Ok, so, I researched this. I read his court files.
What this guy did was he let two young couples who wanted to have sex away from their parents’ eyes into his house. Here’s a “statement of the facts” from an appeal after he was convicted:
“Fourteen-year-old Stephanie was dating 18 year-old Timothy Cutshall; fifteen-year-old Rachelle was dating 23 year-old Chris Hall. On the night in question, Hall and Cutshall asked the defendant to let them use his house for a liaison with the girls. The girls lied to their parents about where they were going, went to the defendant’s house, and had sex with Cutshall and Hall; the defendant never had sex with either girl.
“The evidence was in conflict as to whether the defendant knew that the girls were underage. There was no evidence that he knew they were younger enough than the men to render their otherwise consensual intercourse statutory rape. Finally, there was no evidence that he knew that the girls did not have their parents’ permission to go to his house. Nonetheless, the defendant was convicted of aiding and abetting statutory rape, second degree kidnapping, and taking indecent liberties with children.”
The person who shared his sex offender registry completely made up the “sexual assault” charge, and “kidnapping” didn’t sit right with me, so I looked into it. What actually happened was complicated. What it looks like to me is this dude, possibly under the influence of the alcohol he said ruined his life, made a stupid decision to trust these kids and had some creative prosecutors throw the book at him in every way they could think of.
Wow that’s way worse.

No that is definitely a tan, that’s really how she looked back then. It wasn’t good content at all and she stopped and deleted the video but they even included a part in that history post where they admitted she said it was a tan. She’s expressed regret in tanning that badly too. Also, the content she’s being called out for is from 2011/12 and she DEFINITELY doesn’t feel that way anymore, the same source you’re using cites her talking about how talking like that isn’t okay and she’s ashamed of her old videos. Back in 2012 I was sexist and homophobic and now I’m a gay feminist. Growth happens. No internalized misogyny or stereotypes are present in her content anymore and she’s way more mature. She even tries to include non binary people in her content and said that it makes her happy when people tell her they love being acknowledged like that.
She learned without being called out, instead commenters just helped her and she expressed gratitude for that, but then years later it’s resurfacing despite the fact that her content is NOTHING like that any more. And yeah, it’s good to be aware, but y'all are spreading this without information and as if it’s representative of her as a person, especially when most people don’t read sources and take words at face value.
Most people in the notes claiming she did blackface don’t even know the context when asked and it just goes to show how obsessed with call out culture people are. One person has even claimed she did blackface in 2017, but there’s no explanation unless they mean her “100 coats video” where she did many layers of lashes, foundation, hairspray, lipstick, and spray tan. They could have meant the fact that the spray tan she put on her arm eventually got dark, but she even admitted she didn’t know that would happen and washed it off. She definitely wasn’t trying to get darker though, she was just following a fun trend with beauty products.
TL;DR: Jenna marbles, like everyone else on YouTube in 2012, was dumb and edgy and kind of said whatever. She also tanned way too much. Over the years she’s matured, hasn’t repeat offended, and is remorseful for her past videos. She now just makes content to have harmless fun

Visual exhaustion is another symptom of ADHD, which means that if we see something enough times (or we see enough instances of something), it fades into background noise and we fail to notice it. This is why a lot of ADHD people can stand living surrounded by mess/clutter, because it’s just visual background noise to us. We don’t even notice it anymore. So if we write something down and see the note stuck up somewhere a lot – or if we write a LOT of somethings down and have a lot of notes hanging around – then we’re even less likely to think of/remember the thing because it’s just part of the scenery now. ADHD is the Catch-22 of brains.
A very good thing to know about ADHD. Don’t fall into the trap.
A lot of folks in the comments are talking about writing on themselves or setting phone/calendar reminders. Your mileage may vary on those. You may also want to consider ways to set a habit of referring back to a planner or similar every day/hour.

Ok so I’ve been playing for 18 years and i’m a string teacher. Can i just say how IMPORTANT it is for young kids to see a BLACK, MALE-PRESENTING PERSON playing, nae, SHREDDING on a violin? I’ve know maybe 5 black people who played stringed instruments throughout my schooling and teaching (predumably because i’m an upper middle class white woman). In districts where the population is predominantly black, funding is always low, so the instruments are crappy. Kids quit, or the program is dismantled. I’ve seen very few professional string players who are black.
Obviously there are black string players. We just don’t see them because they “don’t look like” string players.
This person is the real deal. They were clearly classically trained, and seems to have some fiddle training as well. How cool is that?
