It's the way Hosseini writes, how he summarizes an entire character arc or the main thematic point of his books into a single, simple sentence that makes his writing some of the most profound storytelling I've come across.

Such simple sentences, and yet they stay with you, months later, years later, always sitting in the back of your mind, reminding you of these very real yet fictional stories and characters and life.
