I find it so funny that this generation is so petty, they literally saw the government taking away our freedoms under the guise of 'national security' (banning TikTok while saying China is stealing our data) and everyone is like 'aight bet' (joining a legit Chinese owned app and giving up our data willingly).

Now, that same government is like 'shit they are calling our bluff' (them wanting TikTok to sell to the US but seeing the company say they'll just pull out of the US entirely and seeing users migrate to RedNote instead of other Meta apps) and they're trying to backpedal SO hard to keep Americans from staying on the 'Chinese TikTok'.

It won't stop me from keeping both, Imma still be petty asf along with y'all. Plus learning about Chinese culture (mainly food and fashion) straight from the country itself is fun. And I honestly just mainly browse the place for food and cats.

It's just honestly so much nicer on RedNote, the Chinese users are SO friendly and kind compared to the US users who are trying to start drama by 'cosplaying' as Chinese users to be racist and tell other American users to get off the app (yes it's a thing). But hey, knowing the location of each user *really* helps with knowing who's saying what over there.

Apparently a lot of my Tumblr posts have been getting used as fodder for shitty AI voice memes on various video hosting sites lately, because I've had multiple people pop up in my DMs over the past few days saying some variation of "holy shit, you're real", and I'm never 100% sure how to take that.

Honestly, there is a LOT of fake stuff on TikTok. Mostly fake Reddit stuff. But it doesn't stop at that either. Content farms can/have/will make fake content, including fake users/usernames to make it seem legit. So it's not hard to see why someone will go 'omg you are real', TikTok has no verification process for any of this.

And it's all the same posts, there's some inception shit going on over there with some accounts taking another's videos and using it all with an overlay of their own AI stories/text but you can quietly hear the old video behind it still. And people still watch it.

I have no idea what the hell happened to me.

I was sick with Bronchitis for almost THREE WEEKS, then the day I think I'm getting better I get food poisoning.

Legit thought I was dying, I woke up feeling like a plastic doll having its limbs being blown up then deflated and I had no clue where I was or if anything was real anymore.

Figured that this would be needed, the game doesn't have a huge fandom so I wanted to create something for the ones here on tumblr who've been sad that the game doesn't really have a community of its own.

Not only was All Might a better hero than Endeavor, but he had no kids and was still a better Dad than him too.

Man was depressed, only reason he stuck around was because of Deku. Literally said he would've ended it all if it wasn't for them meeting, then he paid that back two-fold during the 2nd war when he became Iron Might.

But it wasn't just Deku either. He loves all his students, they finally gave him something to truly live for and that's why he named his attacks after them all - even gave Bakugou his gauntlet at the end, instead of trying to fight until he dies he gave that responsibility to the newer generation because it was no longer *his* time. He legit did this for his students, not for some lofty goal but he wanted to give back to those who gave him the strength to go on because he still had something to give this world. And he knew that *this* was the future heroes should have, no longer one person but many fighting together as one.

He became a REAL hero - not by name, but by example.

A true 'All For One / One For All' duality.

Then you just see Dabi at the bottom, ready to catch their baby at all times like the good dad he is.

Yes, the both of them planned all of this.

They just wanted to teach their baby to 'fly', but the media seemingly forgets to mention Hawks is a Bird Man and birds in nature do this all the time. So it's a huge scandal within mom (and Karen) circles online, parents saying that no one is safe around Hawks and some even try taking away the baby as everyone is worried he might kill it.

And despite Dabi saying he will burn them all if they try, Hawks goes to the media himself to explain everything. Even going into bird biology as he does, showing that it is *very common* to those with bird type quirks to do this with their children (his dad unfortunately would just throw him from high places bc he wanted to actually kill him but it ended up helping Hawks learn to fly).

Then they start asking why the baby's wings suddenly catch fire sometimes. That one is much harder to explain.

This has been driving me insane.

I used to be *good* at search. It was a whole thing - I found people's "lost songs" or their unknown-source childhood stuffed toy or whatever from Google.

Now, you can't search for the exact brand/design name of something and get accurate answers. It drives me spare on Amazon - if I search for XYZ and you don't have any, or you only have 2, tell me that.

I wouldn't mind if it said "Here are 2 XYZ. Shoppers also searched for..." Instead it'll just throw a random, barely-linked pile of results and you have to wade through every single one to see if the thing you want exists.

THIS. For ages I used to say that I had "high Google-Fu". I could find *anything* because I knew how to use strings to enhance searches. The string commands haven't even worked for well over a year or more, far before they put in this infernal (and often wrong!) AI BS on top.

I used to be able to search for recipes and easily eliminate unwanted ingredients with a -. For example I'd look for low-carb desserts but without the zillions that use peanut butter simply by searching for something like:

low carb chocolate dessert recipe -peanut

And I'd get a slew of on-point suggestions. For some time now if you do -peanut Google ignores the - and assumes you want recipes stuffed with peanuts.

Where it's even worse now is now you get directed to sites full of bogus AI recipes that don't even make sense. But they have peanuts in them.

I used to be able to use reverse image searches to find out who made that awesome art so I could give credit in my share. They've removed that ability entirely and replaced it with Lens, which is AI BS just showing you more like what you looked for. (Rebecca Watson complained about this in her recent video about JD Vance jizz cup rumours and I apologise for that sentence but...yeah. Watson is great, go find her on Youtube and subscribe because she went into detail about how Google has become less and less useful for debunking.)

This isn't just about Google inserting shopping ads instead of what you wanted to learn about. That's bad. But the results now are just *broken*. The tools we used to have to make searches better have been removed. Google no longer wants us to find the answers we seek, but the answers they want us to have, and that's super creepy and dangerous.

And the alternatives are either using Google in the back end or have other significant barriers to use.

This sucks.
