In defence of vermin
A horrific shambling abomination is magically transformed into a human and the story treats this as body horror. It immediately falls over into the dirt because it isn't used to balancing on legs or having bones, It claws at its too-few eyes with too-blunt nails and screams in a voice that is utterly alien to it, the ever-present singing of the cosmos is silenced as its myriad senses dull to nothing.
And all of this is made worse by these things, these hideous things that have warped its form to match their own, telling it in condescending tones that they have saved it. That they are the perfect beings, the default beings, and that surely all creatures must long for their shape. That this is better than being what it was before.

Whether you're trans, intersex or both, I think you all deserve a little love.
just kind of pet peeve when folks try to define alterhuman terms but get things very wrong .Â
alterhuman is not just about nonhumanity , but about any identity and experience when could be alternative to humanity , alternative form of humanity , or alternative expression of humanity .Â
this can then also include hearthomes , fictionkin of human characters , and yes , some kinds of plurality . after all , societal expectation of humanity is one mind , one body , one person who live within . not all plurals must identify with alterhumanity , but that is why that choice is there . that list is also definitely not exhaustive !
also grind gears when folks bring up clinical zoanthropy alongside physical nonhumanity , especially in ways that imply zoanthropes do not really get to be alterhuman , and must instead seek fix . everyone is different - some will be safer and more comfortable to regard experiences as struggle of psychosis , but not everyone will , and may consider psychosis to be side effects of experiences rather than cause .Â
know anti-psychiatry can be ... controversial , but have to recognise psychiatric spaces can be so cruel , that even folks who might want to pursue certain options do not feel safe to do so . others have immense trauma from stigma against experiences - experiences of psychosis can be stressful , but sometimes worst part is how others react . truthfully , those folks still need community spaces too , and psychiatric ones will not necessarily fit .
in addition , anyone who want to consider physical nonhuman experiences as mentally ill will just do so anyway , no matter if explain until blue in face . to really get fair treatment , need for others not to correctly identify who is or is not mentally ill , but to change views on concepts of mental illness , madness , and to stand up for autonomy , kindness and respect , and unique individuality of everyone - that everyone have different needs , different comforts , and different truths of heart .
Hokkaido fox By: Minoru Taketazu From: Natural History Magazine 1980
I wish I could experience every part of the life of a fox, yes even the bad parts.
I thought it would be funny to draw a medieval style inspired fox and so I did it! I added other animals just for fun (and of course one of them had to be a marten, because you all know my weaknesses).

i see a lot of posts along the lines of âi want to wear collarsâ âi want people to refer to/treat me as a dogâ followed by:
âBUT I DONT WANT PEOPLE TO TAKE IT THE WRONG WAY!â
âBUT NOT IN A SEXUAL WAY!â
and what i will say in response is, why are you ashamed of sexuality? why are you ashamed of instinct? why are you ashamed to potentially associate with kink?
it is true there are people who might treat you weirdly if they suspect itâs sexual, but at the end of the day those people likely hate you already for some other reason (ie: if youâre not white, able bodied, or cishet).
provided you are physically safe, should you care about the opinions of others? NO.
you are allowed to personally not like sex or even find it repulsive. but you donât need to tack a disclaimer that youâre not an icky sex freak onto your objectively tame statements of wanting to be treated as your species.
ah since this is the piss on the poor websiteâŠ
firstly, as i said above: YOU donât have to like sex. YOU can find it repulsive. but there is a way that sex is talked about in the therian community that i find grating, as a sexual adult. im allowed to feel the way i do as are you.
secondly, within the THERIAN COMMUNITY i feel it unnecessary to clarify that itâs not sexual. your fellow therians know it is not. if someone reblogs your post to an nsfw blog and that makes you uncomfortable, that is within your right and you have access to the block button.
lastly, to the âtherianthropy shouldnât be sexualizedâ argument: is it âsexualizationâ or are people just having sex how they want to, as the species they are?
to the reblog that brought up a million other unrelated discourse topics such as but not limited to: if being fat is healthy or not, dating preferences, transmisogyny, and transandrophobia: wowâŠâŠâŠ. would love to know why you felt the need to unload that here.
for the third time: YOU can dislike sex. YOU can find it repulsive. but as other reblogs have pointed out, the addition of âbut not in a sexual wayâ âbut not in a wrong wayâ does, in fact, fuel the notion that it is a sex thing.
nothing is inherently sexual, except maybe sex itself. we donât need to clarify within the community that itâs not sexual, when we as therians know it is not.
to everyone shouting they are a minor or bringing up minors: minors are not exempt from being harmful? at least half of the packer discourse was exacerbated and created by minors.
minors: this post is not sexualizing you or advocating that you should be sexualized- and to quote my favorite movie, âyou keep using that word but i do not think it means what you think it means.â
I wish I could go outside right now, I'm sitting in bed with my window open and it's making the urge to let myself drop the human mask and act like a fox stronger. The air coming through the window has the perfect temperature, many different scents, and I love hearing the sounds of different birds. If I didn't have to go to sleep I'd be going outside to run around in the yard

a society that allows people to starve when there is food has failed. like. thatâs it.
People arguing with this saying, âwhy do people deserve food for free???â is honestly just further proof of the failure.Â
