Wonderlust spoilers-
Watching Wonderlust as someone who grew up with the kind of respiratory illness that puts the fear of death in you means developing 100 headcanons about Runt and sharing none of them because they’re all gross as hell
“Ive posted too much sad stuff about UPP” vs UPP having soooo much stuff in it to be sad about
Watching UPP from the start and getting so hyped to see all the characters but genuinely I don’t think anyone could be more thrilled at William being onscreen than Charlie Slimecicle himself
dont imagine william channeling lui and norah and isaac every time he has to come up with a plan in prime defenders, because he’s used to it being HIM who runs into deadly situations without a plan.
Now the roles are reversed and william has to make the plans , because vyncent and dakota sure as hell arent going to. dont think about how william was never the rational one, he was just the one who knew the consequences of diving in head first, because he’d lived through them first hand, and he cant bear to risk making the same mistakes twice
Hmm. Was thinking of rewatching just Empty Graves before UPP part 3 comes out but now I have time to revisit Diseased Residents too. Maybe this isn’t so bad

AAAAAAAA I just finished Wonderlust. I’m going to cry. All the players three hours into the last episode and still wanting just a little bit more time after Bizly dropped the pocket watch could NOT be more real. Spoilers for the finale below the cut -
Yeah, WD’s confession got me emotional. I love her and Ripley so much and I’m so glad they got a happy ending. Ripley gets to keep inventing as herself(!!!) and WD gets to keep doing what makes her happiest - violating OSHA regulations by the side of the person she adores the most. Love is real
I spent the back half of Blink’s arc just cheering him on whenever he spoke. ESPECIALLY when he cut loose in the last fight, standing up for himself and everyone he cares about. And now he’s taking care of his people in a capacity he probably didn’t even dare to dream of before. Plus, he finally delivered that goddamn letter. That’s my bird
RUNT. The smartest girl in the world. Making both Reclaim and Wonder better places, because of course she is. She’s HER. Getting to hear about her walking around in her kickass upgraded suit, healthy and changing the world? Pinch, Uncle Three Strings and the rest of her family must be so proud. I feel like a proud parent. Tears in my eyes
And Troy. His arc has been wild to watch. Turns out all this guy really needed was to have actual friends for the first time in his life. Bro learned open-mindedness, compassion and hell, even a little humility. And he infected his father with the human condition as well. Beautiful. Behold: what human connection can do for a motherfucker
I am really going to miss these characters and this setting. Beautiful arcs, joy and whimsy. Wonder even. Good campaign
Ripley brings me so much joy as a science freak. The pure euphoria of hearing about fresh developments in your field of interest is so real. I also have to wonder if Bizly has taken any collegiate science classes because the way he plays someone who is So Fucking Excited About Physics reminds me of some of my professors to a T

All respect to those who vent on their fandom accounts but the “mortifying ordeal” part of being known is just too much for me. If someone wanted to unlock my tragic backstory they’d have to reverse engineer it from the characters I post too much about like an ARG
Mentally I keep coming back to Runt episode 26 because damn. This kid gives Thanatos a run for his money in terms of being the most metal jrwi character to ever do it
- Pushes her body to the point of shutdown
- Stares death in the face. Gets really goddamn close to biting it
- Wakes up covered in her own gore. The first words out of her mouth are getting her bearings and the second, despite being in immense pain, are an effort to get a handle on the situation
- Cries a little. Who wouldn’t. Jesus christ
- Then locks in maybe harder than anyone ever has. Cracks a physics problem the brightest minds of her generation haven’t been able to conquer? Mortal terror and agony be damned?? Right then and there???
- Tops it off with another completely novel prototype. Light work for Runt Wonderlust
- Uses her new scientific breakthrough(s) to perform surgery. On HERSELF. A surgery in which a sub-centimeter miscalculation would instantly perforate her heart
- Kills that shit to the most extreme degree. Cures her chronic illness
- Almost immediately walks outside, climbs into a commandeered mech of her own making and fucks shit up
If it weren’t for Runt’s solid commitment to being an all around decent human being this child would scare me more than Troy does. Actual force of nature
More Wonderlust episode 26 spoilers-
Blink’s character progression makes me so happy. He really went from wet noodle to staring Extraordinary Lougferd dead in the eyes and putting him in his place. We love to see it
