guys i’ve read aftg at least like 7 times but i don’t think i’ve ever been this obsessed!! literally been up all night after finishing tkm giggling kicking my feet at posts about kevin. kind of also want to make a list of things i didn’t pick up on the first time i read them bc i was 13 at the time and there are so many things😭😭😭😭

i have to say i’ve kind of developed a love for aaron🤭 every time he speaks in tfc (excluding when he’s only talking to nicky) i kinda just giggle and feel proud of him bc he contributed to the conversation!!

I love Kevin don't get me wrong, I completely understand he had every right to leave and save himself. But I keep rereading the part where he calls Jean asking if Edgar Allan has really changed districts and it breaks my heart.
Was this the first time they "talked" after Kevin left? How did Jean feel hearing his voice again? Was that the moment Jean found out Kevin Could have called him and just didn't?
Have you guys never felt so guilty about something that you just completely avoided and kept avoiding it and avoiding it until going back to it felt just wrong and as if it was better to just leave it? I feel like that's what was going on in Kevin's head. We know he felt guilty over leaving Jean behind. He didn't even call or text his own girlfriend after he upped and left. And we know Jean was stuck with the cult mentality of 'we belong here' so why would Kevin start casually texting with someone who a) he felt incredibly guilty over and b) for a long while after he left, he probably just saw as the 'enemy' or someone he needed to avoid as he detached himself from the Ravens?
Don't get me wrong, it's fucked up that they had to end up in this place to begin with, and Jean has every right to be angry, but also Kevin somehow just ended up grasping the chance to escape the abuser he was so terrified of. We can't know 100% what was going on in Kevin's head, but from canon implications, it's safe to assume it was probably a mix of feeling guilt, needing to detach himself and also probably his own way of keeping Jean safe. Riko and the Master had thought at first that Jean had helped Kevin escape, and Jean paid the price for it. Kevin would have known that, so why would he casually be texting with Jean, especially with the fear of Riko finding out?
