Can I request Clingy Astarion headcanons with Tav and he really likes sleepy cuddles too.

Astarion, now that he knows cuddles are a thing, is obsessed with them.

He spends every night curled up next to Tav. Right next to them on the bed, with his arms around them; even though he doesn’t technically sleep.

He also makes a grand show of ‘going to bed’ now.

Commenting on how late it’s gotten, dramatic yawns, inching closer & closer to the bedroom.

If that doesn’t work Astarion will just pout. Much like a grumpy cat who is ready for bed and his owner won’t get move.

Staring around the corner at them with a piercing, miffed gaze until they come along.

Only content when they are finally in bed ready for rest.

Astarion getting the vampire equivalent of cuteness aggression towards Tav/Durge and doing that thing cats do where they just sort of put their teeth on you and bite, not enough to actually break skin, but just like. A little nip. It's something the two of them get used to very quickly and honestly they sort of forget how alarming it looks from the outside. The first time they're sitting around the campfire and Astarion just fucking. Leans over and straight up looks like he just bites Tav/Durge's shoulder Gayle damn near falls off the log he's sitting on.

Yes, I know, it's a burial shroud. I feel like he'd loathe it and what it represents. The concept of needing it to get rest and that it signifies his death and rebirth into a worse life.

But there's no doubt that at some point it was the only thing that he could call his own.

The poor man needs so much therapy.

I'm not sure if I like this piece or not. It didn't turn out how I expected, and I learned that drawing fabric is a nightmare for me, but it was good practice I guess.

cazador calling astarion "a sad little boy who never amounted to anything" hits fucking harder when you realize that when astarion was turned he literally was a child in elf years. (elves physically mature at the same rate as humans, but they aren't considered adults until they're 100.) likely the only reason he was able to be a magistrate at all was because baldur's gate is a majority human society. but of course cazador is also an elf and would absolutely have seen astarion as a child.

astarion was essentially the elven equivalent of an over-achieving and naive 18 year old. killed before his life even got a chance to begin, and then offered immortality as he was laying there dying in an alley
