they're thinking about how it used to be. kind of angst?
☆ JINRANG
Jinrang didn't really regret many things. He had simply accepted that life wasn't fair, especially for the weak ones.
So he never thought breaking ties with you had been the wrong choice. The last thing he wanted was for you to get hurt or, God, something even worse. Not having you by his side anymore hurt, but knowing you were safe was enough for him.
But sometimes he couldn't help himself.
"I just want to stay like this," you said quietly in the darkness of the room.
Your bare body was pressed against his back, your arms wrapped loosely around him. You didn't have enough strength to hold him the way you usually did. So tightly, making sure he knew how much you loved it. Loved being close to him.
"... I'll stay as long as you need me to," he replied calmly, just like always. But you could hear it. That warmth in his voice that existed only for you.
His larger hand gently covered yours. His touch was always soft. Jinrang was gentle with you because he knew his own strength was enough to hurt.
Even in that memory, he'd already been thinking about letting you go.
He still felt guilty whenever he remembered the look in your eyes after he brought it up several weeks later.
And he wasn't sure whether he was a coward or just an asshole. Everything he'd done had been for you, to let you live somewhere safe.
You deserved that more than anyone. You had shown him what love was. You had made him desperate for your little touches and glances. Jinrang had promised himself he'd keep you safe, even if it meant never holding you in his arms again.
He sighed before finishing the last sip of soju from his glass.
Life was so unfair. He knew that.
Because even after all this time, whenever he was left alone with his thoughts... They always drifted back to you.
He missed you way too much.
☆ JICHANG
He sat with his eyes closed for a long while. Not because he was especially tired, there simply wasn't much happening in Chungcheong.
Jichang wasn't sure why he felt so uneasy, like something heavy was pressing against his chest. Slowly, he opened his eyes, already reaching for the notebook resting in the far corner of the desk.
A cigarette was tucked between his lips as he opened the familiar black notebook. On the last page was a photo. He hadn't touched it since the day you'd slipped it inside.
Your smile was bright, but your eyes were focused entirely on the person taking the picture.
"You want to bring your brothers here?"
You placed a mug in front of him while his eyes slowly scanned the paper in his hands. He hummed, looking up at you over the rim of his glasses.
"Definitely not yet. I was thinking about having them attend high school in Seoul," he answered simply, giving you a small nod in thanks for the coffee. "Why do you ask?"
"Jihan called me. He was whining about missing me."
Jichang raised an eyebrow. His younger brother really was that attached to you, huh?
"Mhm."
He nodded after a few seconds.
"I'll see what we can do."
We. Not just him. Because back then, the two of you had been stable.
Jichang was the King of Seoul and you were by his side. Safe and protected.
It was almost funny how much everything had changed.
The cigarette had burned itself out by the time the memory finally faded. He lit another one but his eyes remained fixed on the photo. He hoped you were doing alright. After all the breakup had been hard on you.
Back then, he'd lost everything in Seoul.
His hand closed the notebook. He really needed to make a few calls and find out how you were doing.
No matter how much time had passed. You had been part of his family. You always would be.
☆ JAEGYEON
His palm slid across the steering wheel, feeling the material beneath his fingers. It didn't feel right.
He looked around the interior of the car. When he'd chosen it, he'd thought the design looked great. Now... That didn't feel right either.
He stepped out of the car, his eyes roaming over it several times. The colors were bright. He'd really thought they would suit it.
So why did everything feel so damn wrong?
Jaegyeon let out a long, exhausted sigh. He'd been happy to sell his old car and buy this one. It was better in every way, right?
He knew it wasn't about the engine. Well... Mostly.
The real problem was that you weren't sitting beside him anymore. That was why everything felt so empty.
"These two."
You placed two paint samples in front of him, making him glance up. Jaegyeon wiped his hands before studying the color combination for a few more moments.
"Why these?" he asked, holding the samples up to see how the paint changed under different angles.
"They're my favorite," you answered simply.
Something in his expression changed.
Your favorite? He'd never asked before. Suddenly those two colors looked much better. He moved the samples around once more as though he were still considering the options, even though he'd already made up his mind.
His car in your favorite colors. Your little things are laying around, quietly proving how often you were there. With him. He felt stupid for how much it affected him. Love was a strange thing.
"Actually, I wanted these colors from the start," he said. You rolled your eyes.
"Sure, babe."
The corners of Jaegyeon's lips twitched into a grin. He buried his nose against your shoulder, wrapping his arms around you a little tighter.
He really wished life could stay like that forever.
But it didn't.
Jaegyeon had decided the two of you couldn't stay together.
He wasn't planning to leave that life behind anytime soon and he knew exactly how it could end for you.
He'd lived through that pain before. He wasn't sure he could survive it again if one day you stopped breathing because of him.
So it's gonna be a soft sweet story where jake has a day off and reader isn't busy either, and they're just having fun, cute and funny moments! And maybe with the rest of big deal.
Lookism only be having fights now I miss the sweet stuff T_T
BTW I love your fics!! I just found them and I'm in love >3<
a/n: hiiii anon! ♡ thanks for your request. I am so happy to write about jake. he's my favorite hehe
♡ Jake and reader have a day off.
Someone might say that being in a long-term relationship is boring. There aren't as many butterflies anymore, dates become regular hangouts and at that point you two are practically live together.
If you're addicted to the new emotions, try dating Jake Kim. You'll get the full package of emotions! From the happiness of knowing his dumb ass is still alive, to the indescribable horror of seeing him come home with a bloody face after ignoring your calls all day.
"Sometimes I forget there are places this quiet," you murmured, because the moment felt too good to disturb it with a louder voice.
Nothing too special. Really.
You and your boyfriend had grabbed some food, brought a blanket and found a quiet spot not too far from Big Deal street, but far enough to have a few hours alone.
"Yeah," he answered after a few seconds, turning to look at you.
You were leaning comfortably against his shoulder, your hands intertwined. Just a moment for the two of you. He really needed that.
Jake let out a long, tired sigh before pressing several soft kisses to your forehead.
"I really should take you out more," he said quietly, meeting your eyes. "You're way too pretty to spend all your time stuck inside with me."
Your only response was a chuckle because you'd already had this conversation countless times. His life was one crazy marathon after another. You understood.
"No, I'm serious..." Jake protested when you laughed it off. You raised your hand and lightly slapped his thigh. He winced.
The poor giant baby acted like you'd seriously hurt him. Yeah, it hurt! It hurt his soul!
"Let's drop it for now. I just want to spend some time with my boyfriend without having this conversation again..."
Jake looked like he wanted to argue. Instead, his words died the moment your hand cupped the back of his neck and you leaned in to kiss him.
It could wait.
"... I think it can wait."
Jason was the first to say it out loud after a long silence. Brad scratched his jaw before nodding.
Of course something had to happen on the one day Jake finally took a day off. The last thing they wanted was to bother him while he was spending some free time with you. They'd seen how tense he'd been for the past few days. Hell, maybe even weeks.
"Well... it's just some water, right?"
Brad asked after another moment of silence.
Several guys were carrying boxes out of the shop while they could hear Lineman shouting something about the water still not stopping.
The two exchanged a glance.
It could wait.
"Don't you think..." Jake placed another big kiss on your lips, making you giggle, "... it's kind of strange that no one's looking for us?"
He kissed both of your cheeks before burying his face in your neck. He was always so touchy.
"Actually... now that you mention it..."
You glanced at the phone lying on the blanket. No new messages from the chats. Even Lua had been suspiciously quiet. Lua? Quiet?
It gave you the same feeling as when kids suddenly stop making noises. Like something definitely happened.
Jake looked at you. You didn't even have to say anything. He could tell exactly what you were thinking just by looking at your face.
"... Dinner at my place?"
Two birds with one stone. More private time with you and he could quickly check on the street while he was at it. Something was telling him he should.
"You guys don't know how to turn off the water?!" Lua shouted, staring at the amount of boxes they'd rescued from the second shop that had flooded too.
"We're not locksmiths, Lua! Move!" Lineman shouted back before tossing his soaking wet coat at her. She squealed and jumped out of the way.
"I think that actually is a plumber's job..." Brad mumbled, opening one of the boxes to see if the clothes inside had survived.
Jerry walked out of the second shop. Completely soaked, but wearing the same stoic expression as always.
Everyone looked at him. Apparently, he'd finally managed to turn the water off.
"We need to tell Boss Jake about this," Jerry said.
Everyone immediately grimaced.
"No! Nope! Him and Noona need some time alone! You people who've never been in a relationship just don't get it!" Lua protested.
The guys grimaced even harder. That was a sore subject. Lua never been in relationship as well. Neither said it out loud.
Everyone was so focused on the chaos that they didn't notice the couple standing right behind them.
Jake looked thoroughly unimpressed, your hand resting comfortably in his. Looks like he'd been right after all. Something indeed happened.
"Tell me about what?"
His voice suddenly sounded so loud that everyone jumped.
Within seconds, they were standing in a neat line. Completely soaked and looking like they'd just fought Poseidon himself.
Jake put two and two together almost immediately and simply sighed. He glanced at you, silently asking if it was okay for the two of you to stay a little longer.
"Take off your jacket first, hero," you murmured, helping him out of it as he was already walking inside to make sure everything was alright.
He stopped and blinked at you, as if he'd suddenly realized he'd forgotten something.
And he had!
He leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to your lips. Everyone else's eyes immediately drifted toward the sky. They still couldn't get used to how openly affectionate the two of you were.
But could you really help it? You were just in love.
"You're the best," he whispered for your ears only, "And I promise I'll take off something else tonight."
cuddling with someone you care about is important for your happiness and mental health, so here are some small headcanons about how the Allied boys cuddle
☆ DANIEL
Sweet boy loves being close to you but he still gets flustered easily. Physical touch is a pretty common thing for him and he doesn't mind it, but there was always something special about being held in your arms.
His own arms never squeeze you too tightly, just enough for you to feel how much he appreciates being close. Simply being near you is enough to make him feel better after a long day. Cuddles make all the tension leave his shoulders.
☆ VASCO
His arms hug you way too tight sometimes which is why you have to remind him not to be so aggressive with his love.
He loves wrapping his arms around your waist and lifting you into the air with the biggest smile on his face. Your attention is so important to him, so if you're the one who initiates the hug... Agh, man, he gets excited again and you have to remind him that he's a very big and very strong man.
He can't help himself. He just loves you.
☆ ZACK
The one who's always trying to play it cool. A few casual side hugs here and there like it's really not a big deal. Every time he just hopes you don't have super hearing or something like that, and can't tell how loud his heart is beating.
Physical touch means a lot to him. It's proof to the world that the two of you are close enough to casually hold hands, stand side by side or give each other a quick side hugs.
Initiate the hug yourself and you gonna see how his nonexistent tail is wagging at full speed.
☆ JAY
He's full of love. Really. He doesn't say it out loud (he doesn't speak at all...) but he's the type to show it through actions.
His hugs are never too tight, almost hesitant at first, making sure you're comfortable. Your well-being always comes first and he's trying his best for you all the time.
Once he realizes you're more than happy to hug him back, he relaxes a little. His hands start doing little things like fixing your clothes or making sure your hair looks nice.
☆ VIN JIN
The one who lifts you into the air all the time. Not because he's excited and completely in love (he is)... He's just being an asshole. Trying way too hard to be that guy who's always casually throwing an arm around his partner.
Well... He's pretty good at pretending.
Side hugs just to tease you. Suddenly lifting you into the air while hugging you from behind. Vin loves reminding you how strong, hot and amazing he is. Don't you feel lucky?
The whole tsundere act falls apart the moment you're the one who hugs him first, your cheek resting against his chest as your eyes are blinking at him. In those moments he's the one who feels lucky.
☆ HUDSON
He never thought much about hugging someone before he met you.
Now having an arm around you feels so natural that he can't help hugging you all the time. He just loves feeling your warmth so close, knowing he's there to protect you and make sure you're safe.
He is the Sun of Ansan, after all. Obviosly.
Stand on your tiptoes, hug him and press a little kiss against his jawline. It's going to be really hard for him to keep pretending it doesn't affect him so much.
Hey so this is my first time doing a request and so I’m lowk nervous and feel free to ignore this req if you want but can you do some scenarios with a reader that has selective mutism with gun, goo, Jake, and Samuel. And any other characters you wanna add also I love your fics sm!🥺
a/n: hiii anon ♡ it's my first time as well, so don't worry lol. i had to make some researches for this one, so i hope u will like it!
Gun, Goo, Samuel, Jake
boys with a reader who has selective mutism
In general, I think all of them look for independence in a partner but they wouldn't mind doing things like telling the waiter your order or not pushing you to talk to new people. The problem starts when it's causing you discomfort or making your life more difficult.
I mean if the reader is constantly stressed because of it, they would definitely try to do something about it. Some of them wouldn't sugarcoat it at all (let's be realistic, even though I love writing romanticized scenarios).
☆ GUN
Well, good luck, because this is the guy who turned Daniel into a masterpiece. He can make you overcome something as simple (for him) as selective mutism. Gun is either going to make you even more anxious or you'll get over it within a month.
You swallowed hard while standing beside him.
He was silent. The barista was silent as well, blinking at both of you after asking for your order but neither of you said anything. His hands rested casually in his pockets, not bothered by the situation at all.
You said this whole selective mutism thing was causing you discomfort? Well, overcome it. Gun was simple when it came to things like that.
You felt your stress level reaching its peak as another customer stepped into line behind you.
"Two cappuccinos, please..." you said, your voice quiet but the barista, bless her soul, understood you and immediately started preparing the order.
Gun didn't say a word, even though your eyes had been drilling holes into the side of his face the entire time. Sometimes you really were questioning how you ended up with this man.
"You think this will help me?" you asked once the two of you left the cafe.
Gun had even made you pick up the order yourself and properly thank the barista.
"You ordered without my help. You can do it," he said simply, opening the car door for you. "It's reverse psychology."
He doesn't know shit about psychology.
☆ GOO
Good luck with this one too. You really have to be immature enough to match his stupid jokes if you want to get close to him. Because I genuinely can't imagine him not bringing it up all the time. Nothing too much, of course. He knows when to slow down.
"What happened, pancake?" Goo asked, setting a paper bag full of something delicious-smelling on the coffee table.
You were lying with your face right into the pillow. The most dramatic pose possible after experiencing the worst fifteen minutes of your life at the public hospital because you needed a single document.
That woman had been so annoyed by how quietly you spoke, which only made you even more nervous.
You were trying to be nice. Why couldn't she do the same?!
"The world is so cruel to it's nicest souls..." you mumbled into the pillow before turning to look at him. After hearing about your unsuccessful trip, Goo immediately started laughing his ass off.
Not a second of sympathy.
"The world is so cruel to my pinkie pie..." he snorted at his own joke before catching your unimpressed stare.
"You are being a bitch and I'm staying home for the rest of my life."
"Not very progressive of you to become a stay-at-home wifey," he teased again. You continued staring. "What? I'm very informed about feminism. I watched a TikTok about it."
He really can't take anything seriously.
☆ SAMUEL
To be honest, Samuel isn't the type to be a shoulder to cry on. He'll take care of you, but in his own way. That guy needs help too... he's not exactly the most emotionally reliable person around.
You were stressed as hell. You had been rehearsing that conversation for twenty minutes beforehand. And it still didn't go as planned.
Again.
You awkwardly handed the documents to another employee, nodded at his question, and hurried away. You were trying. Really trying.
A cold bottle pressed against your cheek, making you look up at the intruder. Samuel glanced at you from head to toe and let out a deep sigh. So loud and unapologetic.
Without another glance, you took the water from his hand and thanked him, even though you already knew what he was going to say.
"You really need to deal with that," he said simply, making you grimace. "You can't even work normally."
"I know, smartass." you opened the bottle and stared at it for a few seconds. "I'm trying but every time I open my mouth, it just doesn't feel right. Do you understand that?"
"Not really," he answered in the same flat tone. It was your turn to sigh. Samuel was lucky you were patient.
He fell silent, looking at you from behind his brand-new glasses. You looked like someone had kicked your puppy. Samuel clicked his tongue.
"Find a specialist. I'll pay for it."
He's not going to deal with it directly but he does have money.
☆ JAKE
Probably the most sensible one on this list. Jake may have some questionable morals but he's incredibly sweet when it comes to the people he loves. If there's a problem, he'll try to help. Your well-being is his priority.
"We can start with something simple," Jake said after several moments of thinking.
He knew about your problem and he knew it was causing you distress. Jake hates seeing his loved ones stressed, so he slowly brought up the topic.
Eventually, the conversation turned to how much it affected your life and honestly, he felt bad for you.
"For example?" you asked quietly, playing with the edge of his sleeve while resting your head on his shoulder. His arm wrapped around you, making sure you felt safe in his presence.
"Small steps. Maybe start with buying an ice cream," he nodded toward a nearby ice cream stand.
You pursed your lips, considering it. It didn't sound too difficult.
"I can try..."
You nodded and took a moment before standing up. While taking a deep breath, you were mentally rehearsing what to say.
"Do you want me to come with you?"
You shook your head.
"Okay. I'll be right here, baby. If you don't feel like doing it, just come back to me."
God. So sweet. You really didn't want to disappoint him, even if it meant pushing through that damn feeling in your chest.
And you did it.
When you came back carrying two ice creams, Jake greeted you with a bright smile before pressing a big kiss to your forehead.
"Good job. Not so scary, right?"
He'd make sure you knew he was there whenever you needed him.
reader makes his routine (life) better. sweet and silly. everyone is in love. sigh.
☆ ELI
"Aren't you the cutest?"
Your smile was bright as Yenna tugged at the collar of your windbreaker. Your walks around the playground always ended the same way. Yenna would climb onto the bench, paying more attention to you than to the games and the other children.
The little girl's bottle was clutched in her small but surprisingly strong hand. She took several big gulps, making those familiar sounds as if she'd never tasted water before.
"Better, baby?" you smiled as the kid nodded and handed you the bottle. "Daddy is going to be back soon. Don't you want to play while we're waiting?"
Your hand fixed the ponytail you'd done for her that morning, but Yenna shook her head.
No. No, no, and one more time... no! She was staying right here.
"Sorry... You two alright?" the familiar voice made you turn around.
The little girl's squeals immediately got louder as she raised her hands, babbling something in her own language.
"There was a huge line."
Eli pressed a small kiss to your temple. A brief touch but it meant so much more. His eyes quickly scanned over you and his daughter once again, making sure you were both safe. When he didn't spot anything wrong, he smiled.
Good.
His arm slid around Yenna before lifting her into the air. You stood up as well, and his hand immediately settled on your lower back, making sure the two most important people in his life stayed close.
A small routine. Just you, Yenna, and him. Spending time together without any particular purpose. Yet every moment filled his heart with a quiet warmth.
This was his family.
"Shit, I forgot..." Eli blinked at the plastic bag in his hand. He muttered it quietly, making sure little ears wouldn't hear.
"Shit!" she repeated. Loud and crystal clear.
You pressed a hand over your mouth while Eli gave you the most horrified look of his life.
☆ TAESOO
His attention was always on you.
Just casually checking to make sure everything was alright. Not because he was overprotective (well, maybe a little). He knew you could take care of yourself.
It just happened that the mountains were dangerous. He trusted you and your survival skills, but his eyes still drifted back to your silhouette every now and then.
"There!" you said excitedly, squatting down beside him near the bonfire. Several berries rested in your palm.
"You sure they're edible?" he teased, taking all of them before tossing them straight into his mouth. "If I die, you're staying here forever."
"If I wanted you dead, I'd come up with a better plan." you wiped your hands on your pants and sat down beside him.
The two of you sat in comfortable silence for a few moments before you suddenly asked:
"... Wait. What meat is that?"
"Snake."
"H-Huh?"
You blinked at the fire once before giving him a suspicious look. Snake? Like snake snake? The long and hissing one?
"I love you very much, but I don't want to eat that..."
He chuckled, the sound low and rich. His hand ran around your thigh, enjoying the simple comfort of having you so close. Just you and him, with no one nearby.
"Just kidding, darling. It's chicken," he murmured against your jaw, breathing in your scent. He knew you didn't like culinary experiments, so he always made sure you were well-fed even out here in the forest.
His lips brushed against your neck, the rough bristles of his jaw touched your skin. Just as his hand started to move under your shirt, you made a sound of protest.
"Did you wash your hands?"
"Did you wash your hands before feeding me those berries?"
"... Fair enough. Take off your clothes."
☆ SEONGJI
You raised your arms into the air and took a deep breath. Ahh. The air here was so clean. No city noise. No crowds.
Honestly this place could be sold as some ridiculously overpriced retreat for wealthy people looking for a few days of peace and quiet. Not a bad business idea.
"Drink," his voice pulled you from your thoughts.
Seongji held out a cup filled with something warm, his gentle eyes looking at you as if you were something precious.
Well, to him, you were. The most precious thing in his life.
"It's so nice here!" you said, taking the slightly battered mug from his hands.
He didn't bother hiding his fingers from you anymore, having finally accepted that you never saw them as something strange.
"The air is so fresh! And I saw a mouse over there..."
You pointed off to the side.
"Much cuter than the city's rats," you added dramatically. That earned a slightly wider smile from him.
He simply nodded, because honestly, he wasn't sure how big city rats actually were.
You kept talking about the beauty of this place and he found himself unable to stop his thoughts from wandering.
This place had always been his refuge. The place he'd retreated to while hiding from the rest of the world. He'd never thought of it as something beautiful.
The only beautiful thing here was you.
Your presence made everything feel lighter. Brighter. You made him feel like this damned mountain wasn't such a bad place after all. His chest tightened at the thought.
How had he lived without you before? And what had he done to deserve someone so wonderful by his side?
You stopped talking when his arms suddenly wrapped around you, his face buried in the crook of your neck.
"Seongji?" you asked worried. For a moment, you were afraid he wasn't feeling well again.
"Let's just... stay like this. Please," this time, it was your heart that tightened, "Just a little longer."
pls tell me which characters youd like to see more!! also im trying to improve my writing since ive never written in english before. im kinda sweating trying to use better vocabulary well have fun
There wasn't a label on your relationship. Best friends? It sounded kind of childish, but you liked to call him that. It didn't really matter at the end of the day. It was always you and him.
☆ GOO
"Not fair," you said in a dissatisfied tone, your eyes fixed on the screen. You knew it would end like that. He was good at this game, after all.
Goo was grinning from ear to ear, looking as happy as if he'd won millions. One arm was wrapped around your shoulders, his fingers slowly tracing circles over your bare skin in an oddly soothing way.
"Aww, look at that face!" his free hand reached up, and you gently slapped it away before he could pinch your cheek. "So grumpy! Do you want me to let you win? Hmm? Want me to?"
You gave him an unimpressed glance, making him giggle like a schoolgirl. What was his problem?
Both of his arms wrapped around you, pushing you back against the couch. He was all touchy without trying to do anything more, though you could feel the warmth of his palm resting against your stomach. He wasn't even trying to support his own weight, practically lying on top of you.
What an asshole.
"Get your sweaty little hands off me! I just got out of the shower," your voice came out muffled beneath his excessive weight.
"Yep. And you used my shampoo," Goo replied with a wide smile, nuzzling his nose against your neck to catch his own scent on you. For some reason, knowing you walked around smelling like him made him strangely happy.
Then his tongue briefly brushed your pulse point and you squealed.
"Ew! Ew, ew, ewww... Fuck off, Goo!"
☆ JAMES
You held one suit hanger against your body, humming quietly. Then you picked up another with your free hand. Both looked fine, yet something still felt off.
Your eyes met his in the mirror as he watched you with his usual calm expression.
"What do you think?" you asked, turning toward him. You held up one suit, then the other, giving him a chance to compare them.
"Both are good," he said simply, never taking his eyes off your silhouette. "You would look beautiful even without anything at all."
You shrugged, turning back to the mirror.
"Liar. You haven't seen me without clothes, so you can't say that."
James's lips twitched. A tiny movement, not quite a smile. Slowly, he stood up from the armchair and took several steps toward you. Your eyes met again in the mirror.
"... Maybe something flashier? I bet you still have something left from your idol days."
James glanced at the ceiling, as if he was either thinking or quietly rolling his eyes at your attitude.
He raised a hand and gently tilted your chin upward. The touch was light and playful, almost like a reminder not to push your luck too far.
Before you could say anything else, he stepped back until your view was filled by his broad shoulders.
"The second one. Your legs look better in the second one."
You hummed, glancing down at your legs.
Do they?
☆ JAKE
Jake looked up as you placed a plastic bag in front of him. The smell of something warm and delicious immediately reached him.
"What is it?" he asked, though his hands were already unpacking the bag and peeking into the containers inside.
"Leftovers," you said simply, leaning your hip against the table. "I visited your mom and she gave me some."
His brows shot up in surprise. You hadn't told him that. His mom hadn't mentioned it either. Well, in her defense, it wasn't like she called him very often.
"Mom? Like my mom?" You nodded, and Jake stared at the food with a bewildered expression. "Why wasn't I invited?"
"I dunno... She only asked me to come over."
At your dismissive shrug, Jake chuckled and shook his head. Now you were visiting his mom without him even being invited? The last time he checked, he was her only kid.
"Okay, that's kind of cute, but I'm definitely asking her about it next time," Jake said with his usual easygoing smile as he stood up.
One hand settled warmly against your lower back while the other lifted the bag into the air. He gave it a little shake, smiling even wider.
"Will you keep me company?" His thumb drifted just a little lower, enough that the touch no longer felt entirely friendly. He was genuinely happy that you and his mother got along so well. That fact made him wonder what if...
"Yeah. Do you want something to drink?"
Jake nodded, his smile never leaving his lips. His eyes carried something warm and difficult to describe.
"Sure thing, bestie."
Hand slipped a little lower as he guided you out of the room.
my day off gave me an opportunity to post everything I had. bon appetit lol
Zack is thinking a lot about nothing in particular.
Zack was being a hypocrite and he knew that.
He does a lot of reflection and tries to be better not only for those around him, but also for himself. And it's hard sometimes, but he is patient.
About patience... Mira. The girl he was in love with for so long it wasn't really funny anymore. He tried to talk with Gongseob about it in a moment of weakness (he wasn't sure why he decided his teacher was a good choice for that conversation), and the man gave him the stupidest answer.
"You gonna run around her till you die? You wanna die as a virgin?"
Zack really wanted to jump from the mountain after those words.
What did this old man even know, huh?! There is a thing called love! Enormous and unconditional love!
At least that's what Zack was thinking about the situation.
Now back to you.
You had been around for a long time now. Zack remembered you being kind of friends with Mira before Daniel got into the school. So you two had a club Zack and the others weren't part of.
Well, pretty fair, considering those idiots were doing anything but school. You and Mira got closer, and suddenly it's the three of you.
Zack is having lunch with Mira? You are here. Walking her home after school? Oopsie, Mira's hand is already tugging you along. Cafe? Your face. Cinema? Mira is saying you two already watched that movie. Together.
Don't get me wrong. Zack had to be angry about it (he kind of was), but still it was giving him a strange feeling.
You were nice, and he knew you were around not because you were trying to disrupt their time together. You were always saying sorry to him and he couldn't be angry. Maybe just because he wasn't around so much, Mira needed someone else in her life to talk with.
The problem is... Okay, well, you are nice. Really funny and it was good to be in your company. He understood Mira. Sure.
But he didn't understand why his heart was beating so hard and your face appeared in his head more often. He was doing a lot of reflection, do you remember?
Well, that shit wasn't helping. Years of boxing weren't helping either. Maybe he just got hit really hard last time and something really changed in his head. Cause why was he thinking about you more than Mira?
His eyes kept drifting to you more than usual. Something about the way you were always around, but never too pushy. Helping with classes because he skipped them again. Giving your notes without asking for anything in return. You even complimented his new hair!
He was just a man, okay? He really wasn't asking for a lot. A few nice words and he was already feeling guilty that your face kept appearing in his head again and again.
His leg was bouncing, fingers tapping on the book nervously. This lesson was too damn long.
His eyes shifted to you sitting several seats ahead. You weren't listening either, already tired, so you were just drawing something in your notebook.
Your posture shifted and your eyes lifted. Zack swallowed so hard, he was sure everyone in the class heard it. Then you smiled. Smiled?! Zack blinked like you did something unbelievable. And for him? Yeah, you did.
His chest tightened. Was it..? Is it..?
The lesson ended and it took him several long moments to stand up. No. He needed to do something. Talk with you at least. He made this mistake before, he couldn't do it again. And you would understand, right? Right?!
Zack was behind you so fast it made you jump as he suddenly appeared. For a second you looked at him questioningly, waiting for him to say something. Honestly, he looked like he was about to punch you.
"You good?" you finally said, pushing books into your school bag. Students slowly walked out of the classroom.
Zack nodded. Once. Then he said your name like he was trying it for the first time. You blinked at him again.
"Yes, listen..." He looked to the side, then brought his eyes back. "... maybe you and me..."
"Aren't you gonna be late?"
Mira's voice made him jump even higher than you did before. He looked at her like she caught him doing something unforgivable.
She gave him a small glance before raising her hand to fix your shirt. Just a small gesture, but really meaning much more than that.
"Yep, right," you nodded, pushing the bag onto your shoulder. Your eyes were fixed on the girl in front of you a little too intensely for Zack's liking. Hello? He is here! "I almost forgot my shift was rescheduled."
Zack was just standing there. Hands shoved in his pockets, trying to mask how nervous he was. Daniel touched his shoulder, wanting to ask him if he was coming, but Zack gave him such a look that his friend grimaced. What did he do?
"I will text you later," you gave Mira one more glance, your hand squeezing hers before turning back to Zack. "Sorry, I need to go..."
Zack nodded his head so hard it made some strange noise. Daniel and Jay, who stood next to him, looked at each other. A silent communication.
He opened his mouth to say something, but stopped in the same stupid pose. You leaned in and placed a small kiss on Mira's cheek. A little bit too close to her lips.
Your cheeks were red as you hurried out of the classroom. Heart was beating faster as her pretty face permanently imprinted itself in your head.
All three guys froze. Zack's mouth didn't close. Somehow he got two shades paler. Daniel held a hand in front of his face to check if he was breathing. He wasn't.
"Z-zack?!"
"What's wrong? You don't feel good?" Mira got closer as well, seeing how pale her friend looked.
No. It can't be real. What was that about? Did he misunderstand something?! How is it possible?! He took such a deep, loud breath that his head got dizzy. A hand pressed against his chest. So dramatically.
Did he just lose a game he didn't know he was playing?!
While Daniel tried to save his friend from a stroke, Jay silently showed Mira a thumbs-up. Her cheeks redder and she shyly nodded.
Was it an approval..?
Gongseob was laughing his ass off. All tears and loud creaking sounds that didn't sound like laughing at all. Some rice flew out of his mouth, landing right on his student's face. Zack wiped it in disgust. His appetite was gone, even though he had been training for the whole day.
"The fuck is so funny, old man, huh?! I told you because I thought you could give me advice!" Zack raised his tone a little bit and got hit under the table.
"This is a sacred place, don't swear here, you fucking idiot."
"You just swore!"
"I can do that," the older man, still chuckling lightly, pressed a hand over his stomach. Ah, he hadn't laughed like that in a long time.
He looked at his student. Zack was sitting there like some kicked dog. Ahhh, love problems...
"How bad could you be if both your crushes got together? The hell did you do?"
He laughed again, this time even louder.
Maybe jumping from the mountain wasn't such a bad idea after all.
It's not like you're being dramatic all the time, okay? Sometimes everything is just so shitty, and your mood is even worse than that.
A healthy relationship is hard, too. Talk with your partner, be patient with your partner... We're all just silly humans.
And those dreams of yours can really affect your mood way too much.
☆ GUN
He is an observant man, especially when it comes to you, so yeah, he noticed almost immediately.
Gun isn't a talkative person himself; it just so happens that everyone around him loves to babble about nothing in particular (hi, Goo). Of course, he prefers silence, but not like this.
Gun would rather kill himself than say it out loud, but your voice wasn't so annoying. It was nice. Soft when he needed it. Loud when you were excited. Breathless when he was coming home after a long day and finally getting his hands on you.
Anyway.
"What happened to you?" Gun asked, puffing smoke in your direction. You didn't even wrinkle your nose.
Gun was looking at you stupidly while you were looking stupidly at the wall. Silence.
More smoke rose to the ceiling before he took a deep drag and stubbed out the cigarette. He'd already had a long fucking day.
"There," he said, placing some fancy-looking plastic bag on the table in front of you. "And I'll rebook the reservation at that restaurant."
Your nose wrinkled. Not from the smoke, but from his tone.
"You think you can just buy me like that?"
"So, you do remember how to talk."
"Huh."
His big hand rose before you had a chance to turn your head away. The depth of his black eyes held yours for a moment longer as his fingers squeezed your cheeks.
"Stop being a brat and tell me what you want."
There wasn't a chance for you to keep up the silent treatment when he was looking at you like that and the smell of his cologne was so nice.
"... I had a dream. You were unbelievably rude to me."
Gun blinked. Once. Twice.
Maybe he was spoiling you too much and you'd lost your mind. Maybe you'd always been like that. He wasn't sure.
"Get yourself a job."
"Huh?! Gun, where are you going...? No, come back! You also said..."
Long fucking day.
☆ JAKE
Jake knows how to lift your mood. A few words, touches, small kisses on your jawline, and your bad mood is nowhere to be found.
But Jake can also be kind of stupid sometimes. He's a busy man. Leading the whole damn crew can be a real headache, and he's only human, so he forgets things from time to time.
That's not the issue right now. The issue is that sometimes your brain makes stupid decisions because of even more stupid dreams.
"You hungry?"
Jake's voice. Calm and low, just for you to hear as he leaned close to your ear. You didn't say anything, your fingers tapping on the table a little more firmly. He noticed. Of course he did.
"Something happened? Why is the prettiest person in the world so mad?"
He lowered his voice even more.
Stay focused!
It was hard to do so as he shifted to look at you directly. Jake flashed that smile, tilting his head slightly. Your expression didn't change, so your boyfriend switched tactics.
"Let me guess... I forgot to do the dishes? No, I did that. Took out the rubbish? Nope, did that too..."
His hand rubbed his chin like he was thinking really hard.
"Ah! Maybe this..."
His lips pressed against your forehead. A loud, embarrassingly loud smooch. Then another one on your nose, your right and left cheek. The attack didn't stop until you couldn't take it anymore.
"Jaaake..." you said between laughs, trying to escape. "Stop! Why are you so loud..?"
"Because I love you," he said simply, his smile wide and bright. "And I hate seeing your grumpy face. What's gotten into you?"
As you wiped your face with the sleeve of your shirt, you glanced at him. Magically, that dream felt too stupid to even talk about.
"I had a dream that you broke up with me and started dating Samuel," you said in an indignant tone, trying not to laugh when he burst out laughing.
"I-I... what?" he asked, looking at you like you'd just said the funniest shit in the world.
"You said his chest is bigger than mine, so..."
Jake fell silent, staring at the sky. He was thinking hard. Really, really hard. Every single brain cell was working.
"... Well, I mean, have you seen his chest?"
"Bitch, you better be joking."
"Language!"
A loud slap landed on the back of his head.
☆ SAMUEL
Your eyes narrowed at the back of his head. His perfect-looking hair was somehow unbelievably annoying right now.
Samuel gave you a small thank you as you placed a cup of coffee on his desk and nothing more. He didn't even raise his eyes, fully focused on whatever he was doing. You were pretty sure he wasn't even that busy.
This morning had been shitty, mostly because of the stupid dream involving your boyfriend. The unpleasant feeling was still sitting heavy in your chest, so you'd been shooting him disappointed looks all afternoon.
The problem is... Samuel isn't stupid.
If you thought you could play mind games with him, he'd already won without even trying.
He's not the talkative type. You're the one who's always buzzing in his ear, so he wasn't really losing much from your silent treatment. Even your pointed glances weren't working.
He was finally home, and you could've been in his arms, but instead, you decided to start some drama?
Well, you did it with yourself. Not him.
After several long moments, you finally decided to let him win. Even tho he wasn't really trying to.
Was it some kind of manipulation? Maybe. But hadn't you tried to do the same thing?
Your arms wrapped around his neck from behind, your cheek pressed against his shoulder. The smell of his cologne was so good that you had to close your eyes for a second.
"You're an asshole," you murmured into his neck, nuzzling your nose against his skin.
"Try again."
"... Still an asshole, but I like it. Maybe I'm a masochist."
A few seconds later, Samuel placed whatever he had been reading on the table. He turned his head slightly to look at you, his expression thoroughly unimpressed.
"What was it about?"
"Don't remember..." You nuzzled further into his neck.
Samuel sighed. Of course. What else had he expected?
"Next time, I'll ignore you for a week."
"That's not healthy."
"Please think before opening your mouth."
"Rude!"
it was a long time since I wrote something. i'm sweating.
