Looking back through an old notebook and found this little gem..π When i fisrt qualified as an acupuncturist I volunteered in a #arc cancer support centre in #Dublin. A- to pay it forward and help people with the knowledge and skills I had developed. B- to apply and further develop those skills through clinical practice. ββββββββββββ This lady had been under care with the #oncology team with colon cancer and had been through the mill as everyone and there family goes through with this terrible disease. She stuck with her treatment consistently and with all the recommendations i had given her with regards to lifestyle, nutrition and mindset. ββββββββββββ After a couple of months of treatment she had a review with her medical team and came back to me with the biggest smile on her face, and tears of joy in her eyes As she told me her TUMOUR HAD SHRUNK IN SIZE, the team asked what was she doing and told her to continue.. She still had surgery to remove the remaining mast, but that change in size had changed how she seen her life, and the ability she seen in herself to be able to heal. This was amazing for me as it was the first time i had ever seen subjective changes within a persons internal physiology... Key take away is that our body is constantly reacting and changing to the environment and stresses we place upon it.. #physicare #integratedhealth #internalmedicine #tcm #chinesemedicine #acupuncture #naturalmedicine #healthcare #individualisedhealthcare #nutrition #physiology #cancersupport #instacare #arccancersupport #healthyireland (at PhysiCare Bodywork Therapy)
