're all VERY different people. things change! that's incredibly normal!
you will doubt yourself a LOT. like SO much. this is normal and means nothing about whether you're a system or not. I've known I was part of a system for SIX YEARS now and I still doubt it sometimes. let it wash over you! try not to fixate on it!
stay as far away as you can from reddit. every single community on there based around osdd/did is just horrible. they're all obsessed with "figuring out fakers" and if you don't fit an EXTREMELY NARROW set of "criteria" they'll just straight up harass you. not worth it ever
picrew is your best friend. it might seem cheesy but it's a gamechanger in terms of figuring out appearances!
take it so easy. there's no time limit on figuring things out. just let life happen and you'll have a better time with it [:
your friends will probably be more accepting than you think! I've told friends who had NO knowledge on did/osdd/systems in general and after some initial confusion they've been really supportive.
BUT give yourself a few months before you tell anyone with certainty! some time to let things settle internally is always a good idea
ignore anyone who tries to tell you that you're wrong about the way your system works. every brain is different and every system experience will be different too. strangers cannot dictate your experiences!
if you're ever stressed out or miserable or worried about the future, I want you to think about me! 7 years since discovery and I'm thriving. love my life, love the others in my system, communication is good, wouldn't want a world without them. being part of a system can be a beautiful way to live life [: anyone who insists you have to be miserable about it is dead wrong. remember this
*whispers* holy shit people are amazing.
i think we should start openly mocking male creatives who can't figure out how to write women. like actually i think it's embarrassing that it took elliot page transitioning for christopher nolan to give him a good role. why did it take like ten years to get the first female lead in a marvel movie? why is it a Known Fact that stephen king can't write women? why is 50% of the population omitted from large ensemble works? i asked my friend to name a movie directed by a man with a majority female cast and he said ghostbusters 2016. ghostbusters. ghostbusters. g
Elliot Page also starred in Inception before transitioning, and from what I’ve heard is in The Odyssey for less than five minutes, so that’s a really weird example to use. Like, I don’t disagree with the overall point, but why is that the first example? Kind of feels more like criticizing Nolan for hiring a trans actor than actually being about men not able to write women.
Elliot Page is such a good example of how when trans men transition people automatically read privilege into their experiences—them specfically, in a way that singles them out among the sea of cis men they are surrounded with living their lives uncontroversially—when all evidence suggests they are actually experiencing the exact opposite of that. Elliot Page has gotten nothing but hate and scrutinity from the general public and the media and his career has taken some serious damage since coming out.

More circuit board-inspired pieces because I love them so! I made this carafe and cup set out of black porcelain, and the red design is inlaid into a hand-carved design (rather than painted on), using a traditional ceramics technique called mishima.
