listen though like…I can respect that obviously a lot of time and money went into the 2019 adaptation. but someone — likely the Disney bigwigs if we’re honest — limited the animation team from fully expressing these characters and diversifying their designs, choosing this uncanny valley photo-realism instead. even though the CGI shows its age at times, Aslan is a great example of a semi-realistic animal having just enough expression to convey human emotion without it becoming unbalanced. lion king 2019 is conversely putting all its energy into making a cartoon “real life” and is losing all the expressive personality that helped make the OG movie memorable in the process.

As an ace man seeing these things piss me off so much because I spent my whole goddamned life thinking I was broken because I didn’t see women the same way other men did. I spent 20+ years thinking I was broken and wrong about everything in the world and it was a random fucking Tumblr Post that made it all click that “No.. you aren’t broken. You are just as valid as everyone else”

So why should other people have to feel broken for 20+ years? Why should Aces feel like they are wrong and broken?

They shouldn’t. Nobody should. There was a time, a long time ago I had an ace chat group on Skype but being it was during the era Skype was at its worst and Discord was on the rise it died. Maybe one day I’ll build another chat group for ace folk. Maybe.
