It was odd for you to wake up before your husband but today you wanted to do something special for Paterson. Usually he’d wake up and have a bowl of cereal but today you pulled out the works. Sausage, eggs pancakes, a true American breakfast. You checked up on the eggs and stirred them around so they didn’t burn and smiled. ‘He’s going to be so surprised.’ You thought to yourself. Humming a soft tune, you started to flip a pancake when you felt two arms wrap around your waist. You jumped a little out of surprise. A deep sleep filled chuckle came from behind you.

“Thought you’d gotten up and ran away.” Paterson smiled and rested his head on your shoulder.

“Nope. Just playing housewife is all.” You teased, placing a kiss on his temple.

“mmm” he hummed softly. “And I’m playing koala bear.” He joked. He placed small kisses along your neck and shoulder.

“I’m sure Koala bears don’t sit and make out with each other’s necks.” You bantered.

“Well I didn’t get the chance to give you your morning koala bear kisses.”

You giggled softly as he tickled your sides. “Stop! I’m gonna burn the food.”

He smiled and kissed your lips sweetly. “Thank you for making breakfast honey.”

“No problem honey.” You winked.
