concept: a reverse dating sim
where you play out different scenarios where you are trying to
get a divorce from the partner in the scenario you are playing
and you can get different endings depending on what you do
and you can always fail to get the divorce and that's the bad ending
make it so that in some scenarios an amicable divorce is possible
while in other scenarios you have to be an asshole to get out
because resolving things peacefully and nicely isn't always an option
maybe have something similar to a sanity meter where
if it drops below a certain point you give up on divorce
and you just stay in the relationship because it's easier
you have to make a tactical decision wheter to try to be nice
and risk your resolve melting away as you give up on divorce
or be a little bit mean or drag up the past to steel your resolve
and being too mean COULD get you one of the bad endings though
so you gotta balance out being a good person with
looking after yourself and getting your good ending
psychological horror where the horror is wrestling with morality
to balance your own needs with your own conduct towards others
maybe make it so you can explore around in the apartment/house
and look for signs of the partner being a bad person or a bad spouse
look for reasons to go through with the divorce and stay the course
refilling your ' sanity ' meter by finding evidence and remembering stuff
or figuring out stuff you can say to make it easier to make it happen
in bad relationships it's very easy to forget and gloss over the bad stuff
so physically exploring and looking for evidence and remembering stuff
could be a good way to engage with that kind of interactive story
story wise the character not remembering all the things they could say
makes perfect sense and is a good way to add immersion to the game
