Does anyone else have a particular date or event that ‘started’ the pandemic for them? Even though that event clearly happened after everything ‘started’?
The day schools were closed where I live.
My birthday (March 13th) was a Friday last year and was the very last “normal” day in my area. Schools announced they were not going to return after march break, social gatherings were officially restricted (not by a lot tho- I think it was like 20 at the start), and travel was limited. So I consider March 14th the start of it for us- the first day with the new rules and regulations.
I consider my birthday (March 12) as the day it all started for me. My husband had taken the night off, but had to be called in because that’s when people started to basically raid the grocery store and he then had to work every night for over two months so I always considered that the start of the pandemic.
Derick's brother's hand placement in the photo in front of the decorated house makes it look like Deena is pregnant maybe? Have they announced officially? But it could also just be an awkward hand placement idk?
I saw that! I immediately thought she was and didn't think anything of it (just figured I lost track of who was preggo). When I saw this ask I looked at her IG and didn't see any baby announcements, so just a weird pose as far we know!
She’s pregnant, it mentions that in her caption

Some great trigger safety.
when i saw that picture of renee (? i think) holding perfume i first thought it was this
i just love the idea of one of the rod girls getting one direction perfume for christmas
i hope that these are their favorite gifts because it would suck if one boy got a gun (hopefully bb) and another boy just got a mini hungarian dictionary and a trinket
Literally the first rule of gun safety is to always treat the gun as if it’s loaded, and the third rule is never put your finger on the trigger until you’re ready to fire. Don’t let your children hold a gun unless they’ve been trained on how to be safe with it ffs
I was thinking that maybe the trinket is actually a knight from a chess set?
Tell me something good that happened to you in 2020 and a good thing you are expecting from 2021
2020: I got a good job as a teacher and I started doing the prerequisites for nursing school
2021: I’m hoping that I’ll finish up the prerequisites for my nursing program
The yeehaw wedding is giving me the same level of anxiety/despair/astonishment as when I moved to the midwest from California for college and learned that camo prom dresses were a thing (also that "hunter orange" is a color. And that the school had to provide gun storage for students. And that "snickers salad" exists).
I went to high school with people who have been married in camo dresses or had ‘hunting’ as their wedding theme lol. The midwest is truly a unique and terrifying place.
I've lived in the Midwest my entire life and same. I'm jaded by it and don't care about the camo shit most of the time. I don't like it but it's not my life so I don't care.
But someone please tell me what in God's name a snickers salad is! I've never heard of it and am super curious. It's going to give me nightmares.
So in the Midwest, there’s these side dishes that are often times jello based. They are usually served as a side during the main course and are known as (blank) salad. They tend to be a fruit jello base or a pudding base mixed with a whole host of things from nuts, cheese, fruits, to whip cream, sour cream, candy, or cookies. A really common one is called ambrosia, that one has coconut and marshmallows.
I know it sounds gross and weird, but I really think it’s an acquired taste. Like I’ve seen some with Oreos in it. My mom loves her Iowa family recipe one and all of her siblings and cousins love it. My siblings and I despise it.
Snicker salad I think usually has apples in it and is pudding based.
Is it really that much of a mystery when it could be 2 of like, 5 things
five likes and i’ll comment “i wonder if it’s a hat... or maybe a hat”
There is 5 likes and now 3 reblogs...

Didn’t he make it harder for immigrants to come to the U.S. though? I know he was really good at economic legislation.
Also he had a pet raccoon.
We need another First Raccoon ASAP
Teddy Roosevelt had a badger named Josiah and would release him to roam over the White House often. Eventually though, they took him to the Bronx Zoo because they couldn’t provide enough for him anymore, but they would visit him often because they didn’t want him to feel abandoned.

Jed Defeated! Hurray!
He will be crying himself to sleep in his twin bed tonight.
Time for Sangria and Pizza Rolls?
I’m on my second gin & tonic and I’m thinking about making spaghetti
Question time pt 2!
The order in which you use eggs:
A) Clear out the top and then the bottom, left to right
B) top and bottom, moving from left to right
C) zero sense of order
Bonus question:
If you need three eggs and you’re typically B are you doing top, bottom, top or top, bottom, bottom?
(if it matters we buy 12 or 24 carton) C because I pick whichever eggs I think look nicest, but I often go in roughly B order unless another egg looks like the best egg for whatever I'm cooking, no answer to bonus question because it depends which eggs look like the right eggs
I like to make designs as I take eggs out.
Does anyone know what Kaylee's hat says? I couldn't figure it out and she wears this one a lot.
Something like Noah?
Do they sell merch at that big Arc?
So they only have two hats listen on their online gift shop, but they have t-shirts with a similar font that says “Faith Like Noah” so chances are the hat says that
There’s also this shirt 🙄

Michael completed her nursing school courses!
Oh lord that nurse picture. Almost no nurses wear that hat anymore.
the nurse hat looks photoshopped on
The nursing hat is most likely only being worn because of the capping ceremony some schools still do
I don’t have a brother, so I really can’t speak to this experience, but I find it so weird that Kelly told Lawson all about Tori being dilated and contracting.
I don’t really find it weird, but to be fair my siblings and I grew up hearing this stuff and so when ever someone is having a baby, my mom will share this info with us. For context though, my mom works in L&D as a nurse, one brother was a combat medic, another is a nurse anesthetist, and the last is a paramedic, so all of us have always been pretty desensitized to it and usually will ask how the labor is progressing and such.
I totally get though why it would seem weird and thinking about this is the context of fundies it is kind of weird, but also I feel like these kids kind of grew up hearing this stuff since a new sibling was being popped out every few years.
Also, I want to say in one (or more) of the Duggar birth specials, Jimbob shared this info with the kids, but I could be remembering it wrong.
