Jesus said, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). Jesus called people to repent before He called them to believe! To repent is to grieve over one’s sin, to grieve over wounding Christ by their sin, and then turning away from their wicked ways. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 7:10, “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret.” Let us not be casual about sin. Would you pray with me that God would give us truly repentant hearts?

Prayer: Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus, give me a truly repentant heart. Remove all callousness that tolerates sin in me and let me never grieve You by sinning against You. Strengthen me Lord to this end. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

One of the biggest sins of this generation is chosen, willful ignorance. It’s having more knowledge and truth at your fingertips that other generations bled and died to give you access to and what do you do with it? Ignore it on purpose and twist it to fuel your sin. Call evil good and good evil. The way you can find any number of posts here and elsewhere spouting complete utter nonsense that has been debunked time and time again but the evidence doesn’t matter when the argument isn’t about proving fact, it’s about changing the heart, something only Christ can do. Any one person is no better than another, even a Christian knows this. The difference is where you get your wisdom and place your trust. If it’s not from God and in Christ then it’s sinking sand that will fail you in the end.

My Statement of Faith

I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord—the one and only begotten Son of God, fully God and fully man. There is no God but the Creator of the heavens and the earth, YHWH.

I believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. He died for our sins, rose again in victory over death, and is the one and only Mediator between God and humanity.

I believe that everyone who trusts in Christ becomes a child of God, loved beyond measure and of immeasurable worth. We are a royal priesthood, called to live for His glory and proclaim His goodness.

I believe that Jesus Christ will come again. He will establish His eternal kingdom, and those who belong to Him will reign with Him forever in a new creation where there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain—only the fullness of God's goodness and everlasting joy.

Jesus Christ is Lord. To Him alone be all glory, forever and ever. Amen.

You know, I am kind of tired of people responding "But God/Jesus is always with you!" When I mention how lonely or alone I feel.

It's true. I know this. It's not a lack of faith. He is with me and that is a comfort.

However I don't think that God wanted that to be a replacement for human relationship.

Anyway, I've been so lonely for so long that I genuinely can't remember the last time someone showed up on time to meet up with me. Can't remember the last time a hangout or meetup didn't get pushed back or canceled on me. Unless I'm spending money on someone, not even my own family shows up.

And I know everyone has reasons, and they're usually justified, but I'm so lonely. I wish I was a justified reason for doing anything. I wish I meant anything to the people around me without earning my keep.

I promise I'll be a good lamb, the quietest lamb. Just please love me.
