Anyone who is against the 13th Doctor being a woman really needs to come up with a better excuse than “well it’s always been a man!”

Since I am a gamer nerd I will give you all a comparison to how the Assassins Creed franchise handled their upcoming release: Ubisoft knew that their product needed a revamp in order to keep fans coming back, so they reviewed everything from the ground up. They took a look at every aspect of the franchise and asked “why do we do this”. If the only answer they could come up with was “well it’s a legacy, we’ve just always done it that way” it was not a good enough reason and they made changes to reflect what fans actually wanted and/or would make the game better as a whole.

It’s already been established canon that The Doctor can change gender, so there’s really no good reason to NOT make this change. It’s not like this decision came out of nowhere. If the best you can come up with is “well it’s always been this way”, you need a better excuse.

because I think my boss would really like the show but he said he watched it once when it was on TV and pretty much didn’t understand anything that was happening, so I told him I’d come up with some good ones for him to watch to see if he likes it.

I’m going to recommend “The Time of Angels” for sure.

So I went to the auto store today to get a new headlight and decided to get a steering wheel cover while I was there. I bring my stuff up to the counter and the guy working is like, “I just put that cover out there 15 minutes ago I think it looks like the TARDIS.”

So naturally I’m freaking out like THAT’S EXACTLY WHY I PICKED IT OUT.

I’m pretty sure I just gained a little more faith in humanity.
