Hello! I’m daffy and this is my npd sideblog.

I'm a system who has CPTSD, ADHD, and OSDD-1b (among other conditions, haha). I have had NPD for most of my life, and I’m currently in remission for it. I believe I have HPD as well, but I’m less sure of that than the others.

I’m also physically disabled and have hEDS and VSS.

I try to tag mentions of ableism against pwNPD (and in general), but I can sometimes forget, so fair warning. I also use caps often for emphasis. I try to tag for caps (tw caps, caps tw), I also tag for caps in tags separately (caps in tags), though I am mortal (sadly) and I forget.

If I don't tag for something that you need tagged, send me an ask! I'll do my best to make sure that kind of content gets tagged from then on.

All of my posts are okay to reblog unless I explicitly specify otherwise. Spam liking/reblogging is not only allowed, but encouraged.

i do not want to live in the fucking panopticon fuck the camera that blinks above me at work, the tv watching me at the store, the "smile you're on camera" signs, the ring cameras, the flock cameras, the apps to track your child or partner, the activist friends telling me "just assume everything you do in public is being recorded somewhere", the government building protester databases, the teslas recording every move all around them, the knowledge that everything i type or search or save is being tracked and logged, the ads and search suggestions that mysteriously know what i was just talking about, the way biometrics keep creeping into more places, the way my car spies on me, the way my phone spies on me, the way there is nowhere to go to get away from it!!! no wonder the internet is full of vindictive little stalkers and witchhunts when it's the water and the air of society from the culture to the infrastructure

um I've had good results with welbutrin but that's mainly because I have a depressive disorder and I believe I would've had it if I'd never developed NPD (my mom's been on the same medication since she was like 19)

I know what people are getting at when they say not to do this but I do actually appreciate knowing if someone's mental illness is at work when they give me an apology? like I don't think it's wrong to say "sorry for ghosting you, I had a paranoid episode and could barely look at my phone for two months" or "sorry for missing this event, I was really depressed and couldn't get out of bed" or "sorry I acted really weird and left quickly the other day, something triggered me and I couldn't figure out how to cool down until I was alone" because those are full and complete answers that would be less accurate if the symptom were edited out. I know what those things mean and I would actually prefer to know if my friend messed something up for reasons not entirely within their control rather than have them attempt to take responsibility for things they already actively try to avoid doing.

my approach to blogging whilst having DID is just like. only three of us ever really care about tumblr anyway and none of us are interested in signing our names on posts so why not just post everything in the hosts cadence and hope that nobody cares about our various inconsistencies. and if they do care. well blame your least favourite alter and move on. who care

the thing about mental illness is there's the horrors and stuff but it's also really annoying and inconvenient to have. And people focus on the horrors for obvious reasons but it really is very annoying and very inconvenient
